Dating from the 1870s, it has burl panels all over, hand carved crest on the very top, five different style shapely mirrors, rose quartz on the drop center and two top columns, four small drawers, one large drawer on the base and a hidden drawer on the very bottom. The burl panels are all picture frame molded on the drawers and on the inside of the drop center. It has oversize candle shelves. In my over 50 years in the business, I don’t believe I have owned this model even though I have had my share of drop center dressers.

This fabulous early dresser is from Chicora Wood Plantation; an historical Rice plantation in South Carolina that was built in 1817. We believe this dresser to have its original rich finish. Original marble and mirror and the original early wood ring drawer pulls that are attached with wooden screws and blocks, and the original casters intact on the base. This high quality dresser has early dove-tailed construction on the dresser base top up under the marble and also on the drawer ends; and an old label with an original owners name handwritten with Chicora, SC written below on the base up under the marble. This dresser has a grand, majestic presence with incredible carvings and details; and amazingly left in its original state.you can almost feel the history in this piece when you touch it.incredible! This grand 19th century dresser measures 89 1/2 inches tall to the top of the fancy carved crest on the mirror. Antique burled birdseye walnut dresser. It has a white demilune beveled marble top and large center mirror. On either side of the mirror there are two curved cabinets with a shelf in each. Picture 10 shows a small piece of veneer at the top left that has come unglued and a couple marks. There are three graduated drawers. On the bottom of each side of the drawers there are two curved cabinets with a shelf in each. The four cabinet curved doors are finished on the inside. Antique Victorian Drop Center Marble Top Dresser w/ Pivot Mirror
A very cute little dresser brought up from Georgia to the Asheville NC area 20 years ago. Judging from the style and the candle shelves on either side. Late 19th Century. Features the original marble. Clean and unbroken, the original antique mirror, all of the original drawer pulls of figured brass, and the original casters. Original finish- has not been stripped. Stands about 80 inches high and 16 inches deep- it is a smallish piece and stands nice and shallow out from the wall- perfect for a small guest room or an accent to a large room. I'm not certain. But the wood is probably walnut. The five drawers all work just fine and have unusual'round peg dovetailing' construction(shown above in a detail shot) The hardware is ALL original EXCEPT that the bolts that originally held the pivoting mirror have been replaced by heavy screws. ... moreWhich doesn't affect the look of it too much(and they could be fairly inexpensively restored with something vintage) The mirror section is removable to facilitate moving. A very handsome piece. With minimal scratches and wear. The hand-carved details are a bit on the rustic side and not terribly fussy or'polished' workmanship. Almost folk arty. It is a solid piece and nice and usable still, with a decidedly'country' feel to it. The piece is actually quite light once the drawers are pulled out for transport and is not too heavy to lift at all. I love the carved details and personality of the thing! I do not want to ship it if I can help it- would prefer local sale. We live in Mars Hill. North Carolina, just 20 minutes from Asheville and easy directions to find us. I can help move it as well. This is an amazing three drawer dresser. Complete with marble top, grape leaf drawer pulls, and rolling casters for feet. The marble top is a languedoc stone that is found in France. It measures 48" x 22" x 1" The top is currently not mounted. This is how I discovered the piece and instead of re-mounting the marble. I would rather leave that option to the next owner. The body is made out of what I believe to be walnut. It measures 33 1/2" tall x 37 1/4" wide x 16 1/4" deep. This bureau belonged to my grandmother. Unfortunately. I do not have space for it any longer. I believe this is"Victorian Eastlake" It is in very good original condition with original hardware. Sold as is. No one has painted, refinished or otherwise tampered with it. There was never a mirror from the time my grandmother acquired it. Local pick-up only! This is a gorgeous Antique Eastlake walnut dresser with a white Carrera marble top. Ornately carved pivoting mirror, and glove boxes. The 3 drawers below have beautifully carved acorn pulls, and the glove boxes have porcelain knobs. There are burl panels on the front of each drawer under the pulls. The drawers have"pin and cove" joints. There is a crack on the top of one of the glove drawers as shown, but other than that, this is a very well preserved piece of furniture. This is a really nice old Eastlake Victorian dresser. It is in remarkably good condition. The drawers have the pegged scolloped rabbet joint very typical of the 1870's. The drawer bottoms are all original and in good condition. The top drawer which got a lot more use than the other drawers was worn on the bottom so its sides have been added onto to make them the proper size. The knobs have been replaced. But there is just one hole in the drawer indicating that the original pulls were single knobs. More pictures can be made available upon request for such things as I just described. This dresser is 98 inches tall to the top of the mirror. The dresser base is 26 inches tall to the top of the marble and it is 46 inches wide. The depth from front to back is 20-1/2 inches. Up for sale is this great Antique marble top dresser it stands over 7 feet tall with the mirror connected to it. It is about 43 inches wide and about 20 inches deep. It has a stunning mirror all complete and not broken. Its flaws are a crack in the marble top but was fixed at some point in itslife so it is one solid piece of marble just re glued back together. The knobs are not original Although I do have one original so you can match them up if you search for them. Also one of the candle stands has a black cup type ring on it. Beautiful antique Victorian or Eastlake dresser vanity. Marble tops are ivory in color and in good shape. Original ebony drawer pulls. All 4 drawers pull nicely with unique dovetail work. There is also a secret bonus drawer at the bottom that goes unnoticed. The mirror has some silvering in it. Burl wood inlays throughout. Minor wear to be found in places. But nothing terrible. The wood looks to be chestnut, but I am not positive. Great well made piece that will last many more years to come. My apologies for the somewhat awkward photos. This piece is heavy to move on my own. And the lighting was not the best for taking pictures. I am assisting a friend in selling this piece. It has been in their family for a long time. A most unusual antique. Circa 1840's, Empire period flame mahogany veneered and solid mahogany man's petite dresser. Lifting up and back of the top exposes a gray veined white marble surround, the underside of lid with the original very wavy mirror. The case holds four drawers with butterflied flame mahogany veneer fronts, the drawer interiors in oak. The case is on casters. The dresser measures 37-1/2" tall by 28" wide by 16" deep. Very good plus condition: damage is a horizontal crack to board and veneer across the top board of the lid. Both veneered sides have vertical shrinkage cracks. Includes all the locks and the key. Gently used Victorian-period furniture. Having burled walnut panel dove-tailed drawers with glass drawer pulls, and three original marble slab tops. Circa 1885-1890's. Two small square drawers at the top. And two large, long drawers below. The piece is on the original four casters(wheels) No mirror- not sure if it ever had one. You can use this as a dresser. Vanity table, or convert it to a bathroom sink/vanity/counter. If you were to do a sink, you'd need to take the drawer bottoms off and somehow keep the drawer fronts on. Also great for storing old linens, clothes, and textiles. CONDITION: Excellent condition ... morewith a few minor scrapes. Scuffs, or scratches on either/both the wood and/or marble- nothing major. As to be expected, it could use a light cleaning and a good polishing before use, if not just to show it some love. Drawers slide as they should. All four casters present, although one keeps popping out of its hole if you lift it too high off the ground. Glass knobs may or may not be the original hardware. No key, but if you try a few sizes of skeleton/cabinet keys, you're sure to find one that will work the locks. Marble tops have no chips or cracks. No musty odors. From a smoke free home/environment. Center inlay is spread over two drawers, depicts a classical Louis XV XVI bouquet of flowers tied with a ribbon in a big bow. Over the top is a large sienna multi-specimen marble. Piece has 3 drawers running down the center, on ends are two vertical doors with storage room and above them are smaller drawers, that are hinged on the outside and they swing open(see photo) The 3 center drawers and 2 doors are fitted with original antique locks. The two center drawers feature loop handles. Gorgeous quality bronze mounts cover the corners. And all four legs are finished off with dore bronze ... moresaboe mounts. Waxed and polished, only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth is needed to maintain the glowing luster.
