Vintage Pair of ALLITH-PROUTY RELIABLE HANGERS~ BARN DOOR ROLLERS ~1901 1903
UP FOR BIDS IS A Vintage pair of ALLITH-PROUTY COMPANY RELIABLE HANGERS for the old style barn/shed sliding doors. These are heavy weight cast iron constructed. Patented NOV 19th. 1901 and DEC 8th, 1903. They were classified as No. 2 size. Made in Danville, Ill. I've found a few sets of these over the years but they are very hard to find. They have embossed letters of cast information on both units. Both rollers are in great shape and roll freely. I did not touch these in regards to cleaning or buffing them. This is the way I acquired them from inside a drawer in an old workshop. With no reserve these are a sure steal! Feel free to email me with any questions!

Offered are two. Never-used"Big 4" barn door rollers made by National Manufacturing of Sterling, Illinois. To be clear, these are not 100-year old antiques, and are likely of late 20th century manufacture. Each roller is about 10 inches long and 5-3/4 inches wide at the horseshoe-shaped part. The pulleys themselves are about 3-1/4 inch. These are pretty heavy-duty hangers and each weighs about 3-1/2 pounds. While the rollers were never used. They do have considerable paint loss and light corrosion in those areas. There is no damage or deformation anywhere in the metal. They are as perfectly functional as the day they were made. They'd be simple to spray paint whatever color you liked. I didn't touch them up in case this was the look someone wanted. I've posted lots of pictures so you can look them over. Antique Vintage 3 Door Rollers Cannon Ball National Barn Hardware Rustic Decor
Up for bid is a variety pack of three(3) Barn Door Rollers. These industrial rural rollers are items I found together so decided not to look for the mates. But to offer them for sale. All three turn freely. Need cleaning and or oiling, and are quite different. First is a cannon ball type roller. This item is about 7" long. 1 3/4" wide and weighs around 1 1/2 pounds. Wheels are about 1 3/8" across(contact me if you need more precise measurements) This set is rusty with that rustic look. Has just part of the mounting hardware attached(see pictures) No chips or cracks. Second is a piece with a bit more mounting hardware attached. Wheel portion is about 7 1/8" long and 1" wide. Whole mechanism weighs around 3 pounds 6 ounces. The wheels are about 1/4" wide. Has part that attaches to the door portion as well as three ... morebolts(did not try to unscrew them) Looks like a horseshoe type roller assembly. rusty but solid. The third is a tandem type roller made by" NATIONAL" Has partial hardware on the roller and a single bolt for door attachment(will need at least a nut for this) About 4 1/2" long and 1 3/8" wide(just roller portion) The whole thing weighs around 1 pound 6 ounces The bolt is about 6" long. Vintage NATIONAL BIG 4" Horseshoe Barn Door Rollers Farm Hardware (SET #1)
For your consideration is this pair of National Mfg. Co. Big 4" Horseshoe Barn Door Rollers" Each roller measures approximately 10 1/4" tall and 5 3/4" wide. I found no signs that these were ever installed(see photos. No tracks on rollers or imprints by bolts or barn door on horseshoe bracket) and believe they are new. They were found on a shelf in the barn of a farm estate sale(with the second pair I have listed) and no telling how long they have been in that barn. The roller and the hinge on both move freely and smoothly and I would rate these both in good condition. The box has been wet at some time and a mouse might have had a bite or two. The brackets do have some surface rust and the high spots do show shelf wear. The new owner will decide to refinish or just wipe off and use as-is with character marks and all. This is a set of old Loudon barn door rollers which are marked Louden Roll Easy 1629 on one side and Fairfield Iowa on the other. These came from an old closed down store and I'm prety sure they are unused but have gotten wet at one time and have surface rust on them in places mostly on the barckets but could be repainted to look like new again. The wheels turn fine and measure approx 3-1/4" across and overall including the bracked approx. 10-3/4" long and the bracket would fit a 1-3/4" wide door. Vintage Sliding Barn Door Trolleys Reclaimation Restored Barn Rollers Wheels
Here is a good old set of National barn door trolleys- they remain fully functional. Notice that one of the bolts is bent- I really dont see that being a problem. I would have rather used this set on my door.because they are older and better quality than the newer set I got. They go on a sqare track which you can still get at larger hardware stores. Up for auction is a pair of early 1900's cast iron Myers Stayon barn door rollers. Both rollers are good solid useable barn door rollers with no problems. They are in great shape with no cracks or repairs and both rollers turn smoothly. The raised cast lettering is sharp. Clear and easy to read. All the loose rust and old paint was removed leaving behind the beautifully aged cast iron. The hangers are solid all over with no rust through or thin spots. There are two 6' sections of 1 1/4" wide flat track in good condition. You can butt the 2 factory cut ends together and make an 12' run of track. US shipments only. Thanks for looking.

Here for your consideration is this vintage pair of track type barn door hangers. These are new old stock with out the box. They have never been installed, they are in very good condition with some light blemishes to the paint and some light surface rust on the bolts, the bolts are still very useable! The strap hangers are 6' long, 2' wide and the opening for the panel or door is 1 3/4' so these will work on a door that is 1 3/4' thick, these will hang on a single rail track that is up to 1 1/2' wide, there is no track with these you are buying just the two hangers. Up for auction is a matching all original pair of Cannon Ball barn door rollers from the early 1900's(RARE AND VERY UNIQUE) These include their original brackets so that they may still be hung and used. There doesn't appear to be a makers mark of any kind. Theses are in great condition given their age and are fully functional.
