Tea Table features nice deep color and grain pattern. With a scalloped skirt resting on four cabriole legs with slight carving to knees, with protective hard rubber foot terminal ending. There are no candle slides on this model. Construction is rock solid steady with stamped markings underneath, but no maker name, could be any one of several small factories making colonial reproductions of good quality well before the internet and big box store days. Glue blocks on corners undererneath are nice and sound. This is all solid wood, not a cheap chip board foreign mahogany lookalike with sprayed laquer finish that looks garish in person! Condition Report: Slight rub mark to leg as shown. Small burn mark on top. General wear and tear of a used piece. But not abuse; I will clean it up before pickup as I do with all my dealer furniture to presentation quality ready for your home. The ... morestyle is from the 1830- 1840 period and that's when I believe this was made. There is a signature written in ink on the underside of the top. But it is very difficult to decipher(see photo below) I think the small circular inset in the table top might be a deliberate example of the maker's skill rather than a later repair, but it could be to"mend" a flaw in the wood I guess. There are several closed age related cracks to the top surface and some light scratches commensurate with its age, also a small black indentation, but they are not disfiguring and show in the photographs. With table tilted height is approx 8.70 inches, with table top flat, height is approx 5 inches and diameter is approx 7 inches. Made in England, Victorian era, Circa 1890, Mahogany, Hidden drawer, Carved leg, Dovetailed drawer, Some normal wear to top, Age splits and old repairs to apron, A wonderful antique specimen from England around 1890. This hall table was probably once used as a washstand. But today would function perfectly in a foyer, entryway, hallway, or stairwell. The mahogany has a particularly nice patina to it that can only come with age. The piece features a hidden drawer in the middle for a little bit of storage room. The nicely carved front leg gives the table some pizazz while the clean lines of the piece don't over do it. The drawer is dovetailed, a sign of high quality craftsmanship. There are a few age splits and old repairs in the apron shown in the photos. These are purely cosmetic phenomenon and do not affect the structural integrity of the piece. The top also shows wear marks consistent with age and has a faded ring to the right side. Overall the table is quite sturdy and would make a wonderful addition to any home. The top is a beautiful patinated mahogany. It is in good condition. You can see the slight ring to the right side. The top does show signs of wear consistent with age in the form of tiny dings all over the surface some of which can be seen here. The wonderfully carved leg is supportive and good looking. The hidden drawer pulls out to reveal some storage space. The drawer is dovetailed. A sign of high quality craftsmanship. Both sides have similar slight age separations and repairs on the apron. English 1840 Antique Mahogany Small Chest or Console. This small chest or console was expertly reduced in size about 100 years ago from a larger chest or dresser. Originally hand made about 1840 in England. Mahogany wood is beautifully figured. The top is cut from a single shimmering plank. Drawers have hand dovetailed solid oak sides and later brass pulls are from about 1890. The old finish is very fine with warm antique patina and has been waxed and polished. So only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth is needed to maintain the glowing luster. Size is 41" long. 12 1/2" deep and 26 1/2" tall. From antiques estate! seems to be mahogany, a nice dark wood, with nice patina brass drawer knobs and swivel hardware for the mirror. so much detail work in the carving of the reeded cheval brace topped with the beautiful pineapple finials. Click on photos for close up view! There is a slight overall haze in the mirror's silvering, commensurates with the true turn of century glass mirrors. This is about 18 inches tall x 19 inches wide x 12 inches deep. A couple very minor knicks and a burnt burl spot on the flat surface-see photos. Beautiful wood. this appears to have been gently used. A very fine antique. Circa 1830's, Empire style solid and flame veneered mahogany tall chest of drawers. There are two bowed drawers over five graduated drawers. All retain their locks, five brass key holes(two brass missing) and twelve original brass bail pulls. The case is on front carved claw feet supporting tapered full found pillars having flame mahogany veneer, with carved capitols, and squared carved rosettes above. The drawer fronts are butterflied flame mahogany veneers, the drawer interiors in maple. The drawer undersides are chamfered. The solid mahogany case sides have recessed mahogany panels. Chest measures 58-1/4" tall by 45" wide by 24" deep. Excellent condition: original finish, some chipping to claw feet, minor veneer chips at top edge of two long drawers. A most unusual antique. Circa 1840's, Empire period flame mahogany veneered and solid mahogany man's petite dresser. Lifting up and back of the top exposes a gray veined white marble surround, the underside of lid with the original very wavy mirror. The case holds four drawers with butterflied flame mahogany veneer fronts, the drawer interiors in oak. The case is on casters. The dresser measures 37-1/2" tall by 28" wide by 16" deep. Very good plus condition: damage is a horizontal crack to board and veneer across the top board of the lid. Both veneered sides have vertical shrinkage cracks. Includes all the locks and the key. The marble slabs are without chips, or stains. The right side marble piece has been broken in two and cemented back. The mirror is fine. The original finish has aged to almost an ebony color.

Antique English bow front regency chest of drawers with matched cross cut mahogany front. Pencil molding with turned mahogany pulls centered with etched mother of pearl inlay. The two over three dovetailed drawers rests on turned legs and a scalloped skirt. Dimensions are 47" in width, 20 1/4" in depth and 45" tall. This piece has a beautiful wood grain. The chest has one full width drawer at the top. Two half-width drawers on the left are paired with a large compartment on the right, possibly originally intended for a chamber pot. The drawer pulls appear to be replacements, although the pull for the compartment, plus lock and escutcheon appear to be original. Antique Solid Mahogany Empire Dresser & Mirror
U p for auction is this magnificent Empire Style Solid Mahogany Man’s Chiffonier from around the 1830’s. The dresser was re-finished many years ago but the mirror was never re-finished. The drawers are dove-tailed and very thick. This does not have veneer. It is solid beautiful wood. It stands about 72’ tall and approx. 40” wide and is on the original castors. Antique Child's 19th C. Primitive Mahogany Chest of Drawers-Folk Art- AAFA
Read all of this and look at all the photos. This little mahogany childs chest of drawers came out of a Boulder estate last week. All original. Nothing altered little chest is 10 1/16" back to front and 13 1/8" side to side, and 13 1/2" high, with the back splash 2 1/2" The alligator finish is irregular and has a water stain on the top. I didn't want to mess with it. This little gem looks like 1850 period and east coast origin. We do see things in Boulder from early Pennsylvania. Certainly no later than 1870. It has many hand cut small nails that have bled into the wood. The four drawers have been painted pink inside at a later period and measure app. 8 x 11 x 2 1/2. The lower left front rail is partially missing and the right back rail is missing. There is an old crack on the top. They really do not distract from ... morethe piece. The sides are slightly curved. The secondary wood is pine. Again. This is a wonderful little chest in unrestored condition that was likely made on a farm on the east coast 150 years ago. We have gone over this piece extensively, and so have many other professionals in the appraisal business, and we are confident it is an original built sometime between 1790- 1840 most likely in Connecticut. It is a very ornate, all hand carved, which is uncommon for these of highboys. Only other one we have found online that even comes close to looking like this one is in an antique shop in New York City. The piece is in very very good condition for its age. We have gone over this piece extensively, and so have many other professionals in the appraisal business, and they are confident it is an original built sometime between 1790- 1840 most likely in Connecticut. Local appraised value of this piece is $15K-$25K. It is a very ornate, all hand carved, which is uncommon for these types of highboys. Only other one we have found online that even comes close to looking like this one is in an antique shop in New York City. The piece is in very good condition for its age. Antique Mahogany Chippendale Highboy circa 1790 RARE!!
This is an 8 ft tall circa 1790's Chippendale mahogany highboy that we have had in the family since the early 60's. My parents paid over 4000 for it then and had it appraised for over 8000 a few years later. It has a webbed bonnet with urn finials. Fluted columns along the side to the ball and claw feet. The center drawer is carved shell design. This is a real nice and massive piece. It has dovetailed drawers that are all period. The down side seems to be new drawer oulls. The warm patina of the mahogany has a satin luster that would mesh well with most decorating styles. The outward bow of the facade brings an element of brightening elegance to any setting. The two-on-three style drawers provide a great deal of storage. All of the drawers come equipped with all-brass hardware and lock escutcheons. However there is no key. The edges of the drawers are ... moredecorated with a fine bead molding. Just under the top molding is a handsomely inlaid double end spear design done from satinwood string inlay. The piece sits on a pair of very sturdy shaped bracket feet. The dresser is around 145 years old and in good condition overall. The drawers open easily and shut tight. The brass pulls are fastened securely to the drawers although they are not original to this antique dresser. There is a small chip in one as pictured. The mold around the top has been repaired on all sides. There is also a strong repair on the front right foot. You will find some separation marks in the darker spots on both sides and along the front moulding. There are signs of character building wear on the entire piece and the top has a number of light marks and stains. The pictures are a great representation of the condition. None of these items listed above have any sort of effect on the structural integrity of the piece as it is very sturdy. Wonderful antique dressers like this are hard to find.
