But i am not sure, could be the ... moreearly 1900s?There are no markings on it that i can see. The Hall Tree is in excellent condition, is very solid, and has a nice aged Patina look. It is about 82-3/4" tall, 24 to 26" wide(at different levels) and 15" deep. The Beveled Mirror is about 17 1/4" wide and 35" high and in very good condition for its age. There are 6 Coat, Cap Hooks, the two on top are Butterfly Hooks( unusual& rare) see picture 5, I have never seen these before or after we got this one) I don't know if they were on the Hall Tree from day one or if someone added them later, they are old and they compliment the attractive decorative carvings on top, plus they do match the cutout pattern above the seat perfectly.see picture 3) The Bench Seat has storage space under the lid. I believe this dates back to the early 1800’s. The finish is black and it is very ornately hand carved by what must have been a master craftsman. The massive crown holds an oval mirror that appears to be original glass. The body is a large rectangular pier mirror with a beveled edge. The mirrors are showing some dark spots and fogging, which is very common to pieces this old. There is a lamp shelf on each side of the large mirror and a small shelf that sits in between the lamp shelves. Below and behind the shelf are 2 smaller mirrors. This is a large elegant piece. Ornate Antique Solid Brass Coat Hat Rack Hall Tree Stand
This looked too ornate and had too much potential to be scrapped as brass. This looks to be solid brass. They don't make them like this any more. Weighs roughly 12 lbs and is roughly 73.5 inches tall(6'1.5" Some of the screws have broken off and need to be extracted. One screw remains that can be used to match new screws. Please see pictures. A great project for someone. The scrap price for brass is roughly $2 a lbs so the opening bid is set to $24 which would be the scrap price for this brass coat stand. I hope this is bought and not sent for scrap.

Vintage Industrial Style Metal Hall Tree
This vintage piece is marked as you can see in the pictures as Pontiac Motor Division. G.M.C. The estate it came from told me it was originally in the General Motors Corporate offices. They had it for over 30 years. With Pontiac now shut down this is a great gift for the right enthusiast. Other then a few nicks it is in very nice condition. It is metal with a brown woodgtain. 1950's VINTAGE INDUSTRIAL METAL HALL TREE COAT-HAT RACK-GLOBE WERNICKE
For over 60 years Globe Wernicke made some of the most unique and high quality items in the world. They specialized in specialty type items. While their items were the best of their kind. They never advertised to be cheap. It was always of the highest quality and workmanship. I've seen many of their doctor and dentist cabinets and they are simple amazing. This coat rack is an example of the quality they made their products. The paint hasn't even chipped off of it. When they made something, they made it to last. No worries of this coat rack tipping over even if you hung all the coats on one hook. Most of their items was for commercial use and was made to take the abuse. It will need a good cleaning as it has a film of dust or dirt on it but as far as it's appearance, it just doesn't get any better. It stands 68" tall and ... morehas 4 double hooks on it. It's sturdy enough to add more hooks if you need them. I was reading in a forum one time and the writer claimed that Wernicke hooks are nickel plated. I've never taken one off to see if they are marked, even if they are nickel plated, they probably would not be marked anyway. I tend to agree with him since I've seen several of these where they have been left out in the weather to the point that the paint has come off but the hooks are always as clean and shiny as the ones on this one. Whether they are plated with nickel or not, they would have to be coated in something to stay the way they did and in this time period, nickel was the most commonly used to accomplish that. here's what I suggest in shipping this rack. If I put the base in the same box as the upright. The size of the box will be that width for the entire package. That will be very expensive to ship since it's 68" long. I have calculated the cost of shipping based only on the upright shipped in a thick cardboard tube. I will pay for the cost of shipping the base separately. There is a subtle pattern running through the center pole. It stands approximately 72 inches tall with a 66 inch tall center pole. The distance between the legs is 23 inches.
