This is from my grandmother who was a little old German lady that collected many things. The picture has been in storage since the 1960’s in my dad.S attic. I am not sure as to the artist or manufacture but I can assure you that it is authentic and not a reproduction. Measures 8"x7"x5"Condition is very good no cracks or chips that I can see. The figure on the picture is playing some sort of instrument on his lap. If you like this one then bid cause I don't have 2 of this. Antique Victorian Huge English Wash Bowl Water Pitcher Aesthetic Blue Transferware HARVEST by Della Robbia Lovely and large water pitcher made by a not so well known North Staffordshire potter called Della Robbia Co. They were only in existence from 1894 until 1901. Located in Birkenhead. The pattern name"HARVEST" is printed on the bottom of the pitcher. The center swatch is indeed that of some workers in the field with flowers and stems projecting through it and around it. On the back side of the pitcher, the scene is repeated but in a smaller size. Between the two scenes there is a small sprig of flowers and leaves. This pitcher has a segmented melon shaped body. Scalloped top and rope handle. The pitcher measures 11-1/2" tall and about 8" wide(across the widest part of the body) This is the size you would find with ... morea wash basin bowl! Would look so nice in a cottage decor or at a bed and breakfast. The pitcher is in excellent condition! If I didn't know its age and only looked at its condition. I would think it was nearly new! There are no chips or cracks or crazing. The only very minor thing I see are some light grayish marks along the rope handle which appear to have been done in manufacturing, perhaps thinner paint coverage. Also, a few craze lines on the bottom exterior of the pitcher and a few inside the pitcher, only on the surface. The pitcher is immaculately clean, inside and out. The glaze is nice and shiny. My research shows this water pitcher to have been made by William& Thomas Adams(My Granny's Attic Antiques: UK Porcelain and Pottery Marks) They were in business from 1866-1900. Which put them during the"Aesthetic Movement" of 1860-1900. The pitcher measures 12 1/2" tall to the spout. Pattern is brown transfer. Homer Laughlin China Empress Shape Pitcher(please scroll down for more photos) Home Laughlin's Empress shape tableware patterns were introduced in 1914 and were a popular shape until they were retired in the late 1920's. This exquisite Empress shape pitcher is white with bright blue accent lines on the rim and handle. The center line is broken on one side with a scene of what could be the Zuiderzee in times gone by. Sailing ships ply a tranquil sea with windmills on the horizon. This pitcher is about 5-1/2" high. And about 7" from handle to spout. The underside is marked with the Homer Laughlin backstamp, the shape name"Empress" and a number I can't make out. It weighs about 1-1/4 pounds, before boxing for shipment. The dealer believes it is fromRockingham Works. England.Mid-1800’s. It stands 9” tall to the topof the finial and is 6” diameter at the widest point. It is a beautiful. Deep sky blue with goldand white flowers, ornate stripes, scrolling and a large leaf shape at thespout. The lid features a rose ontop. The handle is an ivory color. Waco, China This vase& pitcher are very old. Probably from the 1930's- 1940's. The pitcher does have a chip off the top lip. It does have a fine crack on the outside. But it does not seem to go all the way through. The pitcher measurements are: 8" tall(at its peak) opening is 4"x5" and the circumference is 18" at it's widest point. The vase is very pretty also, and it doesn't have any chips. But, it does have a brown stain. I don't know what this was originally used as- possibly a vase, or maybe a toothbrush holder. For your consideration is this Antique Warwick Brown Transferware Water Pitcher Description: This is an antique. Brown transferware water pitcher, unmarked, but appears to be by Warwick. The pitcher's brown transferware depicts Roman/Greek pots, vases, and serving platter atop a leaf-scroll pattern shelf. This exact same design appears on both sides of the pitcher. The pots and vases pictured on this pitcher contain images of Greek/Roman mythological men and women. The top of the pitcher is bordered with a floral scroll design that is about 1 1/4" thick. The inside rim of the pitcher also has a brown border. The handle is decorated with a floral design and raised scroll design at the bottom of the handle. All of this beautiful artwork is a soft brown, which contrasts masterfully with the white pitcher. This item measures approximately ... more12" tall, 8" wide at its widest, 4" in diameter at the base, and 5 1/4" wide at the widest part of the top rim. Condition: This antique pitcher does have crazing. But this does not compromise the integrity of this piece. The base shows signs of normal, age related wear. Antique Porcelon water bowl/ewer from England
Estate sale. This was professionally appraised at $600.00 This is a Midwinter Pottery made in Burslem. Staffordshire. A pottery was started in Burslem in 1910 by William Robinson Midwinter called Bourne's Bank which expanded to the Albion Pottery in 1918 and this is where the wash set was made. It dated to the late 1920s- 1930s, as indicated by the black and white checker design framing the painted panels, a motif much used during this Art Deco era. Water bowl is 15 1/2" diameter and the ewer is 11 1'4" tall. Appraiser's comments. The design on this set is quite stunning. It is a revival of a decoration made famous by Minton in the 1870's. Realistic polychrome enamel painting in the Barbotine style. It looks to be entirely hand painted or possibly hand painted over a transfer printed outline. I don't know who made this pitcher. The pitcher measures 3 1/2 inches in diameter- 6 1/2 when the spout and handle are included. It stands 5 3/4 inches tall. The pitcher has some crazing. Antique WARRANTED PRINCESS Large Ceramic Water Pitcher, Damaged, Repaired
This listing is for a Antique Water Pitcher(Does not come with Basin) It has WARRANTED PRINCESS stamped on bottom. This pitcher is supposed to have a wash basin that came with it. But unfortunately I DO NOT HAVE the basin. I actually saw the basin for sale on ebay a while back, but I think it has already been sold. This pitcher is NOT in perfect mint condition. It has been damaged and has been repaired in a couple of places. The spout has been broken and glue back, it has a 2 1/4" crack near the bottom, it has a hairline crack near the front of the pitcher that does not go all the way through, and it has a circular crack about the size of a quarter near the bottom of the handle. If you look very closely you can see some crazing also. The large crack on the spout can be seen the most, the other smaller cracks are not that noticeable. ... moreEven with the obvious large repaired crack on the spout.this would still make a BEAUTIFUL display piece! Beautiful Antique Warwick China Water Pitcher with Floral Design
Antique Warwick Water Pitcher This pretty old Water Pitcher measures 5 3/4" high and 5" across. It is in excellent condition. No chips, cracks or fleabites. There is a bit of wear to the gold trim and 2 small flaws on the handle from the manufacturing process, as both are under the glaze. The color goes from a deep rich green to a light teal, there is gold trim and highlights, with a pastel flower pattern towards the top. It is marked Warwick China in black.
