No obvious repairs, other than what looks like a repair 1/2 way down below the spout-but this"repair" does not go through to the inside, so it may have just been a flaw. Holds water, no leaks. Antique Salt Glaze Stoneware Colbalt Blue Water/ Milk Pitcher !
This is from my grandmother who was a little old German lady that collected many things. The picture has been in storage since the 1960’s in my dad.S attic. I am not sure as to the artist or manufacture but I can assure you that it is authentic and not a reproduction. Measures 8"x7"x5"Condition is very good no cracks or chips that I can see. The figure on the picture is playing some sort of instrument on his lap. If you like this one then bid cause I don't have 2 of this. ANTIQUE PARIAN WARE/STONEWARE PITCHER 11" TALL WITH HIGH RELIEF DECORATION
Magnificent antique parian ware pitcher cast in high relief with grapes and grape leaves and allegorical figures around the middle in drunken splendor. A bit naughty however. As one of the male figures is pinching the buttocks of his companion and the scene around the entire piece appears to represent debauchery and drunken fun. The grapes and leaves around the top portion are finely represented and detailed. The handle is moulded to represent grape twigs. As far as damage goes there is a chip off the inside of the lip of the jug approximately one inch and is not very noticiable. There is a hairline crack to the inside of the pitcher not seen from the outside. Also one of the faces of the figures is totally missing and I think that was done in the manufacturing process. There is a little brown staining on the top grapes in a couple of places, ... morebut again, very slight. Unmarked on the bottom except for the numbers 6 over 49. I am not familiar with this type of ware so maybe an expert out there can fill in the manufacturer and date. I do know that this piece is old as it was purchased many years ago. Stands 11" tall and 5 1/2" wide. Shipping will be through USPS and determined upon auction close. Please wait for the invoice. Approximate weight is 6 pounds without packing! The manufacturer is Charles Meigh and date is 1844. It is called Bacchanalian Dance. A similar jug can be viewed if you google the V&A Museum and search for Charles Meigh. Thank you to a great Ebay Member for the information.

Rare Ancient 10" Stoneware Jug Muromachi? 1400-1600 Ash Glaze Pottery Antique
Ancient Stoneware Jug/Pitcher A One Of A Kind Piece Have For The Collector In Your Life! This is a beautiful. Primitive jug! Imperfect in shape, with"sloppy" rough look to the bottom. Natural ash glaze at the inside of the mou th& on the shoulders. Running down the body& creating a unique design in e arthen shades. The rough stone p eaks out from under the glaze in several areas. Creating different textures. I believe this is from the glaze wearing or chipping off in places over the many years. There is no glaze on the inside of the jug beyond the inside lip. Which suggests to me that this piece was created before non toxic glazes were implemented. Unsigned. With no markings anywhere on the pi ece. Extremely thick& heavy. Approximately 10" tall. 5 1/2" across at widest point. In very well kept condition. There ... moreis a small chip to one side of the mouthpiece. As pictured. It in no way takes away from the beauty or rarity of this piece. This is an extremely old& rare piece! I've been told that it's possibly from the Muromachi period. Which would date it between 1392–1573. I t has not been confirmed though. So I do not guarantee that it is Muromachi. However. This is definitely a primitive ancient piece. As is evident by the texture of the pitcher. Glazing, mino r imperfections in the shape& glaze. It is simply beautifu l! Please Contact Me About International Shipping Rates. If Interested. Please feel free to email me with any questions you have before bidding. Payment is expected within 3 days. Items are shipped within 3 days of receiving payment. Antique Blue and White Stoneware Milk Pitcher w/Sea Captain and BoatYard Scene
THIS IS A GREAT OLD RARE SEA CAPTAIN MILK PITCHER 4 1/4"H X 4 1/2" W
Mustard Yellow Ware Pitcher Kitchen Stoneware Vintage Pottery Primitive Antique
Great Primitive Yellow Ware Pitcher I have had this pitcher for a very long time. Its time to let it go. The pitcher if very heavy and a bright shade of mustard yellow. I think the third picture shows the true color of the pitcher the best. No cracks or chips. There is crazing throughout the pitcher and glaze lines. The handle looks applied and the base is ribbed. It appears very primitive due the crudeness of the pottery. Meaning there are a lot of pottery lines and unevenness. There are rough lines inside the pitcher. These are not cracks but from the pottery making process. A really pretty pitcher. Measures: 8 1/2" tall Base is 4 1/4" Width is about 8" including handle and 6" without the handle. Weight of pitcher: 3 lbs 5oz No identifying marks. If you thump the pitcher with your finger the ring is a thud meaning it ... morewas most likely made in the US.
ANTIQUE 1800'S WHITES OF UTICA STONEWARE PROSIT JUG / PITCHER NY POTTERY -RELIEF
Up for your consideration is a very early unique stoneware beer jug/ pitcher from the late 1800's classified as WHITES OF UTICA NY POTTERY PROSIT. Piece is extremely well made weighing 4 1/2 LBS and measuring 11 Inches X 8 1/2 Inches. Pitcher is very ornate with many different decorative standards and reliefs. It is very unusual to find such High Relief Molding on Whites Stoneware which makes this a highly decorative piece. Also of note is the very unusual serpent or snake handle. Each side depicts men of nobility from the time period of creation(1800's) Above each human relief lies a cobalt blue dog head on each side. These heads used to house a wire handle(which is missing) The spout is molded in the relief of a bulldog. The bottom is marked with the letter"C" or"E" or"3" The name Prosit refers to a ... moreGerman idiom that means"To your good health" or"A toast to you! This is an extremely good example of early American Pottery and are becoming harder and harder to find! A great investment piece as well as eye grabbing decorative display! Any questions please ask!

Antique Stoneware Pitcher with decorated love birds.
Antique stoneware pitcher with decorated love birds could also be considered as a Jug. This fabulous piece is rare. Unique, and seldom seen in this brown/green color. Notice the love birds on the branch and they are on both sides of the pitcher. Inside the bottom of the pitcher is the letter G. Very detailed roping, the love birds sitting on a branch with leaves and berries. This pitcher measures almost 8 inches high. And 4 1/2 inches across the top of the pitcher. Neat item. Small chip on the spout as shown in the picture, otherwise this pitcher is in great condition for its age. Please message me with questions or if you desire more pictures.
ANTIQUE 19th C.LG HEAVILY EMBOSSED BLUE & GRAY SALTGLAZED STONEWARE PITCHER
This is one of the most highly embossed and decorated stoneware pitchers I have ever seen. All the blue is under the glaze and the dark green is over painted. This piece measures 11 3/4" 29.8 cm) in height. 6 1/2" 16.5 cm) in diameter at the widest point, 4 1/2" 11.4 cm) in diameter at the bottom and 3 3/4(9.6 cm) in diameter at the top including the spout. There is no company mark, only the number"675" incised on the unglazed base and a hand scratched"4" The pitcher(or jug) is most likely German and the style of the decoration would date it to around the 1870s. Between each decorated band of designs there are horizontal beads and rope designs. 10 in all. Around the top there is a narrow band of"fleur-de-lis" designs. Below that is a band of eight winged cherub heads. The next wide band has four"Bows ... morewith drops" and four fruited swags that alternate over a horizontal incised background. On the body is a wide band that has eight oval"windows" with large winged angels displayed from the waist up. The base of each angel as open blue and green designs. The handle is"C" shaped with a cobalt stripe and large bead down the spine. When viewed from each side there is a beaded design with strap work. Next the base of the handle on the left side is a 1/2" dollop of clay that was left on the piece when it was fired. Sometimes small pieces of clay transferred from other pieces when stacked close together in the kiln. 8" Antique Glazed Stoneware Pitcher-Star Stoneware, Crooksville, OH-c 1910
Offered is this antique dark brown glazed stoneware pitcher. It features a basketweave or waffle design all the way around with a zig-zag line around the top and bottom and two large bunches of grapes. One on either side. The bottom is marked with an impressed star. My Internet research finds that this was the mark of the Star Stoneware Co. of Crooksville. Ohio. In business from 1892 to 1945. What I have read indicates this particular mark was used during the 1900-1910 period. The pitcher is 8” high and about 5 1/2” across at its widest point near the bottom. It is in very good condition. There are no cracks or scratches. There are three or four very small spots where the glazing is missing. I’m not sure if they are chips or places that were never glazed in the first place. I have many other antique and vintage items listed on eBay as well. ... moreClick this link to see all of my.

Antique English Lusterware Tulip Pitcher Stoneware
This Flow blue stoneware pitcher we believe is English. But it is unmarked. It is a fine example of early Flow blue glaze with embossed tulips, cat tails, branches and leaves. The luster finish has been applied to the branches, tulips, and leaves. There is some crazing and a small amount of discoloration to the very bottom and on the inside of the pitcher. Neither the crazing or discoloration distracts from the beauty of the piece as you don't even see the crazing without looking inside or turning the pitcher over. Antique Primitive Stoneware Salt Glaze Sexy Brown Milk Pitcher
This 7" tall pitcher has the handle coming from the lip in a continuous flow. It is a wide mouth and a curvy body. Which is why I described it as sexy. The handle is also formed very crudely and is uneven. There is a slight decoration on each side of the handle of a flower or dragonfly. It is hard to see because there are so many layers of glaze. The bottom is glazed and has blobs where it has collected on the underneath edge. I think it is very old and a little different. Please contact me if you have any questions. Antique Whites Utica Salt Glaze Stoneware Pitcher, Religious Scene and Roses
Up for bid is a very unusual. Whites Utica Stoneware salt glaze pitcher from the late 1800's. If you look closely at the scene it appears to me to be a"God-like" Figure with a halo overhead ministering a cure to a child with a cane on the ground. The pitcher is 8& 3/4" tall by a 5& 3/4" wide top opening including spout. As you can see from the photos there are two chips at the spout. I am not an expert but the rest of the pitcher seems to be in very good condition. Please E-mail any questions and thank you for looking.

Antique ALBANY SLIP Glazed Stoneware Pitcher Mid 19th Century
We are pleased to offer a beautiful antique stoneware pitcher. Finished in dark brown Albany Slip glaze. It has a smooth finish with quite a bit of glaze drip on the lower portion of the piece. A very nice find! Pottery makers across upstate New York turned out millions of pieces of utilitarian stoneware in the 19th century. It was not considered valuable and as such. Was not preserved or well cared for. Much of it was finished in a dark brown glaze called Albany Slip. The glaze was high in mineral content which accounts for the variations in color- it can be almost black to lighter shades of brown. The firing process caused color variations as well. Many of the pieces show the fingerprints of the pottery who dipped the piece into the glaze before firing. We will be offering a number of these pieces in the coming weeks. They are great for ... moreaccenting country or primitive decor. Please be sure to add us to your and check back often. Condition: Excellent- no chips or cracks. Size: 7 1/2" tall; 5 1/4" diameter at the opening and 4 3/4" diameter at the base. Shipping: Buyer to pay actual shipping costs; insurance is included as a handling fee. We are happy to combine shipping for multiple purchases. Please note that customs fees are the sole responsibility of the purchaser. Returns: If you are unhappy with your purchase for any reason. Antique Blue Stoneware Crock Pitcher with Pioneer Scene
A real treasure. Circa 1890 to 1907. Very nice old crock pitcher. It is the old blue stoneware pottery with a pioneer scene that seems to tell a story. It appears to me that the pitcher might have a"salt-glaze" finish. It measures 8 inches tall and 7 1/2 inches wide from the tip of the spout to the edge of the handle. Only mark on it, that I can see is a number 10.

Antique Salt Glaze Stoneware 4T Blue Pitcher Creamer Arches & Wheat or Fishscale
Offered is a lovely medium blue pitcher in great shape. I purchased this in northwest Missouri about 18 years ago. But am still sifting through the house as I pare down and have decided to part with this. It is unmarked. So I do not know the maker or pattern name, but it looks like a wheat and arches design, so that is what I call it. Or. According to my collector’s book, it could be a salt glazed fish scale pattern? There are only some minor firing flaws of glaze skips or pops. Which are normal for antique stoneware, but no chips, cracks, hairlines or restoration. Measurements Are Close. But Still Approximations: Height: 4& 3/8” Span: from spout to handle has an outer dimension of 5.5” Top Opening: 3” diameter or 4” diameter. Including the spout. Base diameter: 3& 1/8” Handle: is firmly attached and line on the upper right side of ... moreit has glaze pooled into it. So is not subsequent damage, but was fired that way. Please view carefully the multiple photos. Showing you various views and inherent firing flaws of this pitcher. Thank You So Very Much For Looking In And Do Not Hesitate to Ask.
