The desk has a large carved design on the front of the fall front desk top and opens to reveal pigeon holes. Slots and two small drawers within the desk itself. The fall front provides a large writing surface. The desk portion sits over a full width single drawer with two half width drawers and a cupboard base w/ door underneath. All drawer fronts have applied rectangular panels with walnut burl veneer covering the entire panels. Drawers have wonderful molded and stamped brass drawer pulls and back plates and all drawers, doors and fall front have keyholes with matching escutcheons and keys. All indications are this is the original finish on the secretary with only the inside fall front being refinished to match the rest of the desk. For your consideration, this fabulous and very impressive Tall Victorian Rococo Flame Mahogany Secretary with Arched Bookcase ... moreTop(Circa: 1860) This gorgeous two-piece Secretary weighs approximately 170 pounds and measures 102 ½” in total height(from the floor to the arched top of the crown) 44 ¼” in width, and 20 ½” in depth. The three adjustable shelves each measure 9” in depth and 41 ¼” in width. This is truly one of the most beautiful Victorian Secretaries of its kind that we have had the privilege to offer. You will notice that there is some faint writing on the back of the piece(see the e-Bay photo) that probably indicates either the maker or the person for whom the piece was made. From what we can see it is signed M. Hall, Hannibal, MO. The details on this Secretary are absolutely wonderful! This beautiful Secretary is constructed of mahogany. And flame mahogany over a secondary wood and the details are exquisite! The bookcase top is graced with a beautiful open arch top with a lovely center foliate carved pedestal that is surrounded on each side with elegant applied scroll land leaf adornments. The bookcase top doors have wavy glass that appears to be original. And three adjustable shelves. The doors have arched tops with picture frame moulding around the original glass and carved foliate escutcheons. The right door has an intact lock and a decorative(non-working) key is included to assist in opening the doors. Also. You will note that there is a small, insignificant scratch on glass in the lower corner of the right door which in no way impacts the beauty or integrity of the original wavy glass. The bottom slant front desk door of the Secretary is graced with luscious flame mahogany veneer, has a fancy brass key escutcheon along with an intact lock with working key. Small Chest or Child's Dresser W/ AMAZING Victorian Decoupage Folk Art Die Cut
Offered here is an amazing. One-of-a-kind small chest of drawers or child's dresser that has been covered with Victorian decoupage of various die cut printed pieces of advertising, greeting cards, etc. I have seen a lot of antiques, and looked on the internet for similar pieces, but I can't find anything comparable to this. This is a great handmade folk art piece that would be the highlight of any room. Despite it's petite size. A great decorator piece to put on top of another chest or table, use as a side table or night stand, put at the end of a hall, etc. Yes. This is covered with hundreds, if not thousands, of small colorful pieces of paper. I've tried to show this in the photos, particularly in the one of the top with the glancing light, and on another the edges of the drawer. Chest measures 22 1/2" wide. 21 3/4" ... moretall, and 12 1/2" deep overall. The basic case is about 21" x 21" x 12" with the top extending on the sides and front, and the small scalloped backsplash adding a bit to the depth. The chest is constructed out of pine. Including the drawer bottoms, and has nicely paneled sides. There is lovely, period paper lining the drawers. The back of the dresser was covered by some previous owner with a piece of masonite and is a newer addition. Please see all the photos. It has the classic Yoke-Stand and Framed Beveled Mirror with prominent carved appointments, all in the original natural oak wood. It is a Four-drawer dresser, and the top bank of drawers are the classical double-bow-front. This Dresser is well over 100 years old. And its construction is truly frontier-old school, and features absolutely ZERO plywood or particleboard. It is all SOLID Oak Wood, and the only'veneer' is the facing on the Bow-Front Drawers. The floriated carving details are also solid oak, and were applied with'brad&glue' The Mirror Glass is original and beveled. It is starting to show a few minor age spots in the silvering. This Dresser measures 42" wide. X 20" deep, counter height of 33.5" with NO casters, or ... more34.75" WITH original wood-wheel casters. With mirror& stand, it is 70" 71.25" tall. 1800s Antique Beveled Wall Mirror
This antique mirror was purchased over thirty five years ago in an Iowa farm auction. I believe the wood is oak. At the time it was painted over in white but removed once we knew how beautiful it was underneath. It's mirror is beveled, and shows the sign of age, bringing out the charm. It measures 30 1/2" tall and 22 1/4" wide.

This beautiful dresser has the original beveled mirrors intact. No cracks. Center mirror swivels vertically. It is believed that the drawer hardware is original. It does not appear that it was ever refinished and therefore has a lovely patina. There are some scratches, slight warpage and imperfections on the top surface consistent with the age of the item. Sometimes the drawers can be a little balky sliding them in and out. I bought this 36 years ago and at the time the maker's name and'1896' was faintly handwritten on the back. Antique collector Scottish Flamed Mahogany Chest. This is an impressive mid 1800 Victorian Scottish Flamed Mahogany Chest of Drawers with a large flared cornice top with convex molded contour front. One rare and unique characteristic of this superb Victorian Mahogany Scotch Chest of Drawers is the hidden alcove. The cornice top folds over to reveal a deep and large unique secret compartment for storage. There are five long graduating drawers with original turned mahogany knob handles with Mother of Pearl insets in the center. The chest features incredible precise hand cut dovetail joints on all four corners of each drawer. The drawers also feature hand shaved(chamfered) drawer bottoms. Beneath the bottom drawer is a sturdy base with large elegant turned legs. Antique dresser modified to become a bathroom vanity. Has single sink. Backs of the drawers have been modified for plumbing but the rest of the drawers are original. Beautiful wood grain throughout. Dresser is at least 50+ years old. Size is 52" wide by 23" deep. Small cut out on the back bottom side for plumbing access. Handles and drawer pulls are NOT original. Faucets on the sink are included but are not in good condition and should be replaced. Dresser top and fronts are in good condition. Old Sheraton Style Farmhouse Washstand - early 1800s?
Here is an old antique washstand for sale. It is a country Sheraton style. It is made of pine and I think poplar. It might be handmade. The towel bars have residual paint. The drawers have an interesting scalloped dovetail with pegs. It is in good condition. It does have a few marks, nothing major. Considering the age, it's in good structural shape, but there is a crack in the backsplash and the towel bars are a little loose. It has two drawers and a bottom section with a door to store towels or linens. It measures 30 inches high. 33.5 wide and 17 deep. Local pick up only. Or if agreed with seller the buyer can arrange for a shipper at their expense. Once piece is inspected and sold there are no returns when item leaves premises.

Antique Dutch Marquetry three panel barley twist shaving mirror 19th
This three panel shaving mirror has outside panels that are removeable. The drawers are inlaid in the marquetry style with exotic woods. The central portion of the mirror is 26 ¾ inches wide. When the side panels are included it is 47 ¼ inches wide. The central mirror including the base is 37 ¾ inches high. The edges of all of the mirrors are beveled. The posts where the outside mirrors attach are barley twist. The storage portion at the bottom with the drawers is serpentine in shape. The drawers are dovetailed. The piece is in very good condition. It dates circa 1870. There are a couple of splits in the wood on the back of the large mirror.

2 piece victorian ? cabinet dresser on a drawer
I put victorian? Because I dont know. Could be older? This is very old handmade furniture. You may be better at dating it. You may even know who made it. If you have any questions just ask. Wish I could add more pictures. Anyone know how I can put more or where? Two doors and Three drawers on top. 1 drawer on base. Base is 15 inches high 27 inches wide 18 and three quarter inches deep The top is 37 three quarters inches tall 26 and a half inches wide 19 to 20 inches deep cabinet space is 25 inches wide by 10 inches tall by 17 inches deep. Top veneer peeled and missing also cracked where board connected under to make one big board front of doors veneer is cracked where boards were used to make the doors. Some of the drawers not in perfect condition. Just loose and couple chips off inside back. They all open and close. I do not have a key for ... morelocks. Bottom drawer lock is there but somebody put wood putty in front. Right drawer pull of base handle part is not original not same as the rest. Front carvings on doors not a mirror image hand-made. Writing on inside of board looks like old style handwriting. Cannot make out. Will try to see what it says. There is about a 1" × 1" hole in back of cabinet. One of the bun feet on base is missing. Someone sanded and srained right side of top part. Slats of back are loose. Will slide if you lift straight up. Very cool old piece. Oldest anything ive ever owned. TIGER MAPLE CHEST of DRAWERS ---- CHILD'S SIZE !!!!!!
Child's size tiger maple dresser. This is a keeper! Not a miniature! Very special maple with great figure as you should be able to see in the photos. This is the second of two dressers. I used the same photos from the first chest of the drawer and back. There is no difference. 4 graduated drawers. Mitered top molding. Mitered bottom molding. Nicely shaped bracket feet. The drawers are made of poplar and the back is cherry. This is HAND MADE and new. I never use pine. Only hardwoods even for drawer bottoms or backs. American made solid brass knobs. This has a glass smooth hand rubbed finish to a satin sheen. I get better detail in natural light but it does make the dresser look a shade lighter and brighter. You will not see chips and tears in the wood. DIMENSIONS: 18 1/2" wide. 17 3/4" tall and 9 1/8" deep. Thanks!

Scottish Flamed Mahogany Chest. This is an impressive 1840's Victorian Scottish Flamed Mahogany Chest of Drawers with a large flared cornice top with convex molded contour front. One rare and unique characteristic of this superb Victorian Mahogany Scotch Chest of Drawers is the hidden alcove. The cornice top folds over to reveal a deep and large unique secret compartment for storage. There are five long graduating drawers with original turned mahogany knob handles with Mother of Pearl insets in the center. The chest features incredible precise hand cut dovetail joints on all four corners of each drawer. The drawers also feature hand shaved(chamfered) drawer bottoms. Beneath the bottom drawer is a sturdy base with large elegant turned legs. This is an Antique Late 1800's Victorian Natural Tone Oak Dresser with Original Brass Drawer Pulls and Key Locks/ Hardware. 44.5 inches wide x 33 inches tall x 19.5 inches deep. Has 4 dovetail drawers and metal caster wheels. Key to the locks is unavailable. The lower drawer bottom has been replaced. All drawers are opening and closing properly. Item is structurally sound for it's age. Caster wheels are all rolling. Top back right corner has a slight warp on the tabletop with separation and a small crack. Shouldn't be a problem for most. It's not noticeable when standing against a wall. Item was lightly sanded and clear varnished in the mid 1970's. Small top drawers are 18 inches wide x 5.5" tall. 1800's Walnut Tilting Shaving Mirror for Top Of Dresser
Here is a very early 1800's wooden shaving mirror. It is tiltable. I think the wood is walnut. Kind of looks like burled walnut on the mirror. The glass is in good shape. May have a little play in the mirror frame holding the glass. Could be removed and made tighter but it's not going to fall out. The frame does have a few places where the wood cracked over the year and has been glued back in place. One small piece of veneer missing on the side and its about an inch long half inch wide. Not noticeable since it's on the side. There is one small spot on the top of the mirror frame where it looks like the wood started to splinter and its been patched with some putty at one time. Very nice turned spindles holding the mirror. Antique Cherry Sheraton Chest Southern Ohio Anna Pottery C E Kirkpatrick owned
A very unusual large and fancy Bonnet style chest. Circa 1820-1840. Cherry solids& veneers with poplar secondary woods. Has older label on back. That says it was brought to Anna Ill. Union Co, 1859, by C.E Kirkpatrick, ex. mayor of Anna. This label apparently was written in 1939. It is hard to make out the pencil writing, partially reads"recondition April 1939 by Headrick Bros. woodcraft shop, 421 N Sprigg st Cape Girardeau, MO. Girardeau MO. is only about 26 miles from Anna Ill. Cornwall Kirkpatrick was in the pottery business in Anna with his brother. Today Anna pottery is highly collectable. The Kirkpatrick brothers were originally from Ohio. No other provenance. A neat label with some history. 4 smaller drawers over 3 bow front drawers. All the drawers are hand cut dovetails. Solid poplar drawer sides and bottoms. Wooden pulls ... moreI believe to have been replaced. Inside was 1 remnant sandwich glass style knob. Picture# 4 shows underneath of case, lower left hand side leg is out of slot. All the legs are loose like this, not broken, just dry glue. Also this picture shows bottom back strip of wood as ply-wood. Obviously a replacement. Top of dresser has spindle gallery, Spindles and top board are cherry. Top has a couple plugged areas, possibly to cover knots in wood. Picture# 9 shows close-up of column side, this column has a small repair. Picture# 11 shows 1 bowed drawer with bottom slide repair. This is the worst drawer, others are fair. Last picture shows inside case, some questionable boards to upper inside. They appear to have been replaced. This will need some TLC, shows its age and old refinish. Measures approx. 53 1/2" tall plus an additional 3" for gallery. 26" deep at top X 44 1/4" widest. 1 small drawer plus 1 bow drawer missing lock. Missing some larger areas of veneer.
