Large Antique Doulton Burslem pitcher and bowl in good condition apart from a small flaw on the rim of the pitcher and some wear on one side of the rim of the bowl. The bowl measures approximately 16 1/4 ins by 13 1/4 ins. The pitcher is approximately 10 ins tall and is 4 1/4 ins by 6 3/4 ins at the opening. This beautiful set was made in Enland by the John Haddock& sons Co. It was in perfect condition til someone in my shop cracked the large pitcher and walked away not informing me. cost of doing business with the public these days) It is a very large crack on the side that starts at the base of the handle and rolls down around to the bottom 15 inches around. I try and be as honest as possible. That is the only damage. Even though it is a very large crack. The set is beautiful. Just turn that side to the wall. This set is NOT a reproduction. There is no other damage on the matching pieces. Chamber pot, bowl, 3piece soap dish and vase.I added Amish soap and an antique hand towel to the set for looks and I will send them along. Water Pitcher and Wash Bowl Basin Lovely Set with all the Sky Blue Transfer ware Flowers Hunter Green Leaves trimmed with a Burgundy for the stems And the Sun Yellow centers There is a ring of 14 k that runs the rim of the bowl which only shows one or two wear spots On the outside of the bowl it has a pattern in the porcelain ribbed ring runs in a circle with another 14k ring of gold around the foot of the bowl. Marked on the bottom with the makers mark Keystone Condition of the bowl: You will see crazing and some staining in that crazing. If you do not like the staining which is part of the age I know a recipe to clean it out. NO BLEACH) I personally do not do this but have seen it done and it works on most every stain The bowl has no cracks chips or hairlines and is in Excellent Vintage Condition THE PITCHER: It matches the bowl perfect ... moreand with all the same. Three gold bands, one on the rim, neck and around the foot. 3 or 4 wear spots on the gold rim of the pitcher is the only wear I say to the gold The handle at one time had gold but that appears to be nearly worn away Marked on the bottom with the Keystone makers mark Inside the pitcher you will see in the photo's there is a chip in the very bottom all the other things you see in the photo for inside the pitcher are stains but no other damage I could find with my fingers The pitcher has crazing as the bowl has. I have given you a photo of a craze line from the rim headed down this goes on both sides. Crack or craze the pitcher is holding well. This seems to be a French Provincial style with ornate roses in a beautiful rose pink with gold rimming on bowl. Pitcher& handle& vanity piece. It is gold rimmed and I believed it is porcelain. It has two vanity pieces. Which are not in perfect condition as you can see by the pictures. This is an antique piece and does show it's age. There are no cracks in the bowl or pitcher but there are paint flaws and the gold is wearing off in spots. It has a maker mark but. I don't know this maker. Please see pic. I have looked up the marks on these pieces of Vodrey and the marks date c1896(Kovels) Bonita is the name the pottery gave it or was the pottery herself. Not sure. The pitcher in the bowl is approx. 13” tall, bowl is 5” tall and the width of the bowl is approx. 16 ½” across. The weight on both bowl and pitcher is 12# reason for the shipping cost. The blue is very nice color and the bowl also has a doe color washed around the edge inside and out. I thought this was stain but nothing would remove the color, must be in the making of the set. Too, the pitcher has two runs that is in the making, as shown in the pictures. There are stress cracks but not broken through. Was so pleased to find no real major damage for pottery this old such as chips or repairs. This set has been packed for a long time and from an estate. It was well packed. PB&S mark was only used between 1878-1891. was the only period that Powell was part of the company) Was the mark of Powell. Bishop& Stonier. Staffordshire England. This amazing flow blue set has no cracks or splits but does have crazing which is hard to see on the decorated part but can be seen on the bottoms.see picture. Poppy flowers and signed poppy on the bottom. For auction from a local midwestern estate is an antique wash stand bowl and pitcher set original to the era in which these items were used. The pitcher is 11 1/4 inches tall and 9 inches wide and weighs 3 lbs. 7 1/4 ounces. The pitcher is not signed or marked. Is molded and during the firing process in the kiln acquired a few small silt bumps. The dark pinkish is still vibrant but has a spot on the rim of the pitcher where the paint has worn away as noted in the pictures. Note the remarks above re the one inch by one inch surface scratch. The pitcher is simple in design, but elegant and beautiful. The bowl to this set is marked on the bottom and signed Parisian Stone China, Smith Ford& Jones, Burslem England, has nice age crazing, and ivory white with deep pinkish to maroon color appliqués of an English garden. The rim of the bottom ... moreof the bowl has nice age wear. There is a nice raised or 3-D dental molding along the top edge of the bowl on the outside coupled with leaf raised molding around the bottom of the bowl above the rim. There is a 4 cm indent in the china along the rim which is either a kiln occurrence or actual chip. If I had to guess, I would say it happened during firing of the glaze, BUT I AM NO EXPERT in pottery and can only describe to you what I see. The bowl measures 15 inches in circumfrence from rim to rim, and 5 1/2 inches from top of the bowl to bottom of the rim making the bowl depth 5 inches. Weight of the bowl is 5 lbs. 5 1/2 ounces. This is a nice set of a wash basin and water pitcher from a nostalgic time most likely, because the wear on the set is minor, used for the guest room for visitors. This one is a dandy for collectors. Very rare Brownfield& Sons wash basin set. Bowl is approximately 5" tall and 15-1/2" diameter. The pitcher is 13-1/4" tall. I believe the other piece is a soap dish but I haven't seen one like it before. The top has 21 holes in it so the water can drain into the bowl underneath. This small dish is 2-1/4" tall and 5-3/4" diameter(This is the measurement with the lid on) Each piece has a very beautiful floral design. The only piece not stamped with the Brownfield& Sons hallmark is the lid to the small dish but it is obviously original to the set. No chips or cracks which is very rare for a set this old. The pitcher also has some crazing but no cracks that I can see. There's also a muted bouquet inside the snout. The basin looks like it was used and there are some water marks inside the ... morebasin. It is also embossed on top and it is not marked. The floral design cloub be cherry blossom. I cannot determine if the florals on both pieces are decals of handpainted since they are both muted. The basin also has cracks inside, by the lip and outside(I found 2) but its not a cvrack the goes through the ceramic. The basin is a very thick ceramic almost like an Ironstone piece. It measures 17" in diameter and about 5.25" high. The Pitcher measures 11.875" High, 10" by 8.5" NOTE: If you purchase this item. Antique H& K Tunstall Wash Basin& Pitcher This is an EXQUISITE antique wash basin& pitcher made by H& K Tunstall in England in the very early 1900's. During the Art Deco period. It is hand painted pottery with rich blue as the sky and warm brown sands draping the bottom. The inside rims of both the pitcher and the basin are lined with a beautiful green. The same colorful designs wrap around each of the pieces, showing Arabians riding camels through the desert. Antique S F& Co Crown Devon Ware Pitcher& Wash Basin This is a gorgeous antique S Fieldings& Co Stoke on Trent Pitcher& Wash Basin/Bowl made in England. They are both Earthenware pieces hand painted with a floral design and gold gild. The basin bears the mark"Crown Devon(Devon" rubbed off) S F& Co Stoke on Trent England" with a crown stamp and"Rono524189" Since it's using the word"Crown" in it's maker mark still. This piece was made sometime between 1913-1917. The basin also has 2 impressed numbers, one looks like"RD634194" and the other I am unable to make out. S F& Co dropped the word"Crown" on their marks in 1917, so the pitcher was made sometime between 1917 and 1930, I believe closer to 1917 since it's a similar floral pattern being used in both ... morepieces. The mark on the Pitcher bears"Devon Ware Fieldings Stoke on Trent England" with a Crown stamp as well. Both pieces are large and heavy. The Pitcher measures 12"h x 8"w(at widest part) the Basin is 15.75"w x 5.5"h Conditions: The Basin has a tiny ding on the rim and has some crazing on the outside& spotting due to the glaze used and it's age. It also has 3 chips on the bottom rim. The Pitcher has 1 small chip on the top rim. Both pieces have loss to the gold gilding. Both the basin and the pitcher both had writing in marker on the bottom. Probably for if they were lost in travel, someone would know who to return them to. I was able to scrub off the personal number that looked to be on both pieces, but left the phone# name and what looks to be an item# there are some smudge marks from trying to remove) Please see photos for details and a closer look. This is a very large pitcher and bowl that my late mother bought in an Antique store in Jackman. Maine close to 50 years ago in 1967. They were old when purchased. The markings on the bottom of both the pitcher and bowl show only a number 2163 on both. Since 1967 it has literally sat on a cherry washstand in a master bedroom. It has no chips. There is a slight discoloration mark under the lip of the bowl which I took a picture of. This does not show when displayed. These pieces were old when purchased but the gold banding and pink roses with blue band looks great. These pieces look great. Usual crazing due to age of pieces. Shows wonderfully. This antique. Authentic wash basin and pitcher are made of ironstone, probably in the 1800's. The impressed makers mark is on the basin only. Two animals facing each other in between a shield. It could be a dragon or a lion facing a bird. It's hard to tell. Underneath it says Flo Blue 1850. The pitcher only has 1850. I realize this does not look like anything the term is used with today. I have not been able to find any information on this mark. My great aunt was a huge antique collector and this set came from her. She passed in 1968. The basin or bowl is 5" tall and 15 3/4" across. Both pieces have been glazed completely. The colors are cream and shades of brown mostly. With a reddish undertone in the center of the pitcher. The pitcher handle is 12" high and the body is 8" wide. It has a beautiful shape and the ... morepattern really accents the shape. Some photos are with a flash. It has been sitting in a garage apartment for almost 50 years untouched. I repaired a chip on the base of the pitcher. There are a few spots where the color is gone. Just flea bites and one place on the upper edge of the bowl. The bottom rims both show some signs of wear. The Flo Blue mark is something I personally have not seen. I believe this piece was made in England. I also believe the term flow blue has been used to describe a look and now is known as a process. To me. This set is evidence of a company or a manufacturer of that name. Some always cry forgery if they aren't familiar, but I don't believe a forger wouldn't use Flo Blue on a brown piece. It feels like this could be a piece of history that we have lost. If anyone knows anything about the mark and the Flo Blue name. I would love to know! Antique Victorian Water Pitcher & Wash Basin Bowl EXCELLENT Sydney Australia
Rare Antique Warranted Sydney Pink Rose Bowl& Pitcher Set Warranted Syndey from turn of the century- late 1800's or early 1900's. You are bidding on a RARE primitive antique pitcher and wash bowl basin set. The bowl measures 14 inches across and 4 ½ inches high. It has a beautiful pink rim and a pink and green rose painted appliqué decoration. The outside of the bowl has a raised leaf design near the bottom. The bottom is unmarked. The water pitcher measures about 10 ½ inches tall and about 8 inches across the widest point. It has the same green and pink rose appliqué decoration as the bowl. It has a single rosebud appliqué on the inside of the spout. The outside of the spout/ rim and the underside of the handle have what looks like a sprayed gradient pink tint and the pitcher has a beautiful scalloped ... moreedge and flowing handle. It has the same raised leaf design on the lower edge of the pitcher. The green watermark stamped on the bottom of the pitcher says WARRANTED SYDNEY around a royal crest with a gargoyle and a unicorn. I believe these are from the 1800’s. These items are in amazing antique condition with just a couple of small chips to the outer edge of the bowl rim. The pitcher is perfect. It is interesting how it looks like specks of the paint from the appliqué have flaked off in the glaze before firing adding flakes of color to the white background. This is an amazing HUGE set. Marked Revere China with the logo for the Akron China company of Akron. Ohio. Made between 1894 and 1908. They made ironstone and transfer ware utilitarian and heavy use china and porcelain pieces for hotels, restaurants, and large dinner sets for private use, etc. This set is a very pretty ornate mold. Look at that handle and the decoration around the underside of the bowl matches the decoration around the neck of the pitcher. It has a simple floral transfer decoration. It retains at least 98% of all the gold trim on both pieces. These authentic old sets are getting hard to find in this condition and with two original MATCHING pieces. Uniform crazing in the glaze, a crack to the rim, an"X" spiderline crack to the side, seen inside& out, and looking inside the pitcher many restorations are visible. There is also wear that would commensurate with the age and use of the pitcher. The bowl measures approx. 15" in diameter by 3-3/4" tall. Large Antique 1800's Furnival Wash Basin Pitcher & Bowl Set / Leaf & Flower
PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR PICTURES AND DESCRIPTION Up for auction is this antique Furnival Wash Basin/ Pitcher& Bowl set. The pitcher stands a little over 11 inches tall and the bowl measures 15 inches across and about 5 1/2 inches deep. Together the set weighs almost 11 pounds. It has a pretty flower and leaf transferware design. There is crazing to both pieces. I didn't find any cracks or chips. But there is some age and gold loss. I am actually surprised how much gold still remains on both pieces. The rim of the bowl has a couple little blemishes but I wouldn't call them chips. I have taken pictures of both pieces and their marks on the bottom. This set is expensive to ship safely. I have used the shipping calculator through ebay to calculate the shipping cost. I will check other carriers to see if I can get a better shipping ... morecost. But it is heavy and large. All items must be paid for within 5 days of auctions end.
