Which was the authenticity stamp used from 1913-1925. The measurements are:51.25"X 34.0"X 17.75" It was part of my Great Grandmother's bedroom set and has been an item of interest and intrigue by all who appreciate QUALITY HOME DECOR ANTIQUITIES. Handmade Eastlake Style Drop Well Dresser with Mirror in Pine- very early 1900s?
For sale is an Eastlake Style drop well Dresser with a Mirror. It is handmade and I would guess it is from the turn of the century-early 1900s. It is made of Pine. And probably is from Upstate NY or Long Island. I bought it at a local Antique Auction here on Eastern Long Island. It stands 6 ft high at the tallest part. 43 inches wide and 21 inches deep. It has original period hardware and the drawers are put together with dowels-see 5th and 6th pictures. It is in excellent shape considering its age and that it is handmade. There are a few nick and dings, expected from an Antique, but nothing structural or major. The only flaw is the top of the drop well section has a few stains-see last picture. This piece is very unique not only because it is handmade but also because mass produced Eastlake pieces were usually made of Oak. Not pine. An appraiser has determined that this vanity suite is American in origin and dates to around 1940. It belonged to a woman born around 1895. Her granddaughter says her grandmother got ready at it every morning. Astonishingly the two light sockets are in perfect working order. There are no rips or tears in the bench covering. This is a beautiful piece. But it does have some damage. Missing a piece on the back left foot, so it will not sit straight unless it's up against a wall. Crack in the body of the piece. Left side. Crack in left side of drawer. Front of same drawer is missing a piece in the lower left corner. Also. There is a water ring on the top surface and several small nicks in the surface. There is a big wedge-shaped crack in the crown of the decorative woodwork. pics 2 and 3) 28" high. 13" wide, 6" deep. Looks like pine or other blond wood. A very fine antique. Circa 1920's, Chippendale style solid mahogany chest of drawers. The case is on four claw and webbed feet on bun. The case front corners are column fluted. The drawers are solid mahogany fronts, sides, and backs, the bottoms of maple(there is sticky contact paper that needs removing from the drawers. All original brass pulls with patina. The chest is in the original rich red finish, the top boards are with very fine tiny scratches, no ring spots. The side boards are also solid mahogany. Scratch to one drawer front needs Old English. Chest measures 36-1/2" tall by 39" wide by 19-1/2" deep.

It has a lovely bow front shape and four spacious drawers for storage. Recently French polished in England it is in excellent shape today. The wood used on this beautiful antique chest of drawers is a really good looking selection of mahogany. It has a warm. Vibrant color that is sure to enhance any room you use it in. Nicely complimenting ... morethe mahogany are eight new brass pulls. These pulls are quite attractive and add a little pizazz to the chest! When it was originally made. This chest of drawers was made using time honored techniques. One of these techniques is hand cutting dovetails to fit the drawers together. A dovetailed joint is stronger than any other and will ensure the drawers function and stay strong for many years. All four of the drawers open and close easily on wooden runners. A little difficult to see in the images, but the top drawer does have a wooden divider right in the center, effectively making the top drawer into two sections on the inside. We have rated this chest as excellent condition. Because of the recent French polish in England it is in excellent condition. The wood does have old indents here and there that is has acquired over its lifetime that add charm and character to the chest. It is in excellent condition with great curves, brass mounts, and veneer of exotic woods in a stunning diamond shaped pattern. The joints of the drawers are hand-dovetailed. It is topped off with a nicely grained green and white marble, cut so that the grain runs on a diagonal. There is a tiny spot of veneer missing under the lip of one of the drawers and a small fracture of the veneer in the crook of the right front leg as shown in the photos. It measures 29 1/2" tall while the top is 36 1/2 x 21 3/4" It was bench made from antique elements likely sometime in the 1930's. When I say antique elements. I mean it appears to be made mostly from either much older lumber and or elements from much older pieces such as drawer bottoms, sides, etc. I'm basing the date of manufacture from the hardware which looks 1930's. It is expertly crafted to mimic the really nice carved Chippendale dressing table, circa 1770. Right down to it's pegged case the skill and attention to detail is very evident. It retains a nice old mellow finish and color that will make anyone stop and make sure they aren't looking at a revolutionary era treasure. The bottom 2 drawers are 28" wide x 15-1/2" deep x 4-1/2" high and 28" wide x 15-1/2" deep x 9" high. There are some cracks. Chips,and some scratches in the veneer on the top as shown; there are also cracks on the top under the veneer where the laminated maple base shrunk. There are small cracks and some minor waviness on the right hand side laminate. Bottom of front leg has a piece missing(like that when we acquired it. There is applied decorative pieces and brass hardware. The legs have wood casters. She also had a bird's eye dressing table/vanity with chair that went with this. It is also listed. Beautiful antique oak Victorian commode or dresser with a top serpentine drawers and spacious cabinet space below. Overhanging molded top with a decorative carved backsplash. The back and sides of this piece are paneled and there are elegant brass pulls on the drawer and cabinet doors. Two cabriole shaped feet in the front and straight feet in the back end at simple casters. This classic piece most likely dates from the late 19th or early 20th century.
