Gently used piece- good condition– NO major damage or defects; no dings, dents, cracks, or broken parts; does show some wear and tear(i.e. scratches throughout the piece, mainly on the bottom legs due to impact with a vacuum cleaner) The last 2 pictures show what type of imperfections to expect as far as scratches go. This piece is from Korea and is about 20 or so years old. The exterior design was handcrafted by a Korean artisan who cut each piece of mother of pearl and abalone shell to create the likeness of a peacock surrounded by a blooming bouquet of flowers and butterflies. Please note that the color of the mother of pearl changes depending on the light source- when under natural light. It has a silvery iridescent glow and under interior lighting(incandescent bulb) it has an amber glow. The entire piece is made out of wood painted with a black lacquer finish. The interior is wood also(unpainted) I believe pine, but I'm not exactly sure(it's definitely NOT particle board, though) and it features 2 separate sections(left& right) each with different smaller compartments inside, the details of which are described below. There are 2 sliding doors to access the right and left side and it does have a lock, but I no longer have the key. The size of the entire armoire is 7ft(L) x 6.25ft(H) x 2.25ft(D) approx. It disassembles into 6 major pieces(if I'm not mistaken) top section. 2 sliding doors, bottom section, left section and right section. The top section holds the entire piece together. Once this is pulled off, all the other pieces can be separated fairly easily as there aren't any hinges holding them together. LEFT SECTION Features 1

European Antique Pine Armoire Wardrobe TV Cabinet cir 19th Century dovetail jts
For your consideration is an antique country pine armoire that can function as a TV cabinet. Wardrobe or general storage. As functional as it is beautiful. It is very deep and holds A LOT. Also has a big bottom drawer for more storage. I purchased it in 2001 at an antiques store on Robertson Blvd(since closed or relocated) for more than $3,000. The seller identified it as made in the 1800’s. I believe it was refurbished with some reclaimed doors and new hinges(lock does not work) I included a photo of the top of the piece to show the dovetail joints(top is dusty) This is a beautiful piece that I purchased for much much more than I’m asking. Nice real antique pine is becoming harder to find these days. The finish would look even richer if a coat of Briwax were applied(anyone can do this) In fact, experts suggest regular waxing. These photo's ... moredo not do this justice; I'll try and upload better ones. An additional note: The Blue House on Montana Avenue in Santa Monica closed yesterday, June 28, after 37 years in business. They had a very similar armoire selling for $11,500 less the sale discount(40% I think) A couple minor fixes need to be made. 1) The hinge on one of the doors needs to be reset slightly as the door is very slightly off, meaning not exactly horizontal when closed(difference is so slight, one would probably not notice on sight, only when actually closing the door) I could do this myself in minutes(but I’m lazy) 2) There are a few scratches in the wood that need to be waxed– they are shown up close in the photos. 3) The lock does not work. Rustic Old Wardrobe Closet estimated to be late 1800's to 1910's. This was not a top of the line closet by any means. But has a great deal of charm and character. The wheels and interior metal pulls for hanging clothes appear to be original. The little holder shown inside the left closet door was added at some point later on. I'm not an antique dealer and know little about this except for what you can see in the pictures. Also, there is a big stain on the bottom of the cabinet. I'd rather not mess with it. This closet is 10 ft. 9 in. long, it's 4 ft deep, and approximately 7 ft. tall. Lots of storage! It has 4 sets of glass(top) bottom is wood doors. There is a copper pull in each section, that you can pull out an hang your clothes on. I was told it perhaps come out of a men's clothes store in Kansas City. The top is one piece and the bottom is one piece. The back of the closet is not oak, it is just painted. The panels on each end are solid wood but have veneer panels, which some are needing replaced or redone. It's an old piece and would look great redone, but just as pretty like it is. All you see is the front of the piece, so I didn't redo it. It's old and I will sell it as is. You would have to come and pick it up. Not shippable.

Vintage John Thomas Batts Antique Wardrobe Armoire Dresser Cabinet Chest ~1910
A very unique. Beautiful and historic piece of furniture. The telescopic extension bracket system was patented by John Thomas Batts(J.T. Batts) Grand Rapids. Michigan. From what I researched- the patent was registered in 1909. The hanger in this unit is stamped as patent pending. So it should have been manufactured within a couple of years of 1909. BTW- he made his fortune on hangers but branched out into furniture too. Solid brass knobs and hinges; hook and clothes hanger are original and all have a very interesting design. Unique pull out mirror and 5 section drawer for jewelry and personal effects. One drawer with 4 sections One drawer with 2 sections Three larger. Open drawers. Antique Wardrobe from Ireland
We used to live in Ireland and bought this wardrobe in the coastal town of Dun Laoghaire. Then brought it along to the US when we moved back 14 years ago. It measures 83" high x 42" wide x 16" deep. It has one drawer at the bottom. The top-most trim piece is removable. It's in great condition. No splits, wood has a nice finish, I don't think it's ever been refinished. It does have a few minor imperfections and scratches(the worst is pictured) The mirror is in good condition, there's a slight imperfection at the top edge(also pictured) We know nothing of its origin. Description This is a great piece that I purchase for my previous home. It was originally in a guest bedroom as a his or hers. The center section is spacious. There are two smaller compartments at its sides. Raised large mid center panels have great carvings. The legs have great carved design as well. Some of the hardware needs to be replaced. Minor stuff. It measures about 108 inches wide. By 107 tall and is 18.25 inches deep. It disassembles to load into a van or pick up truck but it would be best to keep it as is as with each time it's unscrewed the wood might get damage in some sort of way since it is an antique piece. Overall. It is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings at the base as it is antique. Antique French? Hand Made Salesman's Sample Furniture Wardrobe Armoire W/ Drawer
Very nice antique salesman's sample wardrobe or armoire in French Country style. Piece measures 17-1/4" tall by 12-1/8" wide by 6-3/4" deep. It is quite old. No maker's marks or label on it anywhere. I think it is mahogany or walnut, very lovely deep reddish brown in color. It has one drawer, which is fully removable, drawer measures 8-1/2' wide by 4-1/4" deep by 1-7/8" tall. Doors and drawer have tiny wooden knobs, look to be original. Two shelves inside the armoire, doors have concealed hinges- pins in top and bottom of doors that are unseen from the inside or outside. Lovely cabriole legs all the way around, curved top is bent wood, quite a lovely and detailed cabinet. All looks to be hand crafted, hand made. Back is one piece of wood but does have a crack near the bottom middle of the panel and a small ... moreone near the top left corner, more noticeable from the back than the interior. There is one tiny sliver chipped off the lower right side corner, the chipped off piece is included and should be an easy fix with a dab of wood glue, the chip will be included for the buyer to repair. It does not sit quite level on all four feet, left front foot or back right foot would site better with a small felt pad applied which I will also leave to the buyer. Some very slight wavy areas to the top bent piece, more like a surface indentation or original grain imperfection, looks original. Overall, for it's age it is a beautiful piece! Would be a beautiful addition to your salesman's sample furniture collection or to your large scale doll and dollhouse collection. I accept Paypal. Payment is due within 7 days of end of auction.
