VINTAGE STERLING SILVER ROCK CRYSTAL DOUBLE CAPPED ROSARY INSCRIBED+DATED1950 Description When I saw this rosary and held it in my hand. I could feel it was definitely very special to someone. It so reminded me of the one my mom used to pray before Mass-with the beautiful faceted crystals that spray rays of color when reflected by the high church ceiling lights. I remember being mesmerized by it when I was a child. But enough nostalgia. This is a unique rosary in that the beads are not the typical round faceted beads-they are multi-faceted. And sort of triangular or pear-shaped measuring 8.89 mm at the top. AND.they are NOT just cut glass-they are rock crystal, a form of natural quartz, as tested on the Presidium gem tester. The round Mystery beads are double-capped in sterling filigree. The link chain is sterling silver. As are the crucifix ... moreand the centerpiece medallion. Both the cross and the medallion are marked sterling, and the cross also bears a maker's mark. The rosary is inscribed with the owner's name. And the date of 1950-possibly it was a gift some 64 years ago. This beautiful vintage rosary(with provenance) measures 24 inches end to end(obviously with the loop doubled) It is in excellent vintage condition. Estate Sale find of a Beautiful vintage Sterling Silver and Crystal Bead Chapel Rosary. The cross and the other emblem with Jesus pointing to his heart on one side and the Madonna and baby Jesus on the other side are marked"sterling. I believe the heavy metal chain also is sterling as it does not stick to a strong magnet. The rosary has all 59 beads and is 20" long. The cross is 2-1/4" long and 1-1/4" wide. The glass crystal beads really sparkle. There is great detail on the figure of Jesus on the cross and on the emblem. This rosary weighs 45.2 grams. It comes with a leather pouch. Condition: The rosary is in very condition. A couple of the beads have the tinest of flakes that I could only see with a strong magnifying loupe. Just wonderful. Approx. measurements of the rosary is 34" long with the medal and cross piece measuring an additional 7 1/4" Laid out flat on a ruler. It measures 24 3/8" long. The cross measures 2 3/8" tall and 1 1/4" wide while the faceted beads measure 1/4" wide. Approx. weight is 66 grams. The rosary is in excellent condition. It has been polished lightly but could use a bit more. The Cross is marked Sterling on the back along with a maker's mark of a M inside a triangle. Really a wonderful Sterling rosary. This Vintage Sterling Silver and Faceted Crystal Rosary Beads is in its Original White Satin and Blue Velvet Box. It measures 21-1/2" long and weighs XX grams. The Colorless Crystal Beads have flat tops with a slightly smaller waist and link together with Sterling links. The Scrolled Cross measures 2" tall and 1-1/4" wide and is stamp marked. STERLING" The Center Medal measures 7/8" and has an embossed picture of the Virgin Mary and on the other side is Jesus; it is also stamp marked, STERLING" This Rosary was used and several of the Crystal Beads have tiny flea bites. But no cracks or damage and the Sterling Cross and Center Medal remain unpolished and have a soft gray Patina. This Rosary necklace is an Antique sterling silver piece with amazing light blue almost tear drop shaped crystals. I'm not sure what this shape is called since I have never seen it before. It comes to a pointed tear drop at one end but the top is flat. They are faceted so they catch the light exquisitely. There's a total of 59 beads, see last pic with the date 1830 imprinted under the virgin. There is some normal wear from age, but once cleaned properly I'm sure it will look like new! Vintage Pink Art Glass with Papal Crucifix Rosary This gorgeous rosary features a papal crucifix with pink glass beads. The crucifix has no markings that indicate what metal it is made out of. However. I believe it must be made of either pewter or sterling silver. This item measures 2" x 1" on the crucifix and the length of the beads is approximately 15.5" I have debated whether or not to sell this rosary as it is truly a one of a kind piece in excellent condition. Ready to be used for daily prayer. This rosary is absolutely stunning and the photos don't quite do it justice! BEAUTIFUL VINTAGE 1954 AURORA BOREALIS ROSARY IN STERLING SILVER, ORIGINAL BOX
This beautiful aurora borealis sterling silver rosary was carried by my aunt at her wedding. It is in its original box. It was put away and never used. It has a sterling cross and medal. The metal has the sacred heart on one side and Jesus and Mary on the other. Our Father bead is larger than the Hail Mary beads. It measures 22 ½” long. There are some scratches on the crucifix. It is a beautiful crucifix. The box is original and blue velvet.
