80 Sections of antique wrought iron fence, each section is eight feet long
I am listing for our local cemetery 80 sections of wrought iron fence. Each section is 8 feet long and 49" high. This is close to 640 feet of fencing. Almost all sections are in very good shape. One section is badly damaged as seen in a photo. A few sections have some damage as seen. This is a very old fence. The cemetery dates back to the late 1800's. I am not sure when this fence was installed. But it was a long time ago. We will keep this fence in place for the winning bidder to remove. The condition of the iron is good as it has been well preserved by the paint. This is a slightly shorter fence at 29 in. high with a simple cast iron ball finial. This fence makes beautiful garden or yard fence. This is a good height for the top of a stone or brick wall. There is also an original set of 10 ft. wide driveway gates with scroll work on each side. Antique wrought iron from prestigious New York City building! This is an extremely rare find! This antique wrought iron fence is from a renown New York City building erected in the late 1800's. The historical building still stands which was protected for over a century by this beautiful tall fence. The fence is 6 1/2 ft. tall and is all hand banded and turned the original way. The iron was well maintained with top grade protective paint. There is no rotting. Even on the bottom of the verticals. The finials are also surprisingly intact with very few, if any breaks. There are 6 posts which have ornate cast iron finials. These are used on either side of the two pairs of gates available with this lot. Each set of gates is 10 ft. wide. The posts are approximately 7 ft. tall and may need extending at the bottom depending on your installation. ... moreFour posts in this lot are for the driveway gates. Antique 1890's hand forged rare hoop design fence with badges. I have approx 115 foot of fence. There are 23 pieces that are approx 5 foot long and 39 inches high. Ground brackets and fence posts are also included. Some brackets are a little bent but usable. I also have 5 corner posts that are approx 54 inches high. 3 are in good condition. 1 has 2 loose corners, and 1 is completely broken, but I have all the pieces so it can be repaired. Antique Victorian Cast Iron Fence Hoop and Spear 160 feet PLUS
I had searched for this fence and footage amount for a long time. Finally found it last summer from a 1800's home in Ny-got it home and now hubby says he wants another type of fence. Lordy. The 20 pieces are leaning up against my brick home where you can see all of the ivy by it. Each section measures 8'2-1/2" from side to side height 33-3/4" to the top of the middle of the hoop. Nice hoop and spear style in pretty nice condition for it's age. I used a sewing tape measure going around the tubular area 1-1/2" Heavy. And of course rusty. I have shown one picture with one section painted with a black rust paint. I placed all of the pieces on the sidewalk for pictures. There are 22 line posts with the supports attached and all finials-these go between the fence pieces. One section 103-1/4" Two sections 98-3/4" this is the section taken leaning against the concrete wall. One piece 98-1/2" A total of 49-1/2" There are as pictured two lentils that are the same height 45" to the top of the point on the spear. One is missing the straight piece that has the finial on top, but you can use the straight piece from the taller lentil it works. For your consideration I am offering this antique section of wrought iron fence.may have even been a gate section?very heavy and it took a couple of people to load this.I would estimate it to weigh at least 200 pounds.the upright posts are a whopping 1 1/16" square and there are a couple of pieces that are 2 1/16" x 1 1/16"Due to age I can't tell if a couple of the posts have been repaired or if this was just made this way.I think 3 of the posts look like they were connected and it would have been done many years ago.a tip on one of the decorative pices on top is broken off but it is small and could be ground to resemble the others if wanted.I am going to offer this complete and if it doesn't sell I may end up cutting it up and offering in small lots for the blacksmiths/knife ... moremakers.I saw where someone is selling lots of 12 pounds for $25- $30.with the weight this could part out to make 16 or more lots of 12 pounds and at $25- $30 a lot this could bring $400- $480.I would prefer to see this purchased and used in a garden setting because it really is neat looking. I have used this service several times myself with excellent results. PICKUP LOCATION IS CLARKSVILLE OHIO 45113 BEAUTIFUL matched set of ornate wrought iron driveway gates circa 1800s. Measures 12 feet wide(each half is 6 feet long) The tall ends are 67' tall. Measures 51' tall at the shortest section in the very center of the two gates. Conditon: The gates have been stored in an old barn for a few decades. They are dusty and dirty and ... morerusty. There is pitting but all of the metal is solid. There is one bent shaft on the top and the far right side of the right gate has a bend near the top. I have shown both of these minor flaws in close-up photos. Otherwise no other bends or problems. 7 Sections of ANTIQUE WROUGHT IRON FENCE each 5 feet long with FINIALS Vintage
I have for auction a beautiful section of antique wrought iron fence. This fence came from a cemetery the person I purchased it from also said it is approx 120 years old. It has 7 sections of fencing that are each approx 5 ft long by 3 ft 4 1/2 inches tall from the ground to the top of the finial. We looked at the fence and there are enough brackets to connect this section of fence together with it ending with one section having an extra bracket and the other end will not. You will need to add your own bolts and nuts to connect them. They are topped off with neat old finials each measures approx 4" I have numbered each section so I can describe each one individually and I will try my best to describe it so you know exactly what you are buying. 1= has 8 top and bottom finials and every thing looks straight#2= has 8 top and bottom finials ... moreand it looks straight it has the one end piece is loose and has the top bolt but the bottom 2 are missing#3= has 8 top and bottom finials and the 2nd top finial has a bend to it approx 1/2" off center. This one is a little rustier than the other ones. 4= has 8 top and bottom finials and the 3rd finial on the bottom has the top part broken off/ missing#5= has 9 top and 8 bottom finials and there are 2 finials with their tops broken off/ missing on this section#6= has 7 tops and 8 bottom finials and everything looks straight#7= has 9 top and 8 bottom finials there is 1 finial bent on the top row(next to the sticker) it is bent approx 3/4- 1" and the one bottom leg is bent some as well This is for local pick up only. ANTIQUE VICTORIAN GARDEN GATE LOOKS TO BE WROUGHT IRON BUT I'M NOT SURE. IT HAS A CROSS ON IT HAS HALF OF THE HINGES ON IT MEASURES 29 1/4" WITH HINGE) LONG. 23" TALL, 2" THICK THIS CAME FROM AN OLD VICTORIAN HOME. THEY WERE USING IT AS A GATE ON THEIR WROUGHT IRON FENCE. I'M THINKING IT WAS ON A CHURCH AT ONE POINT COVERING THE WINDOWS.
