New Jersey, America. The company was owned by Thomas Maddock& Sons, Moses Collear, C.A. May and Thomas P. Donoher. This beautiful pitcher features a Delft Dutch water scene in Holland with windmills and sailboats. Vintage antique Maddocks porcelain large pitcher with a nice grey blue and white Dutch and sailing vessel design. Reads: MADDOCKS WORKS LAMBERTON ROYAL PORCELAIN. Measures approx. 11 1/2" at its tallest. And 9" in diameter at the base. No chips, cracks, scratches, or crazing and I would consider it in good condition for its age. However, no apparent crazing, dirt inside, some use evident Here for your perusal is this Wonderful Porcelain Water Pitcher It would have once been part of a set. There would have been a large bowl to hold the water for the washing of the face and hands. There might have been a soap dish. It was made by the Maddocks Lamberton Works out of Trenton. New Jersey. It was called Royal Porcelain. Based on the back stamp on the base. The Pitcher possibly would have been made between 1892 and 1924. Based on the nature of its usage, it was mostly on the earlier side. This pitcher is huge. At least as pitchers go. The approximate circumference of the body is 25 inches. Its tallest point is 11 inches at the spout. It weighs in at over 4 pounds. It is embellished with grey blue and white detailing. My guess is of a charming Dutch village and sailing vessels. Certainly it has slightly faded with time and use. But there are no surface type chips on the base. There is normal wear to the base. I have not cleaned the pitcher and it is dirty inside, but I have left that for

Elegant Antique White Pitcher~Royal Ironstone~Johnson Bros England
Tall water pitcher standing 12.5" from base to the flower on the handle tip. No major flaws of cracks or chips evident. There's a very small manufacturing flaw under the glaze near the base and one fleck of wood ash on the side. Yes, these beautiful antique pieces were produced with heat from an open wood fire. When held to a strong light, there's evidence of very light minor scratching. Johnson Brothers began manufacturing in 1883 in the Staffordshire district in the Hanley settlement and this would have been one of their earliest patterns as this tall, slim with rounded base style was produced in the 1880s and 1890s. Base is a mintish green. Flowers are a muted brown and pink This beauty does show it's age a bit.gold gilt not all there around the top and on handle. Just a couple of crazing areas inside vessel. There is a crack at the top that is on the inside that has not made it's way to the outside of pitcher. Also a photo of a darker drip at bottom of handle.looks like maybe when made? not sure. But all this adds to it's character. No Chips. I would not use this to put liquids in.this would be a lovely addition to anyone who loves antique water pitches and loves Shabby decor. From a cousin’s estate we have a WONDERFUL vintage embossed pitcher or creamer. It is white Ironstone made by Charles Meakin in England. This is a smaller cream pitcher with embossed flowers and possibly a ribbon on the backside by the handle. The top of the handle is ornate as well. The seam can be seen on the side- that is not a crack. There are speckles here and there under the glaze- kind of flaked blue or black. There are a couple small spots where the glaze is flaked off near the spout. No cracks and no chips. It is in extremely lovely condition for its age! See photos. Approximate measurements: 5-1/2" tall to handle and spout. 4-5/8" tall at middle, 5" from handle to spout, 2-7/8" across. The bottom is slightly oval measuring 2-3/4" x 2-1/5" across. Most of the estate is from the 40’s. 50’s and 60’s. Age ... moreof this item is from 1870-1882. Historical! Notes: I try to give an accurate description. But I am not an expert. Different nice people on eBay have different ideas of exactly when and where this reproduction was made, varying from turn of the century Germany to the mid-40's to mid-50's in occupied Japan. I do know for certain that this pitcher had been sitting in my parent's home since the mid-50's on. I just don't know the exact time, place, and circumstances of when it was obtained. The pitcher stands 7-1/2" at its lip. There is a black mark on the base of the pitcher that I was unable to remove.

This is a very large antique Johnson Brothers Ironstone/Semi Porcelain Washbasin and Pitcher. The bowl measures 17 1/4 across and 4 1/2 inches high. The pitcher measures 9 inches across and 11 1/2 inches high. The tag on the bottom(as purchased) says circa 1890-1915. It is in very good antique condition with no cracks or chips on the pitcher and mild crazing consistent with age. The washbasin has no cracks but a tiny flea bite on the underside which is not visible from above. There are some scratches on the bottom of the bowl where the pitcher sits but again consistent with age. Considering this is around 100 years old it is in very good condition. Antique Royal Doulton Lambeth Hunting Scene Rare Dog Handle, Pitcher
This is a lovely fine English pitcher. From the 1800's with applied figures. Around the plumpest part of the belly are horses, hunting scenes and dogs. The deep red iron oxide glaze glows orangy brown on the yellow clay of the stoneware body, while it changes to a nice ochre where the dip covered the figural decoration. The rare handle is applied, and is a wonderfully formed hunting dog. Condition of this beautiful pitcher is good with one small chip on the lip. And firing lines where the spout is joined which is typical in the manufacture of these pieces. The mark is"Doulton Lambeth England" This lovely English pitcher measures about 6 3/4" tall and about 71/2" wide. This is a beautiful and nearly perfect Morrisianware pitcher from Royal Doulton. It is decorated with scenes of ladies in Classical drape dancing and playing musical instruments in a blue on white color palette. It measures slightly over 6.5" tall and 4.25" across the base. It has the B7 mark for Royal Doulton and the Morrisian badge. The underglaze serial number is D1016 and indicates manufacture in 1901. There are no chips anywhere on the piece; it's only issue is a tiny hairline visible only on the inside and it's only.75" long- it's really a very fine line not detectable with a fingernail. I have for you this evening a large 11.25" ridged handle porcelain pitcher made By Royal Worcester and decorated in the design studio of that maker. This example is made of very fine translucent porcelain and is cast into a unique mold shape that has been a staple for the company for well over one hundred years. This gorgous piece is fully hand painted with floral designs including purple andblue and others in Autumnal colors of rust and yellow. All the floral decorations and foliage are trimmed in gold and the handle. Base and rim are heavily trimmed in gold gilt as well. Maddock's Works Lamberton Royal Porcelain Basin and Arner's Water Pitcher
MADDOCKS WORKS LAMBERTON ROYAL PORCELAIN AND ARNER'S WATER PITCHER The two items are not the same brand. But look nice together, so you get two for one! The pitcher is by Arner's, there is an inscription that says Thelma Xmas 1989 on the bottom. The pitcher is about 12 inches tall and about 9 inches in diameter. It is in great condition and super fancy. The basin is by Maddocks Works, Lamberton Style and made of Royal Porcelain. The basin has hairline fractures under the clear coat, see photo of the bottom to understand what I am referring to, otherwise, it is in great condition. The basin has some imperfections under the paint, maybe some dirt or dust under the paint when they were painting it? I don't know.
