Beautiful 1955 Vintage Antique LANE CEDAR Chest/Trunk with drawer Good overall condition. With minor scratches on the sides of the chest, and there is a stain in the bottom drawer(as pictured) Please note. Due to ebay's requirement, I removed the original lock for this listing, as"Lane Cedar Chests manufactured from 1912 to 1987 need to have their locks replaced. This was due to the fact that it can't be opened from the inside, which is unsafe. Although I still have the original lock and keys. LARGE VINTAGE CEDAR CHEST#3510 This wonderful Cedar Chest is made out of w ood. Solid wood. And solid Cedar wood, and it can be used as a chest or as a coffee table. This classic Chest is in good original condition. And it has a medium/dark red/brown stain finish color on the outside. See pictures. This gorgeous Cedar Chest has interes ting steel/m etal hi nges and riveting on the outside. And it has a s teel/metal lock on the front, see pictures. This Chest is finished all the way around. See pictures, so it can be displayed in the center of the room. This Chest is secure and sturdy with some small scratches here and there proper with its age and its wear& tear. See pictures. There are some minor touch-ups on the top and on the front of the Chest, and there are some minor imperfections on the metal hinges. See pictures. Harold Longmire born 1911 San Francisco Ca. Restoration. Trunk had wood rot on bottom. Only the bottom had to be replaced as it was falling apart. The trunk was cleaned with a little water and cloth. It measures approximately 31" x 16" deep x 12" tall inches. Has Railway Form still attached to top from a soldier shipping the trunk home to Orlando from an Army base in Georgia. Dated 1945. Huge Early Antique Dovetailed Trunk/ Chest
WELCOME TO LIGHTHOUSE LIMITED! We are pleased to bring you this wonderful early brass banded dovetail trunk/ chest. It is equipped with a antique industrial chest lock. No key. All sides except for the bottom and one side. Was constructed from 1 solid piece of wood. There is a 3/4 inch wood trim surrounding the lid secured by a metal band and flat head screws. The top measures 46" X 28" The sides are dovetailed together and measure 44-1/2" X 27-1/2" The base is trimmed out in a molding style design and it measures 46-1/2" X 29-1/2" It stands 33-3/4 inches tall. It rests on very early casters which resemble railroad wheels. The interior was stripped of the shelving but could easily could be reconstructed if you choose. The straps would have buckled at the opening. You can see the leather strap retainers that are still in place. If you want, you can have someone who works leather to make these belt-like straps for you. The top is studded. This is quite unusual in that I've never seen it before myself. It no doubt gave the top some protection from other trunks that would have been stacked on top. I think it is quite a good look. The hardware on the front. Specifically the latches are quite ornate and show that this trunk was made back toward the Victorian era when everything was onamental in design. I figure this trunk was made in the early part of the 20th century and spent a lot of time on railroads and maybe steam ships(the labels certainly bear out the railroad part) Notice the heavy use of studded rivets all along the corner protectors. This shows the quality of the trunk and like the studded top. Improves the overall look. The lock was made by Eagle Lock(see condition note below) I suspect from this that the trunk is American in origin(no makers mark was found on it) Underneath a

Rare antique Roos Manufacturing wicker and wood chest
Local Pick Up Only! The"Roos Manufacturing Co. of Chicago was established in 1871 by Edward Roos(born in Germany in December 1848) Died in 1906. He had several children including Otto(born 1877) and Edward(born 1880) Otto took over the Roos Manufacturing Company when his father died in 1906. They did manufacture cedar chests, but it is unclear when they started. The business began making curtain rods and later wooden boxes. quoted from the Chicago antiques guide website) This trunk is unusual in that is is from the turn of the 19th century and is made of rattan with the inside lined with wood. I have not seen another like it. It is in terrific shape. c1914 Authentic Louis Vuitton Steamer Trunk, All Original, Labels, One Family
This is a true vintage authentic Louis Vuitton trunk. It has been in my friend's attic since 1925 and before that was used by her mother"E. L. M. before she was married. The trunk has the initials of her maiden name on one end overprinted by the stenciled"MV" for her last name after she married. My friend is 86 years old. There are shipping labels on the trunk from travel about 100 years ago. This is a complete steamer trunk with the fittings that allowed it to be used as a closet on a cruise liner or in a luxury hotel. The trunk has four casters on the base and is missing one caster on the end that swings open when it is used as a closet. It has original hangers on the rack on one side and bins for shoes and underthings on the other side. The top bin contains a shoe brush and cloth and a vintage tag for shoe repair. It ... morealso has a muslin laundry bag. It shows the appropriate scuffs from use. It is marked lavishly with Louis Vuitton tags. As well as the logo on the outside. There is the serial number"040783, Made in France" on the lock and the serial number 192713 inside the suitcase. It is clean and does not have any smells or damage other than the missing caster. It is 43& 1/4" long, 21& 3/4" deep and 21& 3/4" tall. Shipping costs will be determined once the trunk has been purchased. It is about 90 pounds and very large so will need specialty shipping. I am including $400 for shipping within the United States but that is only an estimate. The last Louis Vuitton trunk that I sold on the internet was sent to The Netherlands. These two chests were brought from over seas by my Grandpa in the early 1940's. He obtained them while in the Army. Both chests have the original locks that came with them. There are a few areas that need repaired. The latches on both boxes have damage and the bottom of the larger box has shrunk and has a crack. On the larger box. Here we have an incredible hunter green wardrobe trunk made by the Dread-Naught Luggage Company of Petersberg. Virginia around the 1930's. The interior has been completely recovered in a stunning ivory/ cream satin fabric. It has a locking mechanism for the drawers in addition to the exterior lock and the keys are included for both. The exterior has the wear and tear you would expect for its age and the leather handle is worn and torn as well, all of which add to its antique character. The top latch is off, but we have it; someone who is handy could probably easily re-attach it. The lower latch and lock keep it securely closed without it. It measures 42" high, 21 1/2" deep and 22 1/2" wide(10 1/2" for the hanging side and 12"for the drawer side) It would be great for storage, coffee table and/or addition to a ... moresteampunk décor. VINTAGE INLAID ITALIAN WOODEN CIGARETTE CASE/MUSIC JEWELLERY BOX 50'S
13.5 cms by 10cms and 4 cms deep approx. This box has cracking to the varnish and cracking to the inlay. It is sadly missing a foot. However apart from a small part of the inlay that is missing from the bottom left corner. This is a pretty probably swiss italian musical box in working order. The interior is clean with 8.5 cms by 8cms for your cigarettes or jewellery and the rest of the box houses the movement. I cannot place the tune. It sounds like'it's a small world after all' but it is not! Despite the wear and tear the inlay is pretty and the movement works well. This is a upright Steamer Trunk by"Seward Trunk and Bag Company" The plaque says"Wonderrobe" Estimated that it was made during the 1920"s or 1930's. The original trunk color was olive green but has changed over the years to a soft brown. It has all of its accessories including the hat form that snaps in and out to hold a fashion hat in place which was a bonus during it's day. There are six hanging racks. Two for dresses. Two for coats and two for slacks. They are held in place by a stabilizer bar. The bottom of the left side of the trunk has a pop out drawer. The top drawer is sectioned and has the lock but no key. The top of the trunk lifts to allow easy access to the racks. See photo#5. Two of the drawers have the tie down straps to hold clothing in place. The lock is missing as well as the leather handle. ... moreAll of the metal(brass? edges are in excellent shape. No dents. No missing bullets and it has all of its corner pieces. Most of these trunks are missing the leather handle but I do have the handle which is not attached. All of the hardware is in good condition not rusted or broken. The main lock is missing. The only damage is to the top which is cracked mostly on the edge which lifts up. see photo#8) The fabric on the drawers shows some wear but just to the right edges. See photo#1. For your information I received this trunk from the woman we bought our first house from 38 years ago. She told us that her husband traveled across the ocean with all his belongings in this trunk. Up for your consideration is a rare antique Hardy valise. Steamer trunk This is a super Rare antique STEAMER TRUNK. ALL ORIGINAL made by HARDY LEATHER CRAFTSMAN, European made. I have tried to research HARDY CRAFTSMAN and can't find much. Seems to have been a British Co that was know for super quality leather work. Not so much in trunks though. I had a couple Trunk" experts" tell me this is a trunk made in the same style as the famous LOUIS VUITTON trunks. And was probably from around the turn of the century( 1900) or early 1900's It has a pull down drawer that I have taken pics of. It includes 2 original wooded hangers. All of the trim is brass colored which does have scratches. The Brass tone Latch/ Lock is is in working order. I have no key. Condition: Overall very solid and great for display standing upright as we used ... moreit. Or setting down as the previous owner had it. The condition is good. The interior is very good. All snaps are present and work. There are no rips or tears. All pieces appear to be present. The exterior could use a good cleaning although the fact that it is not cleaned is what creates its absolutely wonderful patina. It is missing the handle but all buckles and latches are present and they work. It does retain its original makers tag. Few places there are some dings. And some of the fabric has minor discoloration as could be expected for its age, but overall still very good. Don't pass up on this one. It is a very Rare item. This wonderful storage cabinet was made in Amercia about 1900 of solid oak with a pine top. It shows the pin pricks in the pine top from maps being pinned down for study. It is 2 sections for moving- top and bottom. It is finished and attractively panelled on all sides- including the back. This cabinet is very solid and sturdy and the finish is in excellent condition in a warm golden brown color. The hardware is cast brass. It is 6 feet long by 41 1/2" and 37" tall. The inside of the 5 big map drawers is 51 1/2" wide by 36" by 3 1/2" deep. The 5 small drawers are 36" front to back to hold rolled maps and charts. LOCAL PICKUP ONLY. The back is finished. So it does not need to go against a wall. Obviously the drawers can be removed to transport. VINTAGE CORBIN SUITCASE LEATHER 1920-1930'S
This suitcase is part of my fathers estate. It is a Corbin and made out of 100% leather. Everything works and is intact except for one strap holder that broke(see picture) All of the inside straps are intact and work well. The two push down latches on the outside work well and the locking latch works but will not pop up on it's own. You have to lift it with your fingers. My dad told stories about carrying this suitcase in the Montana area during the Prohibition Days which would date it in the mid 1920's through early 1930's. I have kept it all these years but it just sits in a closet so I am hoping someone who collects suitcases would like it or it could be displayed in a old home somewhere. He said it was from WW1 era, I can not confirm. It is painted with a wood effect and is beautifully aged in a Shabby chic way. The inside is blue. These 3 marble white faux leather on wood Samsonite Streamlite suitcases and trunk are in great shape from the 1950's and 1960’s! RARE TRUNK! These trunks are very hard to find. THrough research I have found that a lot of these were just made for display and very few were made. The largest trunk measures roughly_L" x_W" x_H” The carry-on/wardrobe measures roughly_L" x_W" x_H” The smaller train/make-up case measures close to_L" x_W" x_H" You can see from the pics the color of the exterior and interiors as well as the various pouches and straps. These are all Samsonite and there is a key for the entire set. Dimensions and further description to come. These cases could be used for a number of things besides luggage. A very popular use is for camera equipment or speciality tools. By installing foam packaging ... moreand cutting it to fit your camera or tools is a stylish and less expensive way to protect and transport. These type of cases can also be used for decor such as end tables. Shipping includes insurance and a delivery confirmation. Delivery confirmation is not a tracking number. It is there to prove delivery. I usually ship suitcases by wrapping in shipping paper and taping. This cuts costs by not using boxes. These cases are sold as is. I will do my best to describe them as well as any imperfections and wear. These cases all have minor scuffs and wear on the inside and the outside.
