130-160 million years old ~ nice collection of 5 x Cheltonia Accipitris Ammonite fossils. These Cheltonian Accipitris ammonites come from the jurassic lower lias sinemurian stage. Found in the oxynotum zone in Gloucester. The site is virtually picked out now so they are becoming scarcer to find and fewer specimins coming to light. All have some colourful shine from the golden iron pyrites they were preserved in. They look brighter due to camera flash than in normal light but I have not polished these and they will buff up. In v arying conditions as shown but they are from the age of dinasaurs!

On day 1 you will learn how to extract copper from Malachite. Then create a furnace and crucible so you can hold and pour Bronze at 1200 Degees. This will reward you with a magical item just as things were 3500 years ago. On day 2 we slightly alter the technique to arrive at a more stable and certain outcome. The site these specimens were excavated from is only approximately acre in size and is now closed and protected by the government. These rare artifacts were legally collected with the landowner's permission decades ago before the area was sealed. Fontmaure is one of Europe's most famous Neanderthal sites and the fact that this tiny primitive is off-limits to any collecting. Makes these wonderful stone tool artifacts exceedingly rare and desirable! It is theorized that the Neanderthals highly valued the spectacular glowing colored gem, jasper, that is uniquely found at Fontmaure. It is possible that material like this was traded, considered prestigious to own and even fought over. Somewhat similar in appearance but smaller to the Keich. This prehistoric marine reptile is neither common nor faked. This reptile is the Sinohydrosaurus. The name translates into SINO(China) HYDRO(water) SAURUS(lizard) Even when compared to a genuine Keich, the Sinohyrdosaurus is far more rare. This seldom seen creature is part of the Jehol Biota Group and was found in the Yixian Formation between the Liaoning Province and Inner Mongolia. The Jehol Biota Group ranges from the Late Jurassic to the Early Cretaceous and is famous for the several species of bird ... morefossils and dinosaurs found with primitive feathers.
