The body is ironstone, This comes with the jar. The scarce insert and the lid. The jar itself has knob handles on each side for the addition of a leather or fabric handle if desired. The knobs are also decorated. The insert fits securely in the top of the jar and is also decoratedon the top side as shown in photos. The lid has profuse decoration. The unit stands approximately 12 1/2" high. The pail is approximately 12" from handle to handle. In VERY GOOD condition with no damage or reapirs to either the lid or the insert. The pail has one chip at the base. Below the center image on one side(See photo) The pail has a light overall crazing evident on the exterior but not on the interior and no crazing at all on the insert or lid. Beautiful dark blue transfer on nice creamy white ironstone. It is marked on the base of the pail with the Minton Globe mark and the pattern name in a banner. The lid bears a small. Impressed MINTONS 13(or 18) mark on the underside. it is very difficult to read. The lid also bears impressed marks along the edge reading 51(or 5I) L in a circle and N, Very substantial piece weighing just over 10 pounds unpackaged! Bowl measures 8 1/2 inches in diameter and 5 1/4 inches tall Handle ... moreextends out another 2 inches and is approx. 4 inches tall Marked ROYAL IRONSTONE CHINA with the stamp of the lion. Crown and unicorn, with CHARLES MEAKIN ENGLAND under it. This printed mark was used on the earliest pottery made at the Burslem Works location. From 1870 to 1882. There are a few expected minor anomalies inherent with hand-made pottery. The inside is quite clean. Close inspection reveals very minor scratches on the bottom from use over 130 years ago. The glazing on the exterior is very nice There are no chips on the top edge. As shown in the photos. There is a very small crack at the top right side of the handle that appears to have been glued, possibly prior to glazing. This is not very obvious to the eye when on display, and in my opinion it is a minor visual issue. I have tried to be as complete as possible in my description. But I'm not an antique expert and have assessed this chamber pot based on the research I have done. Please look carefully at the photos. As they are part of the description. Because of the age of this item. It will be sold AS IS and returns not accepted. so if you have any questions at all about the condition of this piece, please be sure to ask before purchasing so there are no surprises. This auction is for a Lovely Antique White Ironstone Chamber Pot and Lid made by Johnson Brother. Late Pankhurst& Co. of England circa 1883. It is in Remarkable Condition. Especially for its age. The pot and the matching lid have 12 sides. There are no chips or cracks or repairs or damage- Not Even Crazing. It's that nice. It is extremely hard to find Chamber Pots in this gre at shape especially con sidering wh a t t hey were used for. There is a small glaze bubble at the base of t he lid handle that was from the firing process(see last photo) It adds character and authenticity to the piece. The chamber pot has the Johnson Bros. Late Pankhurst& Co. Royal Coat of Arms black backstamp. The piece dates to 1883 when Johnson Bros. was taking over the backrupt Pankhurst Co. With the lid on. Wonderful Old W. P. Labelle China Chamber Pot with Lid
This is a wonderful marked W. P. Wheeling Pottery) LaBelle China Chamber Pot. It has wonderful bottom wear marks and is finely decorated and hand painted. This chamber pot is most likely dated during the late 1800's and was made in West Virginia. The lid has a very old chip off the outer edge as can be seen in the photograph. The pot and lid have surface glazing cracks. The pot has one 2 1/4 inch crack inside and out and a one 1 inch crack on the top going inside the pot. This one is a surface while the first is on both sides. The pot is real rich in color and shows handling wear. The lid measures 9 inches across, the pot stands 5 inches tall and 8 1/4 inches across. This chamber pot and lid are very strong and solid despite the cracks. It really is a beautiful dated piece.

I believe the backstamp dates this from 1883 to 1913. VERY NICE VINTAGE CHAMBER POT! JOHNSON BROTHERS! MADE IN ENGLAND! WITH LID! NICE BLUE FLOWER AND STEM DESIGN! This is a vintage chamber pot that was made by Johnson Brothers in England. It is the Royal Ironstone series and is made of porcelain and heavy! It comes complete with the lid. It's a great piece! The chamber pot measures 9 inches tall and 11 1/2 inches wide. It has an interesting handle and knob on top of the lid. The floral design is on both sides and extends to the lid. It looks like it had gold paint along the edge. I like how the porcelain is shaped along the top and bottom of the pot and on the lid. It's a beautifully made piece! The chamber pot is in good condition. The design has endured well for its age. The colors are good. There are some chips along the edge of the lid. Inside the lid you can also see some chips ... moreand some staining. There are marks here and there. The gold paint has worn in areas. There is some paint wear here and there. Overall. It's in really good shape for its age. What a fun decorator item! This Antique China CHAMBER POT with matching LID is stamped THE WELLSVILLE CHINA CO. WELLSVILLE, OHIO on the bottom of the bowl. It is 10 1/2" across and stands 5" tall. The gold trim on both pieces is intact with a bit of loss on the lid. The handles are ornately shaped and it is in very good condition for such a vintage collectible piece but does have a chip on the inside of the lid. Vintage porcelain enamel on steel chamber pot. The base has gently curving sides in white with a line of red trim around the top rim. It's large enough and sturdy enough to sit on(of course) The lid fits well and is solid fire engine red. There is a wire handle on the base that has a rotating. Black wooden handle. It stands about 9 1/2" tall, is 10" wide and weighs just under 3 pounds. It came from an estate sale and it's not marked for manufacturer or age. It's clean and in good condition. There are two chips in the enamel on the bottom edge, four small rust spots inside and a few light marks from age.

The back stamp O.P.Co with a solid line beneath, then the word CHINA was dated during 1890- 1895. The pattern is embossed around the base of the top and painted in gold lines frollowing the embossed pattern, the pot base has a pink, brown and blue flower emblem on both sides and again with a gold"v line" design, the lid is embossed with the same pattern around the top edge and painted with gold lines, the center of the lid is painted in brown and blue flowers. They are both in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing amazing for its age, just perfect, except for a slight water mark inside. makes you wonder! These chamber pots are very collectible and rare. Especially with the lid. This one also has a crocheted lid cover. There is a chip on the lid(mostly on the underside) and a few small cracks on the lid. The pot has no chips, cracks, damage, or repairs. The pot is 5" high and with lid approx 7 1/2" high. The bowl part is approx 8 5/8" across and from the handle across is approx 11" I really like this piece but we will be moving in 3 years and we are downsizing. This is a very heavy piece.

This is a vintage porcelain enamelware white chamber pot or pail. Dome shaped black trim lid with swing bale wire and nicely turned wooden handle. It is a heavy duty piece. Measures approx. 10"high to rim has a width of approx. 10” at the rim and the circumference around the rim measures approximately 32 ½” This urn shaped pail is large and the pot and lid together weigh around 4 ½ pounds. There are a couple small chips around the lid rim. Three uniform marks on the bottom(possibly from the manufacturing process) and there is a manufacturer’s flaw of a paint drip as seen on the photo with the scale. Other than that. OK. So here we have an, a-hem.pot-ery chamber pot, I suppose. I should resist even saying this, but I can't: I real ly wanted to list it as an over-sized Victorian mustache cup. Because I was ini tially struck by it s resemblance. Albeit on a larger scale, to just such an item which I also have listed as a separate auction. But this is. Indeed, a chamber pot. Since I've never used one of these and didn't want to practice. I can't give particulars on the methodology of use, so that's up to you to speculate. And I'm not even very sure I want to say this, but it is, in fact.a very pretty chamber pot. If such a thing can be said of a chamber pot. It's an estate item. And in- here it comes- unused condition. I think(hope) It's absolutely without any defects that I can see. No scratches, chips, or cracks at all. ... moreThe beautiful rose decoration is. It is white in color with gold line details. A lot of it showing wear. The pot itself measures 5" tall and about 9" in diameter. There are some natural imperfections inside, a few of which are ... morelightly discolored. There are no chips or cracks that I can see but there is some light crazing. The lid is almost as heavy as the pot. It has light crazing all over as well, with wear of the gold that once was on the edge and the handle. The handle has a nice design. There is a 1" narrow chip on the inside center part of the rim of the lid, and one spot about the same that has not chipped off but it has the cracks present on 3 sides, I would say. It still seems intact, and both are unseen when the lid is on. Those issues do not affect it in any way, as the rest of the lid is fine. The bottom does have a blue mark that I haven't been able to identify, as it is blurry. Overall this is a great estate auction piece with lots of character! It would be great displayed and used for storage in the bathroom for anything from makeup to washcloths to hiding your hairbrush and hair accessories. It would also be a great display in your guest room full of grandma's heirlooms, as that could have been where a chamber pot was kept in the days when used. Scarce lid for chamber pot w/slave & work horses pulling wood drag
This is an antique lid(only) for a chamber/slush pot. There is the letter U& date* inside the lid on outer section. This would mean 1880. Because it is that old. There appears to be a Black man dressed in slave type clothes leading a team of 2 work horses pulling a wooden drag to level the fields. I dont think youll ever find one like this, i have owned it for over 40 years& never found the matcjhing base but it could be put on a plain White bottom. The lid measures aprox. 10" across, the inside has an inner rim that is 7 3/4" wide.The top does domes up somewhat, and the finial is totaly unique, eather a animal or branch? 8 1/2 inches wide 5 1/2 inches high. Handle on pot and lid.pot has no flowers, Cook& Hancock stamp on back, 9 inch lid with handle lid has one chip about 1/2" x 1/2" on edge no chips on pot. One small fracture about 3 inches, but you don't feel any rough edges some grazing( I think that is what its called) as on most old things. some raised design on pot and handles I used it in bathroom for 40 + years for hair pieces etc.

Antique Victorian Porcelain Chamber Pot with Lid Pink Floral Exceptional This is a wonderfully preserved Semi-Porcelain Chamber Pot made by Royal China International of Trenton. NJ. The makers mark is one used by the company between 1879 and 1903. Both the pot and lid are in excellent condition with no chipping, cracks or crazing. Transferware of delicate roses in shades of pink with gilt highlighting. The gold paint show wear in some spots particularly around the edge of the lid. This in no way detracts from it's beauty. This is a substantial piece measuring 8" in height and 28-29" around the widest point of the pot. It is unusual to find a piece of this age in such good condition and with a Lid. Vintage Chamber Pot Enamel on Steel White w/ Blue Trim and Lid Black Wood Handle
Vintage. Antique porcelain enamel on steel, enamelware chamber pot. The base has gently curving sides in white with a line of blue trim around the top rim. It's large enough and sturdy enough to sit on(of course) The lid fits well and is also white with blue trim. There is a wire handle on the base that has a rotating, black wooden handle and it also has an assist pour handle on the side. It stands about 9 1/2" tall, is 10" wide and weighs just under 3 pounds. It came from an estate sale and it's not marked for manufacturer or age. It's clean and in good condition. There is one little nick in the porcelain and a few small rust spots. The metal handle is rusty and it's left rust stains down both sides. There is some staining on the inside. All questions are welcomed. Lid has a chip off the outside edge denoted by the bright-colored dot; lid also has the beginning of an"old" crack that shows as a yellowish line denoted by the bright-colored dot; there are surface scratches to the finish of the piece; both handles are nice and solidly attached to their respective pieces; stands approximately 9" tall(measuring to top of handle on lid) chamber pot stands 5.75" tall and is almost 9" in diameter; marked Homer Laughlin on bottom. Antique Blue Floral With Gold Chamber Pot Royal Ironstone ORIGINAL LID
Beautiful as a chamber pot can be! This Chamber pot has a floral pattern on both the pot and the matching lid of the most wonderful color blue. It is also deeply accented around the top and the lid with sponge marks and shadows of Gold. This is all original. The bottom is marked Royal Ironstone Warranted and has the lion/unicorn mark. The inside is supreme for the age and the lid is fine too. The only damage are a couple minimal chips on the rim of the base. Take a close look at the photos. This is a rare one!
