These impressive and dramatic jars have a rooster or cock motif to the enamel decoration; the handles also have a bird theme. These have a striking color palette of black with shades of red, orange, and yellowish-tan with minor white areas. These have gilded metal areas. Each jar stands about 9 inches tall, with a maximum diameter of approximately 8 3/4 inches. Unpacked, the set weighs just under 8 1/2 pounds. These jars would be a fine addition to a collection of vintage Asian decorative arts. Identification These jars are Chinese. They are vintage. But the exact age is not known. They are unmarked. Condition The jars looks very good overall. With light wear. The underside of one lid has a minor, circular flaw, as made(as shown) The metal areas have minor finish wear and some tarnishing. The handles have small areas of minor darkening; there are some tiny holes in the handles that appear to be as made. Likely as made, there are a few minor pits/ flaws to the blue enamel inside the jars, just below the gilt rims(example shown) this only shows under close inspection when the lids are off. A tiny, scattered pit to the enamel, here or there, is as made. Beneath one jar, the blue enamel has some whitish streaks, as shown. The rim has a slightly ruffled edge with 8 ... moreslight curves inwards. The Chamber Pot shows wear to the Gold trim which is about 80 percent intact on the body. But only 10 percent intact at the rim and handle. It has some glaze imperfections with some scuffing to the base where it sits. FOR SALE: A gorgeous antique bedroom set. Pitcher. Wash basin and chamber pot with cover are in excellent condition, remarkable for their age, no chips or cracks and only the slightest discoloring. The beautiful pattern is called'Phlox' and my photos don't do justice to its rich yet delicate colors. The pitcher measures 11" tall x 8" wide x 5" diameter at the top. Wash basin: 5 1/2" tall x 15 1/4" diameter. The chamber pot: 5 1/4" tall x 9" diameter at the top. Age unknown but my best guess is mid to late 19th c. This is a vintage porcelain enamelware white chamber pot or pail. Dome shaped black trim lid with swing bale wire and nicely turned wooden handle. It is a heavy duty piece. Measures approx. 10"high to rim has a width of approx. 10” at the rim and the circumference around the rim measures approximately 32 ½” This urn shaped pail is large and the pot and lid together weigh around 4 ½ pounds. There are a couple small chips around the lid rim. Three uniform marks on the bottom(possibly from the manufacturing process) and there is a manufacturer’s flaw of a paint drip as seen on the photo with the scale. Other than that. This is a wonderful antique Semi-Vitreous porcelain chamber pot. It is a lovely rusty orange and white around the outside and all white on the inside. It has a scrolling accent design around the center of the outside and a handle with some scroll designs also. The bottom is marked with the green stamp mark of the bird with wings spread and the words. semi-vitreous porcelain" written around it. Underneath that is says, K.T. H. Co. This old pot is in good condition for its age. It does have some crazing on the inside bottom, but not bad. Around the outside, there are some paint scratches and scuffs. The bottom base edge has two 1/2" to 3/4" chips along its edge. But that is it! This piece is very old and looks pretty good for its age. The makers mark is one used by the company between 1879 and 1903. Both the pot and lid are in excellent condition with no chipping, cracks or crazing. Transferware of delicate roses in shades of pink with gilt highlighting. The gold paint show wear in some spots particularly around the edge of the lid. This in no way detracts from it's beauty. This is a substantial piece measuring 8" in height and 28-29" around the widest point of the pot. It is unusual to find a piece of this age in such good condition and with a Lid. Antique Porcelain 19th Century Commode From the estate of a collector. This is a nicely decorated porcelain chamber pot with a lid. White glaze with yellow, there is a nice old crackle finish on the glaze. The lid has a beaded and scalloped edge with a fancy applied handle. The bottom sits on a pedestal form that also has a scalloped base, and there is a handle in the back. No chips or cracks, in very nice antique condition. It is marked on the bottom in blue writing, but I am not sure of the name. Maybe someone out there is familiar with the marking. Chamber pot measures 8" across the top opening. 11" across with the back handle, and is about 7" tall to the top of the handle lid. Very nice. Pretty, antique Chamber Pot. It has a nice floral design that is also on the outside edge of the handle. The design is on both sides. It measures about 5 and a quarter inches tall and about 8 inches in diameter across the top. Ohio, USA Circa 1879-1904. Semivitreous. The Hallmark is a globe within a wreath with PORCELAIN underneath. Burfords is like that. But usually includes the name Burfords. White porcelain with a painted floral design including daisies and a pink flower(like a thistle) on both sides. Very pretty. Weighs about 3 pounds. Up for your bidding consideration is this antique porcelain Chamber Pot marked CORNELL. These antique pots are getting harder and harder to find. The pattern is green floral and leaf. The top opening measures a generous 8.75 inches in diameter. The chamber pot is in excellent condition with NO breaks. Cracks, or chips. A nice clean piece inside and out.
