Very nice antique Staffordshire Jackfield covered syrup jug or cream pitcher with a pewter lid. Dating from late 18th-early 19th century England. The pitcher measures approx. 7" high. 6.5" across the top spout to handle, base is approx. 3" x 4" The shiny black-glazed pottery is decorated with hand-painted green ivy leaves outlined in gold. The center panel on each side is accented with white enamel dots. It has an ornate curvy handle. The hinged lid is pewter and has a little leaf-shaped finial on the top. The pitcher is in very good estate condition. This is a stunning extra large pitcher or jog in Ironstone with blue flow blue-and-white decoration with an ornate handle. The lid is hinged pewter that is actually framed in to the rim. Antique Salt Glaze Pitcher with Hinged Pewter Top, in Daisy Pattern - 5.5" Tall
Very charming small salt glaze pitcher. With an attached and hinged pewter lid. The relief design the pitcher is a lovely group of daisies against a stipple background with a fluted column at the top leading to the pewter lid. This pitcher saw service, as you can tell from that lid. Nevertheless, it's a wonderful piece in great condition. No chips or crazing. There is one repair on the handle, as you can see in the last picture, and it's so well done that it's barely noticeable. The pitcher stands 5 1/2" tall. With a maximum diameter of 3 1/2" It doesn't have a manufacturer's mark so I'm unable to determine who made it and exactly when. However, I believe it dates to the mid-Victorian era. Creamer/Syrup Pitcher Hinged Pewter Top Antique Porcelain Floral Gold Trim
This pitcher has issues. There is a chip in the side(see picture) that is a little bigger than a quarter inch round. It is deep. There is a crack in the neck(see picture) that is visible on the outside but more visible on the inside(because it is all white inside and the floral design partially obscures it on the outside) The gold has worn off in some places. It has been in my family at least 50 years and could well be a hundred years old. As it came from my grandmother.
