Its a crack/scratch, its hard to tell its close to top of the pitcher and you see can see it but its not deep( doesn't go through to other side or anything) could be fine crack or a deep scratch.A minor flaw does not dismiss the elegance of this pitcher, it is a beautiful piece of art work. You can also see some greyish paint spots in the bowl. It is inside the bowl and painted in, it is under the glaze. This pitcher& basin are large measuring at 16" across basin. The pitcher is approx. 12/13"tall x 8" across at widest point& weighs approx. 12 pounds. Thank ... moreyou for stopping in and we hope you found items that you like. Large Ironstone 1890 England Floral Pitcher and Basin Bowl - Excellent Condition
LARGE IRONSTONE 1890 ENGLAND FLORAL PITCHER AND BASIN BOWL ITEM DESCRIPTION Beautiful and elegant. Both the pitcher and bowl are in excellent condition, extremely clean, and a crisp mold. Hallway, or even the kitchen. Colors: The true colors are slightly different than photos show. The yellow flower is not quite as gold as it looks– more yellow. The other flowers are lavender. The background shading on both the pitcher and bowl are a true light lemon yellow rather than the slightly goldish tint in photos. And are blended much better than photos show. There are no chips. Cracks, crazing, stains, water stains, or repairs. Very nice! 1890 Windsor Castle England Gater Hall & Co Pitcher - blue and white
UNMARKED Gater. Hall& CompanyBurselem, Staffordshire, EnglandLarge Transfer Ware Ale Pitcher, 8 1/2" tallcirca 1899-1907Dark Flow Blue& White Transfer pattern depicting the lovely Windsor Castle and an idyllic nearby lake on the other side with boats and rowers. On the castle. The Union Jack is flying, and that means the monarch is in residence. Raised relief black swags around rim and base. Rim is scalloped. Lovely double C handle with thumb spur and raised relief. Condition: No crazing. Cracks or chips. Unlike some others I've seen, this also has no staining on the interior. There is a roughness on one side of the interior near the rim(see last photo) It is white but feels like the glaze is different; this could be an old repair, but there is no impact to the exterior. The bottom shows wear at the point it would be on a ... moretable.

Brown & White Antique Ironstone Brown Milk Pitcher ~c.1860-1890 raised design
This is an exceptional example of a c.1800s ironstone milk pitcher. It has a thick glossy glazed raised design of a boy-girl surrounded by a border of oak-like leaves framing the scene on each side. It is very well decorated and attractive. I believe that it is probably English in origin. Outside is a thick chocolate brown glaze and inside is a thick white glaze. Where the clay shows through on the top rim(where the glaze did not completely flow) it looks like a yellow ware. The pitcher is about 6.5" tall and about 5" in diameter across the top-plus the spout and handle. It has a unique squared off handle that fits a large hand. The entire vase is in excellent condition without chips or cracks or repairs. The is a very small production pock mark on one side and the handle has a tiny flake or glaze miss on one corner. I cannot tell ... morewhich. The spout is in excellent condition also without a chip or nick. It may have a little wear on one edge or it may by dull glaze in the making. In either case it is almost not visible. The pitcher is heavy weighing 3 lbs. before packing.

Antique "Star Of David" Sarreguemines Majolica Tavern Pitcher c.1834-1890, fm935
Offered for your private collection is this stunning antique majolica pitcher. Made by the Sarreguemines Majolica Factory in the east of France. My book says that the makersmark was used from 1834 until about 1890. If this was made between 1870-1890 the town of Sarreguemines was German, it became once again French after WWI in 1918. That is why I put both in the Country of Origin. This wonderful antique pitcher has great moulding and a tree trunk for a handle. Be sure to enlarge the photos to see all of the ornate detail! The inside is a lovely Robin Egg Blue. It measures 9.5 inches tall and is almost 8 inches wide from spout to handle. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks! It does have overall glaze crazing which is normal and expected for antique majolica. Add this to your personal collection today or give as a fabulous ... moregift! Doulton Burslem antique ceramic pitcher, blue/pink floral/gold trim, ~1890
Large antique pitcher by Doulton Burslem. Pitcher stands 8" tall and 9" diameter at the widest point. Pattern is a stunning blue and pink floral with hand-painted gold leaf accents on a cream field. The style hints at turn of the century orientalism. Neck is dark blue with very fine gold floral and leaf pattern. The style of the maker's mark dates it to between 1886-1891. Condition: the rim and spout of this pitcher are badly chipped with substantial pieces missing. For display. It looks passable from one side(handle on the left) if level to the eye. The other side is badly damaged(see photos) Use it as a vase to hold flowers and the chips will be invisible. The glaze also shows some crazing typical to this maker.

Handpainted Nippon Porcelain Water Pitcher Water Lilies Gold Moriage 1890's
This Victorian Era Water Pitcher is probably an unmarked piece of Nippon Porcelain produced around 1890. It has the characteristic use of the Gold Moriage decorations and the beautifully hand painted Royal Purple Water Lilies on a moody. Mysterious green background. This Pitcher has the appearance of being used a great deal, as there is considerable loss of the gilding on the handle. Other than that, there only 1 small chip to the paint. Please see the pictures of this. The gold appears a little pink in the pictures, but it is the same gold that is always seen on these types of Nippon porcelain. The pitcher measures approximately 7" tall, 6 wide from the spout to the handle the base is 5 1/2" in diameter. Any questions, please contact me for a quick reply prior to placing a bid. Thank you for visiting and be sure to see my other ... morelistings for more great treasures.
