I do not know the age, but do know it is old. Belonged to my Great Grandmother who died several years before I was born in 1959. Vintage USA Pottery Homer Laughlin or McCoy Ball Pitcher
Very old vintage ball pitcher in rich cranberry color. Glossy glaze. I believe this piece to be Homer Laughlin. Numbered on bottom(not clear) This is a very heavy piece which shows its age. It stands 9 inches tall and measures 8 inches across the body. There is a glaze imperfection on one side but it is under the glaze and was created that way. Otherwise. The piece is perfect.

Vintage GMB Gladding McBean Ice Lip Ball Pitcher
Oval stamp on bottom of pitcher contains the letters GMB as noted in the pictures. Under the oval are some initials that I am unable to identify. Under these initials appears to be the initials USA. The pitcher is in excellent condition without any cracks. Chips or crazing. GMB was a precursor to Franciscan ware. The pitcher is 8 inches wide from tip of the spout to the handle and 6 inches deep.

Stands approx 5.5" with approx 3.75" round base. Clear glass with hand painted 5 petal flowers and buds on green leaves and stems. Flowers extend the horazontal width of pitcher. Four 6oz juice glasses with exact same pattern as pitcher. Stands approx 3" tall and 2" rim to rim. Base diameter 1.5" The taller 12 oz glasses are of the same colors with 5 petals and buds on green stems. Gold rim intact. Stands approx5.25" tall and 2.25" base diameter. No cracks or chips. Art Deco Moderne 1950s Ball Pitcher Vintage Rua Chile Pottery MCM Futuristic
This wild and amazing pitcher has hand painted abstract designs all around. The bright contrasting white brown and black colors really pop. The uncommitted shapes remind me of fish on one side and a television with lamps on the other. I have not seen other related pieces and believe this to be a rare item. Marked on the underside"Rua Chile 390" In great condition it stands 6 1/2" tall and its 8" from the handle to the spout. No chips cracks or repairs. Antique Henry Wadsworth Longfellow Ball Jug Pitcher The front shows an oval portrait of the bearded Longfellow and on the back is a seven-line excerpt from a Longfellow's poem"Keramos" The writing at the top says. Excelsior, Hiawatha, Evangeline, Tales of a Wayside Inn, etc. The poem. Keramos, on the back begins, Turn, turn my wheel! Turn round and round without a pause without a sound, So spins the flying world away! This clay. Well mixed with marl and sand Follows the motion of my hand; For some must follow and some command Though all are made of clay" Printed on the underside in underglaze black is the inscription: Manufactured by Josiah Wedgwood& Sons Etruria/ For/ Richard Briggs/ Boston/ Registered in Great Britain/ and France/ Also in the/ United States. Briggs(1829-1893) Who had commissioned the jug(the precursor ... moreof many commemorative plates, cigar box labels, busts, bookends, inkwells, and cardboard models of Craigie House) in 1880 as a Christmas present for Longfellow, was a china decorator and pottery dealer on 137 Washington Street in Boston. The handle is cold painted brown on the inside and there is paint loss on the inside. The outside of the spout is also cold-painted brown(not the flowers) On the back of the jug there is some color bleeding of the black printing under the glaze. It measures 15.87 x 23.49 x 16.51 cm(6 1/4 x 9 1/4 x 6 1/2 in. One of these pitchers is part of the Boston Museum Of Fine Arts Americas collection and another one was appraised by Antiques Roadshow for between $300- $500
