Lot of 3 STERLING Vintage RELIGIOUS PENDANTS w CHAINS: St Joseph, Sacred Heart
These 3 Sterling silver Catholic pendants or medals are heirlooms that belonged to past members of my family. But I don't know who owned what piece. They may have all belonged to my mother, for they were ultimately part of her estate. All 3 pendants are 60+ years, maybe much older. Two are St Joseph pendants and one is a"Sacred Heart of Jesus" The larger St Joseph has a long unbroken chain designed to go over one's head. The other two pendants have little clasps on slightly shorter chains. The Sacred Heart piece may show wear over one of Jesus' eyes, but maybe it was made that way, I don't know. The other have very fine miniature carvings or moulds of St Joseph holding the Christ child. I have included a nickel in one photo for size comparison. Italy, and opened a shop on Newbury Street. Later they opened a second shop on Cape Cod. Parenti is a rare mark seen on beautiful, handcrafted silver jewelry from the 1930's- 1950's. The marks“Sterling” and“Parenti” are found at the back of the crucifix under the bail. Please note the handwrought detail. Note also the inscription to a noted canon lawyer in 1957.
