These are common in New England, ... morebut not in the rest of the country. They call this a bonnet chest as the top drawer is deeper to allow for bonnet storage being 10 inches high. The other drawers are 9.5 inches, 5 inches and 8 inches respectively. It has period hardware, that is a lion face with a ring going through its mouth. It has carved pillars going down both sides terminating in a Sheraton foot. It has solid plank sides that are not cracked! It has hand cut dove tail and scribed drawer faces. The overall size is 42 inches wide, 20 inches deep and 47 inches high. It is a good period chest at a reasonable price. You are bidding on 4 different antique Sterling Silver vanity sets. All are%100.00 hallmarked sterling silver. I could only upload the 12 photos you see here but I would be more than happy to email interested bidders as many as they like. The first set pictured is made by International Sterling and is just the mirror and brush. It is in good overall shape with the mirror having a little hazing. As you can see in the pictures it is monogrammed. But not quite sure what the initials are. The second set is made by Birks and consists of a brush, mirror. Nail file and the sterling holder for a comb but the comb is missing. All pieces are monogrammed with a N and again clearly hallmarked Birks Sterling. Overall the condition is good with slight clouding in the mirror. The nail file has some corrosion on the file portion. The 3rd set is hallmarked ... more925R sterling and consists of a brush. Both pieces are monogrammed with a C. The brush is in great shape but the mirror portion of the set has come loose and there is some small dents around the mirror edges. Also included is 2 smaller brushes(last picture) both are ornate and hallmarked Sterling Silver. The smaller one is hallmarked Sterling while the larger one is hallmarked F&B Sterling. 1907. In total there are 15 pieces of Sterling Silver up for grabs. My local antique dealer offered me $350.00 for everything so that's what I'm started the bidding at. Again. Mainly on the top as shown and the top drawer needs a pin to hold the drawer pull on. The drawer pull is with the dresser. Antique Pine Doll Dresser with mirror chest of drawers
This is an old pine dresser with a mirror. I am not sure of the age but take a guess it was made about 1900 based on the construction and condition. The color is an early american shade. With a semi gloss finish. It has no damage, broken parts or appreciable dents or scratches. Condition is very good! The mirror was out of the frame when I took the picture, but is back in again as it should be, just need to re-attach with the 2 mounting screws. The size of the bureau alone is 16 wide X 12.5 tall X 7.5 deep. The mirror atop is another 12.5 tall. So the overall height is 25 INCHES. I am really not sure what the original intended use was. But it seems like a female child's use as a bedroom item for jewelry and such. It seems too large for a doll house item. The pictures tell the story as well as I can. Humble Antique Black Walnut Dresser Mirror Armoire Storage Marble in Illinois
This Black Walnut Dresser/ Armoire is looking for a home and some TLC. It came out of my mother's home. Was used for storing linens. It measures 80" tall x 44" wide and 20 1/2"deep. It all comes apart for moving. The marble tops and the mirror. Dresser pulls are the originals. Unfortunately we have no room for it. It is in the kitchen which is waiting. To be refinished. The mirror has two round shelves on each side. Most likely for candles or. Oil lamps. Two side drawers. Two big drawers. The mirror has some scratches.
