Set of 2 Two Vintage Antique Architectural Gold Paint Plaster Corbels Brackets !
Hi: For your consideration here is a nice set of two(2) vintage or antique sconces or brackets! These medium to large size pieces measure a bit over 8 1/4" from the top of the shelf to the bottom tip. And the surface area of the shelf top is about 9 3/8" wide by 4 1/2" deep which is the maximum depth they would stick out from a wall when mounted. The pieces weigh close to two pounds each unpacked. They are made of what appears to be white plaster or a similar material and the gold finish looks similar to gilders paste/paint. There is a small wire rod in the plaster with a twisted piece of wire on the back of each for hanging. Both are in good condition with no major loss or cracks. Both have light to dark spots or areas in the top shelf part(3rd photo from last) and the other has several small chips and related finish loss. ... moreThe'worst' chipped area is shown in the last photo but there is nothing that could not easily be touched up. Both pairs are in good condition with nice patinas to both. They're free from chips. Cracks, or breaks. Up for bid is a set of 8 or 9 pieces of architectural antique porch brackets. Also referred to as corbels, which make up 4 pairs. Each bracket spans 26-1/4" long across the soffit or frieze portion of your porch at a height of about 14-15" down from the frieze or soffit. Each bracket is approximately 1-3/4 to 2" thick and is painted with several coats of white paint. Most are in exceptional condition for their age, believed to be from the mid to late 1800's, though there are a few, which have a missing piece of wood here or there. There is also a portion of a ninth bracket, not complete that will be included, so that parts of this piece can be cut off to replace what might be missing on the others. Antique Matching Set of 4 Architectural Salvaged Corbels with Original Paint
Here is a matching set of four salvalged antique scroll type design corbels with the remnants of the original paint. The corbels measure 24" high. 5" wide, and 19" deep(however the ones with the attached trim measure closer to 22" deep) I have tried to show as much as I can with the 12 pictures available, but have taken additional photos(5 of each corbel showing each side, the top, back, and bottom) There are some pieces missing here and there on the corbels, I guess to be expected when they are this old. 1880's PAIR VICTORIAN GINGERBREAD ARCHITECTURAL SALVAGE WOOD CORBELS ANTIQUE #2
Here we have an original pair of 1880's era ~ VICTORIAN PORCH CORBELS WITH THE ORIGINAL FINIALS ~. We acquired a total of four out of the same estate. So please check out the other two we have listed if by chance you need four. This pair of fancy Victorian corbels has a wonderful look and great detail in the design. They measure 24 inches tall by 17 inches long by 3 5/8 inches wide. They are somewhat dirty and would clean up quite nicely, or could strip them and add fresh paint. The wood is quite solid and there are no soft areas or rot. The one side looks like it was exposed to some heat, but it is only on the very surface and really did not hurt the corbels. These are very sturdy well made corbels. These original 130 year old corbels would make a nice addition to your Victorian restoration. ARCHITECTURAL SALVAGE Antique FRENCH WOOD CORBELS Scrolls / Acanthus leaf ORNATE
This is a pair of delicious old French hand-carved wood corbels/pediments that are so ornate! The colour of the wood is very rich and the detailing of the decor is simply superb with scrolls and acanthus leaves. They still carry the peg they were attached to the door with. It can easily be taken off. Each of them measures 13"1/4 x 9" x 1"1/8 thick WOULD BE OF GREAT ARCHITECTURAL INTEREST IN A DOORWAY OPENING. HANGING ON A WALL OR JUST SITTING AGAINST A WALL AND THE OLD WOOD HAS SO GORGEOUS PATINA.
