The three adjustable shelves each measure 9” in depth and 41 ¼” in width. This is truly one of the most beautiful Victorian Secretaries of its kind that we have had the privilege to offer. You will notice that there is some faint writing on the back of the piece(see the e-Bay photo) that probably indicates either the maker or the person for whom the piece was made. From what we can see it is signed M. Hall, Hannibal, MO. The details on this Secretary are absolutely wonderful! This beautiful Secretary is constructed of mahogany. And flame mahogany over a secondary wood and the details are exquisite! The bookcase top is graced with a beautiful open arch top with a lovely center foliate carved pedestal that is surrounded on each side with elegant applied scroll land leaf adornments. The bookcase top doors have wavy glass that appears to be original. And three adjustable shelves. The doors have arched tops with picture frame moulding around the original glass and carved foliate escutcheons. The right door has an intact lock and a decorative(non-working) key is included to assist in opening the doors. Also. You will note that there is a small, insignificant scratch on glass in the lower corner of the right door which in no way impacts the beauty or integrity of the original wavy glass. Antique 19th Century Mahogany Chest of Drawers - Dresser - Square Nails
It is an antique chest. The chest has mahogany veneer. The drawer sides and bottom are made of oak. The drawers have square nails and the underside of the drawers are hand chamfered. The interior of the pulls have carved mother of pearl. It is 48 1/2" tall x 21" deep x 49" wide. The chest is in fair used condition. The drawers open and close fairly smooth. The veneer has some warping. Chips and old repairs. The top is loose and has some dings, staining and remnants of tape. Overall, it presents well. A true antique. What a sweet chest of drawers. Salesman sample from circa 1850. Made of Walnut It measures 9 inches tall 9 1/2 inches wide 5 3/4 deep The chest has a water stain on the top. I have never tried to bleach it out. It looks to have been finished in the past. The rear of one of the drawers looks like it had been nibbled on in it's past. See photo. 22 INCH VICTORIAN SALESMAN'S SAMPLE DRESSER-1800's
The model stands 22-1/2" tall. 7-1/2 inches deep and 13-1/2 inches wide. It dates to the late1800's. This unique salesman's sample is of a Victorian dresser with mirror and lamp sconces. It dates sometime in the late 1800's and I have looked for the specific dresser but was unable to find a manufacturer. It is very similar to Eastlake dressers except for the drop center models. This is a 2 piece model but is held together with 2 nails joining the top and bottom. Over the years. This has begun to slightly wobble but can be easily fixed. This model has a wooden dresser top but I would assume the original dresser was marble. A marble top miniature would have been to heavy for a salesman to carry. I am not an expert but it appears to be made completely out of walnut. the mirror is in very good shape for the period. There is some ... morediscoloration and one small bubble but it is all reflective. The mirror is glass but has a wooden back which has protected it over the years. It has 3 sliding drawers which are held together with nails rather than dovetailing like all model furniture from that era. They slide easily. The knob handles on the dresser are intact and solid. There is a slight discoloration to one of the drawers which appears to be an area missed by the original stain but it may have been some other type of damage that I cannot tell. The back has some white paint drippings which to me means it was kept as a display after its usefulness as a sales item ended. Now it is a piece of history.

A very fine antique. Circa 1890's, carved and burled walnut marble top dresser with attached mirror frame and beveled mirror. Two piece construction. The case has three short drawers over two long drawers, with the original brass pulls. The drawer interiors are maple. Light burl walnut veneers across the drawers. The sides have a recessed panel. A finely mottled brown and white beveled marble slab is on top. The mirror frame is supported with a frame of deep carved classical cornice having acanthus, drapped swag, and serpentine ribbon. The mirror frame support measures 4'9" 57" tall by 3'7" 43" wide by 3" deep, the mirror glass 29" by 27-1/2" The dresser measures 3'8" 44" wide by 2'4" 28" tall by 20" deep. A very fine antique. Circa 1840's, Empire mahogany step back dresser with mirror. The front feet are large carved claws with acanthus leaf tops, below plinths supporting full round columns having acanthus carved capitols. Between are two flat deep drawers with curved ends. Above is the long convex front drawer, sectioned inside. Three small drawers are on top, all drawers with the original cut glass knobs with brass collars. Supporting the removable framed swivel mirror(new glass) are two carved acanthus leaf scrolls. The fronts and sides of the case are flame mahogany veneers, the case and drawer interiors of pine. Fantastic antique New Hampshire Chippendale chest of drawers. Constructed from pine. This piece has been stained a beautiful deep reddish brown tone. The chest has five graduated doors, each with sturdy dovetail construction and brass willow mount pulls and escutcheons. The chest has a classic overhanging molded top, which is balance my simple bracketed feet at the piece's base. This chest probably dates from the late 18th century or early 19th century. Overall. The chest is in fair to good antique condition, but does have some wear and dings commensurate with age and use. One of the escutcheons also has a break near the top, as you can see from the pictures below. Otherwise no significant damage or visible repairs. This is a 54" Round Dining Table in good original condition. There are some areas on couple of legs where edges are chipped, but table is structurally good. It appears that someone has stripped the top, it is kind of splotchy in areas. The top is made of solid oak so it would look great if it were sanded down and finished, alternatively this table would be a great candidate for a painted finish. Exquisite antique Louis XV marble top commode. The sides and front have been inlaid with beautiful geometric parquetry that sets off the beautiful curved shape of the commode. The corners and feet are accented with ornate metal decorations that match the dramatic drawer pulls and key surrounds. The drawers are have been constructed with sturdy dovetail joints and the piece also has a paneled back. This timeless piece most likely dates from the 19th or early 20th century. 1820 SHERATON/HEPPLEWHITE 4 DRAWER CHEST
This auction features a nice vintage chest of drawers. It is solid cherry,I think this dates from 1820 or a little earlier, it has a Sheraton era look, but the feet remind you of Hepplewhite feet, the casters are wooden and original, the sides are paneled, I don't think the pulls are original, the holes are not changed I'm missing a few of the pulls, but they were definitely a 2 hole pull, it is 40 inches wide, 20 inches deep and 43 inches high, there is definitely wear, there are some old wear on the right back edge about 2 inch long wood loss and finish look around the pulls, it gas 4 wonderful graduated drawers, and hand dovetailed( see photo) it has a great country look but the feet make a little more formal. Richly figured mahogany with matched flame or crotch grain panels. The deep satiny finish is in excellent condition with a few mars at the edges for antique character. Hand carved by a master. There are rope moldings and fine details. Drawers have hand cut dovetail joinery and chamfered bottoms, there are hand planing marks. The solid mahogany top has been rebuilt. Sheraton Federal vanity lowboy dressing table c.1810
This is a vintage vanity aka lowboy dressing table or dresser with a beveled glass mirror attached. I'm not an antique expert by any stretch. But when I saw the hand cut dovetails, I knew this was an old piece. After seeing that I did a bit of research. From that, I think this is Sheraton style dressing table. It could be Federal, but the brass hardware, which appears to be original, looks more like Sheraton. From what I've read, Sheraton and Federal styles of furniture were produced up to about 1820. Attaching mirrors to the top of dressing tables started around 1800. Hence my c.1810 guess at the age. Other indicators of its age are the hand cut dovetails, which put it earlier than 1880; and use of single wide boards, which put it earlier than 1860. Most everything, including the hardware, looks pretty original to me. It is mounted ... moreon small casters, which I don't know to be original. The top does have a crack on one side near the rear. I've been told the wood looks like walnut. I don't know if it's walnut, but it is a hardwood for sure. The piece is 42" wide x 19" deep. The top sits 30" off the floor and it's 60" tall overall. I listed this for local pick-up only. If you want arrange for shipping it via motor freight. I'll work with you. Just keep in mind that I've never done this before.

A large antique American Empire/ Late Classicism mahogany dresser. Circa 1870. Past down by decent in the same French Canadian family and then through marriage to Norwegian American relatives in the 1920's. Made from beautifully grained mahogany veneer over poplar and birch secondary wood and always kept indoors. There is absolutely no fading of the rich wood colors. It is approximately 34 1/2 inches high, 24 inches deep, and 48 inches wide, and is in excellent overall condition with the original finish intact. I will give it a dusting and a coat of paste wax and it will be ready to enjoy for another 100 years. Due to the size of this dresser I would prefer that it be picked up. If the buyer desires I will also personally deliver within about 100 miles for the cost of gas. This piece is quite old and appears to be at least early 19th century and possibly earlier. Many of the drawers appear to be made from pieces of wooden antique cigar boxes. Original brass hardware and castors. Dimensions: 76&1/2 inches to top of crest. 54&1/2 wide, 23&1/2 deep. Please note what appears to be a cigarette burn on edge of dresser top(next to last pic. Also, there is slight streaking in mirror. Hardly noticable(in my opinion) Stamped on the back of the dresser is a large#5705. antique Shaker style dresser
This is a very beautiful old piece and does not appear to have had any glue used when made. Some of the joints are lose. As I have read that it has more value if left alone. I have not made any repairs. This is Shaker style- but as I believe, it was made in the midwest so it cannot be called pure Shaker. This piece was passed along through families and was never in an antique shop or sold. It has a beautiful, rich deep color. There are a few water marks on the top and one of the knobs is damaged, but I have seen replacement knobs for shaker furniture. The back and part of the drawers were made of rough scrap like wood.
