Large marked Davenport hunt jug from 1810-1825 (stapled handle)
We are listing this very large antique Davenport hunt jug- it is 7 inches tall and a whopping 10 inches at its widest point. It has the Davenport name over an anchor symbol impressed on the bottom. However, note that it is discolored on the inside and the base, and there are two cracks on the handle(which is stable) One of the repairs was done in the early 1800s, since it employs two metal staples(the high-tech repair method of that period) See the close-up pictures for details. Measuring 11.5 inches tall by 7 inches wide this striking. Excellent-condition, stoneware 1-gallon jug is marked"Providence Pub Market Co. Providence R.I. Which after some research. The only information we could find was an inspection report for the Company back in 1912. They passed safety and fire inspections with flying colors back then. McDade 2 Gallon Jug Antique Stoneware Pottery Marked number 2
About McDade Pottery: January 26 1893 On this day in 1893. Robert L. Williams produced the first piece of ware in the new McDade Pottery plant. The plant was the successor to a"jug shop" begun in 1853 in the vicinity of what is now Bastrop State Park. It was moved to McDade in the late 1870s, and Williams, who was experienced in ceramic processes and recognized the potential for McDade clay, bought the business in 1890. He built a new plant that covered three acres, complete with two brick beehive kilns, clay-grinding equipment, and a railroad siding. He continued the potter's-wheel turning of specialty items and the production of food-storage vessels and housewares, but also added new products. Cited From tshaonline) This piece of McDade pottery is in excellent shape. I purchased this piece out of a shop in Bellville Texas ... moreand I've had it displayed since. I am moving my collection in another direction. There are no cracks and the piece is great to admire.

English 1815-1835 Angels with Banner marked relief molded stoneware jug
We are listing this 1815-1835 English relief molded stoneware jug which is marked on the bottom with the raised Angels with Banner pad(also called the Angels pad) from that period. Impressed with the number 102(some experts have speculated that this mark may have been used by the H. R. Daniel partnership) On page 106 of the book An Illustrated Guide to British Jugs there is a picture and discussion of this mark. The jug is decorated with floral designs, is almost 4.5 inches tall, and is almost 6 inches at its widest point. The jug itself is in excellent condition, however the handle has been cracked across the middle and reglued(see the closeup picture) The handle is quite stable, the jug displays well, and this is a rarely seen mark from 200 years ago. We can currently only accept bids on this from the United States. The United Kingdom, ... moreand Canada. Shipping to the United Kingdom and Canada will be charged at cost. Payment must be made by Paypal within three days of the auction ending. Be sure to check out our other current and upcoming auctions of hundreds of antique and vintage objects in glass. Antique 1815-1830 English rectangular pad marked sprigged stoneware jug
We are listing this very rare English 1815-1830 white stoneware jug sprigged with very uncommon blue figures(see the close up pictures) It is marked on the bottom with a blue rectangular pad impressed with the number 115. There is discoloration on some of the sprigs and a small missing piece of sprigging on one figure(see the last closeup picture) but his is a great rare old jug. Very striking mid 1800s marked Copeland relief molded jug with unique handle
We are listing this very unusual mid 1800s Copeland relief molded jug. The designs on the elegantly shaped jug are very stylized flowers and it has a nicely braided handle and base. And an impressed letter T, an impressed number 18, and a hand painted number 9160. The jug is almost 10 inches tall, 5.5 inches at its widest point, and in good condition. Excellent early 1800s marked WEDGWOOD blue and white stoneware hunt jug
We are listing this very nice early 1800s blue and white Wedgwood stoneware hunt jug. It is marked on the bottom with WEDGWOOD and a letter D at an angle above it. The early 1800s style hunt scene is very detailed and multi-layered and covers the whole jug. The jug also has the pinched rim at the spout which was in fashion in the early 1800s. It is slightly less than 5 inches tall. More than 4 inches at its widest point, and in excellent condition for a 200 year old piece of stoneware. There is a tiny flake of blue glaze missing under the rim on one side of the spout, and there are tiny separation lines at the front mold line and under the base of the handle. Please view the close up pictures and judge for yourself the quality and rarity of this wonderful 200 year old piece of Wedgwood. VTG Buchan Poison Decanter / Jug ~ Stoneware ~ Scotland ~ Marked / Numbered
Vintage Buchan Poison Decanter Jug w/Stopper ~ Stoneware ~ Marked/ Numbered ~ Made in Scotland Description: Up for sale is a very unique stoneware Poison Decanter/ Jug with a stopper. There are several markings on the bottom. But, some are hard to read or seem incomplete. It is marked Finest Stoneware, Made in Scotland, 180/26, P. I am not familiar with the company stamp/ logo; however, I believe that it is Buchan. Portobello. There is an area close to the bottom edge with a faint blue marking, it almost looks like initials. But I can't be for sure. It measures approximately 9 1/2" tall with the stopper. 7 1/4" tall without the stopper. 2 1/2" length of stopper. 3 3/4" x 3 3/4" bottom base. 15 1/2" around the widest area of the jug. Overall, it is in very good condition with a few issues. The bottom does ... morehave some table top wear. There is some discoloration on the inside lip. The stopper has a small rough rub area pointed out in a photo and it seems to be missing the cork that went around the stopper, so the stopper fits loosely inside the jug. It is a beautiful decanter/ jug. Please note: Photos do no always reflect the true colors. P lease checkout all of the photos(12) I have provided as they serve as a visual description. Please see photos before bidding beca use my opinion of an items condition may vary greatly from your opinion of an items condition- they serve as a visual description!
