Up for bid is a STONEWARE BATTER JUG with BRISTOL GLAZE- Nice Piece! Batter Jug is in very nice condition for age. No cracks that I can find. One chip on rim. Pic 9) Inside of jug appears to have some crazing or small spider crack lines(pic) however. Inside of jug feels smooth to the touch and no cracks are evident to the bottom of jug. Nice decoration to the ears of jug. Bail handle is in nice condition. Jug stands about 9 3/4" tall and bottom diameter is approximately 6 1/2" Jug may have been made in two pieces. Bottom half was turned and the top half may have been molded, then placed together and glazed.

There are some imperfections but not many and this Jug as held up well over time.There are no chips or Cracks. This is a great display piece to add to your collection. I believe this is 1/2 gallon. Odd Old Glazed Jug with Finger Loop - Nice
Old Glazed Jug with a Finger Loop and Pinched Sides This item was very dirty and had several mud-dauber wasp nests built onto it when I got it. I scrubbed it thoroughly with a tough scrub brush and clean water. It was very difficult to get the wasp nests off and I can tell you that this jug is VERY solidly built. The handle is firm and the pinches along the sides give the piece strength. I do not find any markings on it. The inside and top are nicely glazed and the lower outside is a natural texture with a sandy feel to it. It is 8" tall and the bottom is 5" in diameter. It's a heavyweight at almost 3 pounds. I know little about these things. So the photos will have to be most of the description. Note that some of the photos were taken with a flash and some are natural light. Found in New England and up for sale without reserve is this handsome antique salt-glazed ovoid jug. Dating from the early 19th century. It has a single strong handle and a 3/4" lip. The condition is excellent and solid, without cracks or repairs, and the handle is perfect. There is one old and very small bottom edge chip and a few surface glaze bursts. NICE ANTIQUE STONEWARE JUG 9 INCHES TALL DECORATED WITH COBALT & WHITE LINES NR
3 DAY AUCTION! This is for a lovely antique stoneware jug with diminuative proportions and a quaint decoration of cobalt and white lines applied to the wall of the jug. The size is attractive. Standing 9 inches tall with a 6 1/2 inch diameter. The jug is in very good condition. It does have a small, flat chip on the bottom rim which is barely visible, and there is some glaze imperfection on the bottom rim which I think is from manufacture. There are a few straw lines, but there are no other chips and no cracks. The unglazed shoulder is soiled, but that's pretty minor. LITTLE BROWN JUG No 2 very nice ceramic jug
It measures approximately 12 1/2 inches in height with a base about 9 inches in diameter. Other than the‘No. 2’ on one side. It has no other identity label. It has been in my family at least as old as my youthful 74-plus years. Very good condition given its age. save a chipped lip and a few seemingly minor wee chips on the bottom edge. In any case. Antique Stoneware Whiskey Jug W/Corn-cob Stopper-Great Earthy Green Glaze ! Nice
Here we have a very nice stoneware whiskey jug. The color is amazing! Earthy green with a slight blue cast and a rusty brown showing through in some areas. Very clean inside and out thanks to the paper wrapped corn cob stopper that I believe is original to this jug. Fits perfect! Nice sized for tipping. Approx. 7 1/2" tall-6" at the top and 5 1/2 at the bottom. Slightly ovoid shaped. There are a few very small imperfections in the glaze where tiny bits of debris was glazed over and then came off later. Check close up of handle and see where the glaze ran around one of these. Vintage / Antique Cobalt Bird Rooster Jug Stoneware Pottery - Nice Lamp Base
Hand painted stoneware jug with cobalt blue rooster/ chicken/ bird. The jugs dimensions are roughly 12" tall. 2" lip, 6.5" diameter at base, and 24" in diameter at it's widest point. There are no visible makers marks that I can see, other than the artists initials of"DT" on the lower right hand corner. There is one small ding on the lip about the size of a pencil eraser(see pics) There are 2 thin glaze pops near the bottom- not hairlines- it doesn't show on the inside- this is in the glaze. No Chips Description Offered at auction is this very nice circa 1810 American stoneware small jug in exceptional collector condition with all the surface anomalies collectors like to see with no chips. Cracks, hairlines, or repairs having no kind of damages that would detract value. The size is rare standing 7in. tall to top of mouth and when filled to top of lip it holds 24oz, so 23oz. ideal capacity. The dark red around handle and mouth dripping down side is not any kind of paint but actually is the glaze not any kind of paint. Would make a spectacular addition to your collection and early American décor!

Clay Jug - Small, Old, Clean, Nice - needs a home
This auction is for a small old clay jug. There are no markings on it. And it is very clean both inside and out. I know it is very old because it belonged to my mother and I remember it from my childhood. And I'm 63 now. But. As there are no markings there is no way to verify that. In any case it is a very nice little jug and it needs a home. It wants to come to YOUR home. I boxed it up in lots of bubble wrap for the journey to you. The box is 8" x 11" x 9" and weighs 3 pounds.
