This table measures 30 inches in height. 34 inches wide by 25 inches deep and weighs approximately 85 lbs. This is a larger size table that would make a great center table for a room or foyer. This table is solid and tight and very well made and exudes century old elegance hand-crafted with care. The beveled edge marble top has no chips or cracks but does show some mild stains as common in old marble. The table apron has two chips to the wood on the bottom edge which I have shown in the last picture definitely nothing that distracts from this elaborate Victorian table but wanted to mention it. Very Old Antique Candle Plant Primitive Table Walnut or Mahogany Wood Stand NR
This auction is for a very old candle/plant stand. It is from the 1800's. It has been in my family for many generations. I am not sure if it is walnut or mahogany. I was told it was walnut but just not sure how to tell. The photos show the condition of the stand. You can see on the top and the bottom of the top piece. It does come off and you can glue it permantly if you like. When I ship it I will wrap the round piece off of the stand and that will protect it better. I just left it as is. The top piece has some seperation in the wood and you can see on the bottom where it has been held together with old clips. It has a little area where the wood is chipped on the bottom rim. We are pleased to offer this lovely table. The table is solid Walnut wood with no veneer. It features very deeply carved details. Both on the legs and the top. The table or stand is a 3 legged design. The legs are turned wood with carved scrolls in raised relief. The table top is deeply notched around the perimeter in a"pinwheel" type pattern. The top surface displays superb carved details. There are raised scrolls, which match the pattern of the legs, around the inside perimeter. The center features a trio of carved, raised flowers with stems and leaves. These are inset on a recessed surface which is encircled with a raised wood border. The top has either hand scraped or router marks for further interest. The table is a true work of art and it is finely crafted. I do not know the age of the table. Under the top, the table is assembled ... morewith flat screws. The leg attachments have Phillips head screws. I don't know if these are replacements. The wood is thick and substantial. The table is quite sturdy. It is in very good condition with only a few minor scuffs/scrapes to the surface of the finish. These are not distracting and can be resolved. I have this antique- rare old table up for bid. It came from my grandmother's estate and from my great grandmother's estate. The the table has been in our family a long while. When I talked with my mother about the table she said it was about 200 years old. It has a stamp under it NO. A-521. WAL. IMT it also has an 85 engraved near the supporting base across wood. The legs are shaped like a violin. It does need some restoration if someone wants to take time to make it more valuable. Let my inheritance be your treasure it will do nothing but sit in a corner here and collect dust. I have pictured all flaws no hidden anything. I am selling this absolutely gorgeous antique library table. I would date this table circa 1930s. This table is in BEAUTIFUL condition. There are some small scratches and scuffs on the legs but nothing that takes away from the beauty of the piece. This table has princess Ann style legs and a nice curve coming out from the table top. I believe the table is walnut but I am not absolutely certain. There is a tag on the bottom of the table which I am guessing is a makers mark but some of it is ripped off so I am unable to make it out. I listed a picture of it! This table came out of a wealthy families estate in Culpeper. VA. Antique Walnut One Drawer Stand - Nice Turned Legs & Lower Spindles - Unusual
This is an auction for a really nice old one drawer walnut stand. It is 30 1/4" tall. And the top is 15.5" deep(not including drawer knob) and 14.5" wide. The top"box" is constructed using blind mortise and tenon. The legs and the bottom spindles are turned. They may be hand turned- I can't tell. I find it unusual and very nice that the piece has lower spindles rather than a solid wood shelf. Notice the small lines that were"lathed" into the pieces. The drawer is not dovetailed and the bottom of the drawer is four boards. We reglued one of the top joints and saw chisel marks around the joints during that process. There is a split in the top piece of wood- see photos. The drawer slides smoothly. I really can't date this piece and it is possibly hand-made. ESTATE FIND. Large antique burl walnut table. Octagonal with 8 turned legs, 28 by 28 by 30 1/2 tall. Three of the legs need gluing- they push right back in but are loose. One of the pics shows this. There are also some markings on the top of the table- look like little tire marks- we don't repair our finds- AS IS. Not sure of the age of the piece. It would make a great accent table or in a foyer. The small shelf at the bottom would also work for a plant or decorative item. Very pretty! Free shipping charge in the US.
