Antique La Belle China Chamber Pitcher and Basin Bowl Set Wheeling Pottery This listing is for matching Pitcher and Bowl set with a beautiful floral design. Marked as LaBelle China. This pottery was made by Wheeling Pottery Co. Wheeling, West Virginia, between the years of its operations from 1879 to 1909. PITCHER: The pitcher is in exceptionally good condition for its age. There are no chips or cracks. There is age-related crazing all over. As would be expected of an item this old. The crazing is not visible from a distance. The color of the porcelain china is still very good with little or no fading. The LaBelle China mark is on the bottom. The pitcher is about 11-12 inches high and 9 inches wide. BOWL: The bowl is in good condition for its age. There are no chips or cracks on the inside surface of the bowl. There are no cracks on the outside ... moresurface. There are 3 very small chips/ dents on the outside that may be manufacturing defects. There is age-related crazing all over. As would be expected of an item this old. There are several areas of discoloration near the rim. Some of these brown streaks extend vertically from the rim toward the bottom in the inside of the bowl. The LaBelle China mark is on the bottom. Antique Villeroy and Boch Wash Basin & Pitcher Set ~ Over 100 Years Old!
Antique Villeroy& Boch Wash Basin and Pitcher in ivory and gold. Made in Dresden, Germany, between 1874 and 1909 according to the bottom maker's marks. This gorgeous matching set is in excellent condition(no crazing) And the gold bands are estimated to be 98 to 100% intact on both the basin and pitcher- very unusual for pieces of this age. The basin has no cracks or chips. In the interest of full honesty, the pitcher has one minor defect: a hairline crack which runs across the gold band(4.5mm or one-sixth of an inch) and approx 14mm(one-half inch) along the rim of the pitcher. The line is perhaps 1mm wide(I can't get a measurement with my digital caliper, but it appears to be literally about the width of a hair) It is not loose and does not go all the way through from the rim to the side(or from one side to the other) It is difficult ... moreto see in normal use and viewing; in fact. I only found it when reviewing the pictures I took for this listing. Please see the detailed pictures for complete condition information. Breathtakingly beautiful.did I mention GORGEOUS Victorian Floral Antique Royal Flow Blue Wash Bowl and Pitcher Set in IRIS pattern Circa 1891-1902 Amazing Set for its age. Finish is full of shine. The Blue is Deep and flowing. Love this set. Displays so beautifully. This set. It appears to be a iris floral decoration. Set is highlighted with intricate gold gilding in the most breathtaking design on both the pitcher and the bowl. Very minimal gold loss through the ages. A few minimal scratches on the bottom of the bowl from pitcher. No discolorations that I could see, may be one or two tiny flea bites. No chips, repairs or cracks. Very little crazing(if any) I mean this set is amazing. Royal Doulton made in England. I love this set. It displays so well. Pitcher and bowl sets were an essential part of every home all through the 19th century until we started getting indoor plumbing. Most bedrooms in most homes would have a pitcher and bowl set so people could wash up. It would sit on the nightstand or on a washstand and they used it every day. Tell me how you got hold of this washbowl. APPRAISER: If we take out the pitcher and set it aside. We can turn up the bowl so that we can get a closer look at the design. This has a really elaborate cobalt blue under glaze design of iris. On top of that is a really elaborate gold work. The gold is actually raised up, which is a more expensive process than flat gold. On the bottom, we can turn it over and take a look at the mark. It is made by the Royal Doulton Company. This is before it was Royal. This mark was used from about 1891 to about 1902. Pitcher-and-bowl sets are not a very popular collectible. If you had collected 20 pitcher-and-bowl sets, where would you put them? They take up so much space. And most pitcher-and-bowl sets are very utilitarian-looking. They were not expensive because people used them all the time

The only flaw is some hairline cracks inside the basin visible only when wet, and a hairline crack on the outside, and a small chip on the rim, seen in pictures 6 and 7, it does not leak The wash basin is 15 1/2" in diameter and 4 3/4" high The pitcher is 11" tall The marking on the bottom is somewhat smeared and difficult to read. A beautiful Wheat Design. This set matches. Even the basin has wheat decoration around its rim. The Straight razor dish could also be used for soap, and often was. It is stamped( Imperial Ironstone China) and made by Robert Cochran& Co. of Glasgow Scotland. It measures 8 1/2 inches. The Pitcher(Royal Ironstone China) is 12 1/2 inches high and is made by W&E Corn of England. The basin is 14 1/2 inches in diameter and 4 1/2 inches high. It is made by Baker& Co Ltd. of England. It has Pearl White written over the crest. All pieces are in excellent condition. In addition I am including a 1890 edition of the Hymn Book"The Finest of the Wheat" For Missionary and Revival Meetings. The gold trim and some gold accents are faded from normal use. Pieces show signs of wear All pieces show crazing under the glaze. Pretty normal for pieces this old. The large cold water pitcher and washbowl show the most; the hot water pitcher almost none. Washbowl measures 16" in diameter and 4 1/2" tall. Circa 1890-1910. Fantastic condition! This graceful rose transferware WASH BASIN AND PITCHER pair has NO CHIPS. CRACKS OR OTHER DAMAGE, and only the wash basin shows mild uniform crazing. Pitcher has no crazing but about 5 tiny dots sit on surface of unknown origin(I did not try to clean them as I'm not an expert) They partly came off with my fingernail. Dimensions: 13" high total. Antique BROWNFIELD & SONS 4 PC Set Wash Basin Pitcher & Bowl with soap dish
Very rare Brownfield& Sons wash basin set. Bowl is approximately 5" tall and 15-1/2" diameter. The pitcher is 13-1/4" tall. I believe the other piece is a soap dish but I haven't seen one like it before. The top has 21 holes in it so the water can drain into the bowl underneath. This small dish is 2-1/4" tall and 5-3/4" diameter(This is the measurement with the lid on) Each piece has a very beautiful floral design. The only piece not stamped with the Brownfield& Sons hallmark is the lid to the small dish but it is obviously original to the set. No chips or cracks which is very rare for a set this old. The basin also has cracks inside, by the lip and outside(I found 2) but its not a cvrack the goes through the ceramic. The basin is a very thick ceramic almost like an Ironstone piece. It measures 17" in diameter and about 5.25" high. The Pitcher measures 11.875" High, 10" by 8.5" NOTE: If you purchase this item. Antique PITCHER & BOWL, Basin Set ~ England~ Meakin 1875 Mark, Jesmond
Antique PITCHER& BOWL. Basin Set Marked Jesmond England with 1875 Alfred Meakin Mark Offered is a very old wash basin and pitcher marked Alfred Meakin and Jesmond. England. From what I have been able to find out, the Globe maker’s mark was used by Alfred Meakin Ltd. between 1875 and 1897. Alfred Meakin Ltd was set up in 1875 and operated from the Royal Albert. Victoria and Highgate Potteries in Tunstall. Alfred Meakin was the brother of James and George Meakin who ran a large pottery company in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent. Considering its age. The set is in remarkable condition. The bowl has a few inches of roughness along the rim. There are tiny chips that have to be felt. The pitcher is in very good condition. There is a small crack where the handle is attached to the body of the pitcher. I believe it has probably been there since the day ... morethe handle and pitcher were attached. Take a look at the picture and I think you’ll understand how I came to that conclusion. There is also a tiny glob of something on the lip of the pitcher; maybe paint. It was possibly too close when the room was painted. Finally. There is a tiny flea bite or two along the rim Both pieces have light crazing. They are 120 or so years old. They deserve to develop a few flaws like the rest of us oldsters. The bowl measures almost 14 inches across and stands 4 ½ inches. The pitcher is 11 ½ inches at its tallest point. The set has survived over 100 years. I would hate to have it damaged in the mail. So I plan to pack it in a very large box and possibly double box the pieces. Antique 3 Pc Bath Chamber Set Basin Pitcher Commode Large Orchid England M L Co
Very impressive Victorian 3 piece matching chamber set. You get the pitcher. Basin and 3 piece slop-jar or commode. Made by Moore Leason& Co. around the 1890's in England. Beautiful pattern called'Orchid' in a baby pink and fades into a pinkish brown. The transfer print is the pinkish brown color, and the set has gold accents. There's also hand painted, raised white dots on the flowers. These pieces are on the larger side. The pitcher is 11 1/2" high, the wash basin is 15 1/2" in diameter and 5 1/2" high and the commode is 13" in diameter(counting the lug handles) and 13" high. The pitcher has been broken and repaired on one side- see pic 2. It's a bad break, but the fix is pretty stable. The break is on the back of the pitcher(the front only has the hand painted raised, white dot accents) ... moreThe basin is in excellent condition, just one small surface ding on the side(about 1/4" round) and it looks like it's been painted. The commode is really cool! It's made up of the lid, small basin piece with center knob and openings under knob, and then the container itself. The lids of both pieces have pretty gold knobs/finials and the commode part has big gold lugs with a ray or wheel design. The middle piece to the commode has a hairline crack that runs all the way from the edge to the middle opening, but as with the repair on the pitcher, it seems quite stable. They are all marked England M. L. Co. Orchid. Super hard to find a set like this, and would be a beautiful addition to a collection, or for use in your bathroom. Please email me with any?s. Antique hand painted eight piece chamber set made by Mercer Pottery circa 1905. The set includes: A slop pot with lid(14 1/2" high x 11 1/2" wide) No chips. Cracks. A wash basin and pitcher(17" wide x 4 1/2" high; 13" high x 10" wide. Respectively) No chips or cracks. A chamber pot with lid(8 1/2" high x 10 1/2" wide) Crack in handle made at manufacture. Large chunk of lid rim missing. 3" x 1" A vanity pitcher(8 1/2" high x 6 1/2" wide) Several long cracks running through the body. An oval section has been broken out and repaired. Can hear the item is cracked when setting it down. A soap dish with lid(3 3/4" high x 5" wide) A 2" x 1" piece has broken from the dish and been repaired. A shaving mug(4" high x 5" wide) A 2" crack from lip downward leaving ... morea small piece missing on rim. A tooth brush holder(5 3/4" high x 4" wide) A 3/4" x 1/4" surface rim chip. Very shapely mold with high curved handles. Scalloped rims and fluted body shapes. Molded scrolls and fretwork in the bodies. Handpainted front, back and inside the rims of the pitchers with blue poppies and pink daisies. Gold scroll work and sprayed daubs on the borders and handles. This would have been a high end set. There is some crazing in addition to the condition issues listed above. Most pieces marked with a crown and shield and Mercer Semi Vitreous in brown. The mark used by the Mercer Pottery out of New Jersey between 1902 and 1930s.

The bowl is made by Maddocks, Lamberton. MEASUREMENTS: The bowl is 4.5" high and 16.5" diameter. The pitcher is 13.5" high and about 9" wide at the handle. Antique Wash Basin & Pitcher Ironstone Ironware Set Bowl Marked Flo Blue
This antique. Authentic wash basin and pitcher are made of ironstone, probably in the 1800's. The impressed makers mark is on the basin only. Two animals facing each other in between a shield. It could be a dragon or a lion facing a bird. It's hard to tell. Underneath it says Flo Blue 1850. The pitcher only has 1850. I realize this does not look like anything the term is used with today. I have not been able to find any information on this mark. My great aunt was a huge antique collector and this set came from her. She passed in 1968. The basin or bowl is 5" tall and 15 3/4" across. Both pieces have been glazed completely. The colors are cream and shades of brown mostly. With a reddish undertone in the center of the pitcher. The pitcher handle is 12" high and the body is 8" wide. It has a beautiful shape and the ... morepattern really accents the shape. Some photos are with a flash. It has been sitting in a garage apartment for almost 50 years untouched. I repaired a chip on the base of the pitcher. There are a few spots where the color is gone. Just flea bites and one place on the upper edge of the bowl. The bottom rims both show some signs of wear. The Flo Blue mark is something I personally have not seen. I believe this piece was made in England. I also believe the term flow blue has been used to describe a look and now is known as a process. To me. This set is evidence of a company or a manufacturer of that name. Some always cry forgery if they aren't familiar, but I don't believe a forger wouldn't use Flo Blue on a brown piece. It feels like this could be a piece of history that we have lost. If anyone knows anything about the mark and the Flo Blue name. I would love to know! Large Antique 1800's Furnival Wash Basin Pitcher & Bowl Set / Leaf & Flower
PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR PICTURES AND DESCRIPTION Up for auction is this antique Furnival Wash Basin/ Pitcher& Bowl set. The pitcher stands a little over 11 inches tall and the bowl measures 15 inches across and about 5 1/2 inches deep. Together the set weighs almost 11 pounds. It has a pretty flower and leaf transferware design. There is crazing to both pieces. I didn't find any cracks or chips. But there is some age and gold loss. I am actually surprised how much gold still remains on both pieces. The rim of the bowl has a couple little blemishes but I wouldn't call them chips. I have taken pictures of both pieces and their marks on the bottom. This set is expensive to ship safely. I have used the shipping calculator through ebay to calculate the shipping cost. I will check other carriers to see if I can get a better shipping ... morecost. But it is heavy and large. All items must be paid for within 5 days of auctions end. I don't know much about this set. There are no marks on the items to indicate maker or year made. My research shows that the Ford Challinor Co. Wheat and Clover Pattern is the closest thing to this. But. I am not knowledgeable about ironstone, or the makers; so I can't say for sure. I spent a lot of time researching this already, so I have to give up trying to identify it. I leave it to you- the experts- to determine what this is, and bid top dollar for the delight of possessing this unique set. The pitcher weighs about 4 pounds and is 11.5 inches tall.
