They are hand painted in the cottage style tole with a basket of flowers that still shows lovely color for their age. I purchased this antique toleware bin/tea caddy in New York State. About thirty years ago. I am not sure of its exact age, but I would feel confident in saying it is at least 19th century, judging by the painting style. It is likely to be older. The body of the piece is in excellent condition, with no visible dents or breaks. As expected with very old toleware, there are signs of use/wear that I have tried to capture in the above photos. The piece measures 7 inches in width, 7.25 inches in height(at highest point) and 7.33 inches front to back. Set of vintage tin lithographed country floral trays– lithographed litho tin or toleware painting– older vintage/ exact age unknown. I am putting these two trays together because they have the same great size Not as wide as a regular sized serving tray. But still long– great shape Size: each is approx. 14 ½ by 9 inches. As you can see. One is in much better condition than the other The tray with the larger grouping of flowers is quite lovely with pink and purple flowers on the sunny yellow background The other sunny yellow tray shows quite a bit of wear and chipping– It shows just a single orange flower shape in the center. Condition: both vintage trays are worn– the tray with the pink and purple flowers does show wear. But it still quite charming– it does show some scratching, a bit of rust edge wear, but I think still quite lovely. ... moreThe other tray is quite worn with much chipping and damage.
