Beautiful antique achitectural piece of carved wood. Nice to hang above a mirror or door. Made of solid wood. Carved"grapes? in the center of Icanthus leaves. Measures 10 1/2" wide. 3" tall and 1 1/4" thick. This piece has an old hanging wire on the back if you wish to hang it on a wall. Could hang with grapes pointing up or hanging down. Nicely carved. Antique Victorian window box valences with female carved heads. They are wood with gesso type material forming decorations. Offering a set of 3 valences(50" wide X 6" deep X 14" tall. They came out of an old Victorian estate in Massachusetts. They are not in perfect condition as there are some medallions missing as well as a several chips in the gold finish. I have most of the missing medallions and the other areas can be restored. These would look fantastic in an old Victorian or Colonial style home. Please rely on photos for cosmetic condition. In a sandstone building that was built before the Civil War. The sale was the final liquidation of an antique store(they‘d had one previous auction- so much stuff, they had to have two) that used to operate out of this location- but the building has been closed, as well as the business, for over 20 years following the passing of the previous owners. Now, we’re talking two stories, an attic and a basement PACKED with antiques- it’s hard to imagine, and all of it just sitting for two decades. These folks had amassed a huge antique collection- many many items dating back to the early 1800s and before. There’s some gorgeous pieces of primitive Americana that I found. I can’t tell you how excited ... moreI am to be listing my treasures from the sale. I will be listing them for weeks to come. I also have the last of my farm auctions and South Dakota finds listed this week, so there’s something for everyone! Here's a sweet old architectural pediment for you- I just have the one. But it packs a punch of primitive charm. Made of solid wood, it has raised relief detail in the center that is oh-so-pretty. It measures 7" by 4 7/8" by 5/8" thick and is in excellent solid and sturdy condition. The two long sides are stained, and the two short sides are not, so that is clearly where they were attached- to a piece of molding, I'm guessing. You can see old dried adhesive on the backside from when it was in place. There's rustic wear to the wood ahd finish- scratches, scrapes, nicks, dings, nibbles, a small chip on one side that I'm showing in a close up. You could polish or put some stain on to diminish- but I wouldn't change a thing- it's primitively perfect to me! Please ask if you have any questions. UP FOR SALE WE HAVE A VERY NICE ORNATE HAND CARVED OAK PEDIMENT. JUDGING BY THE AGE OF THE WOOD AND THE CRAFTSMANSHIP. THIS IS A VERY OLD PIECE. LOOKING AT THE BACK THERE IS AN UNUSUAL PATTERN WHICH MAY HAVE BEEN CAUSED BY ITS USE OVER A FIRE PLACE OR PERHAPS A DOORWAY OR LARGE WINDOW. MEASURING 49" IN LENGTH BY 14" HIGH BY 1 1/2" THICK. Antique Architectural Salvage Wood Mahogany Shabby French Chic Wall Door Header
Up for sale is a salvaged mahogany wood door header or wall décor piece. I purchased this from an architectural salvage warehouse in Cleveland. OH. It was solid mahogany wood with a beautiful wreath with ribbon carving on it. I took it home, cleaned it up and painted a creamy white coat of Annie Sloan chalk paint on it. I only very slightly distressed and detailed the carving and edging of the piece with gold applique paint. It is so pretty! Appx 1/2" width. 16"H and 36"L. Check out my other estate items. Antique Primitive Carved Wood Architectural Salvage Pediment 3 Misc. pieces
Three unique vintage architectural salvage wood pieces. All are in very good vintage condition. Will need some cleaning, I will leave that up to their new owner, I don't know enough about old wood to clean it for fear or damaging it. First there is a nice hand carved pediment that measures 18 in. across X 5 in. at the tallest place and 3/4 in. in depth. Next is a unique fan shaped piece with some carving on it, the measurements are 10 in. from point to top X 8 in. at it's widest points and 1 in. at it's deepest depth. Last is a very detail carved rosette, some chipping on 2 of the petals(see pictures) there is a hole drilled in the middle. Overall very nice pieces. Thank you for looking.

Up for auction is this wonderful architectural wood sign. I recently purchased this at an estate sale in Litchfield. CT. I was told it was very old, but I really do not know the age. I looked all over the internet and could not find anything like it. I think it may be the remnants of a sign for a company that sold miniature Roman Chariot models, Carro de Guerra Romano, but I am really just venturing a guess here. Really can't figure it out. From the holes, it looks like it was mounted on something else, or was hung from above. Layers upon layers of paint, from the original old to touch ups over the years. Some wear and wood chips with age. Great carving on the image while the name is quite primitive. Measures approx. 32 1/2" w x 8" h x 2" at deepest points(on ends) Shipping insured is $19.75 across US connecting states.
