Which surrounds professional fitted new three-piece green and gold tool insert leather. Below. There are three working moulded drawers to each side of the table. On one side. There is a large compartmentalized central drawer. All drawers feature working locks and keys. Awesome looking quarter sawn oak library table with carvings and turned legs
This listing is for the awesome looking antique quarter sawn oak(tiger oak) library table pictured. It is a beautiful piece of furniture with nice ornate carvings on all four sides and ornate carved pieces attached to the stretcher base. The legs are nicely turned. Dimensions are 45 1/2" wide by 27" deep by 29" high. The finish is medium dark and is in very nice condition. I believe it was refinished many years ago(we have had it for about 15 years and haven't done anything to the finish. I have included a two pictures showing repairs on the two carved pieces that attach the stretcher base to the rear legs on each side. They are old repairs and they are each very strong. I will put a dab of Old English furniture restorer on each repair to help conceal the repairs but I did want to picture them before doing so to make you ... moreaware of those conditions. There is a small knick of wood out of the drawer(pictured for you) and a very small spot of white on one of the rear corners(also pictured) We are downsizing and offering this beautiful piece for someone else to enjoy! A little more interesting than many I have seen. It is labelled F.S. Harmon& Co. FS Harmon is a Tacoma based company that made furniture in the early 1900s. It is labelled on the bottom(pic#4) This library table dates to the 1910s to 1920s. An interesting thing on this desk. Is that the drawer has a hidden spring activated lock below the drawer which is original. You pull the spring knob down(pic#3) and you can open and close the drawer. If you don't pull the spring knob, it doesn't open. Condition is fair to good for age. Finish is old and possibly original. I noticed an area on the top wear the finish is quite worn. I noticed a few rings on the top of the table. Could use ... morea coat of wax but looks nice as is. There are some scuffs and dings on the edges from age and use. Normal scuffs, dings, and scratches from age and use. No breaks or repairs. Overall a very nice example of antique Washington State produced furniture. The double-pedestal base features 4 sided. Graduated columnar legs attached to an H-stretcher. The oak composing the legs and the stretcher appears to be quarter-sawn. A magnificent library or conference table Dimensions 12 feet long by 53 inches wide. Six legs. 35 inches tall. Construction Oak finish; geometric pattern on legs and below table rim. The underside of the table reveals solid wood construction throughout. Using dimensional lumber; that, plus the style, suggests an early 20th century date, but we are not experts. Condition Very good to excellent. With no stains on the finish. There are small nicks and chips on the leg detailing. Missing one one-inch by seven-inch piece of trim on one leg. Tobey Stickley Oak Arts and Crafts Library or Trestle Table
Here is a wonderful Arts and Crafts oak trestle or library table fresh from a Nebraska estate. I believe it was made by Tobey Furniture but it is not shown in the Tobey book. It has a similar cutout on the ends as some others in the Tobey book. The top is a full one inch thick and has clip corners. The table is 42 inches by 25 1/2 inches and is 29 1/4 inches tall. It has a bottom shelf with a cutout at each end. The splayed ends give this a wonderful look. The bottom shelf has through tenon with pegs. It is in excellent condition. No stains and just some minor scratches which I have tried to show in the photos. There are some touched up scratches on one side shown in photos 3 and 4. The bottom of the feet are slightly dry and could be touched up with finish but there is no rot or deterioration of the wood. here is an antique trestle table from the early 1900s in the Mission Arts& Crafts period style in great condition. The piece is made of solid oak with a good old finish but we do not believe it is the original finish. The table is made of very thick and solid wood. The piece has great appeal and could be used in many different rooms and for many different purposes. the party we acquired it from were using the shelf in a different room. there is an old repair to one leg being pointed out in the last photos as is a separation in the top also. this table measures 42" long x 28 1/2" inches deep and 30 1/4" inches tall and with the top on it. ANTIQUE c1915 FRENCH ENGLISH OAK LIBRARY ENTRY TABLE BARLEY TWIST CANE INSET
We are pleased to offer this beautiful. Antique library/entry table! This stunning, French or English inspired table, manufactured by the Knoxville Chair and Table Company dates to around 1915. It features French Country design with quarter sawn oak plank top, barley twist legs, and cane insets in the skirted sections. The oak ranges from golden to dark and the graining is exceptional. The table has a single large drawer on the front side with original, ornate, teardrop pulls. The sides and the back of the table repeat the skirted and cane inset design so the table is beautiful from every angle. The bottom of the table features braced legs and center stretcher bar. The table has the original flat screws and bolts still intact. The manufacturer's sticker is fixed inside the drawer and a partial sticker is still attached under the table ... moretop. The Knoxville Chair Company, of Knoxville, Tennessee, was founded in 1901 and closed in 1935. This table predates their"Art Deco" pieces which were much more modern looking. The table is in very good condition with very little signs of age or use. There is one hole in one of the cane sections(see photo 6) It is very hard to discern and certainly does not distract from the table. The table top is in good condition. There is one ring where a vase or something sat, but, because of the grain pattern, it is not glaring or distracting. The table has a more"oiled" finish as opposed to a varnished finish. It has the oval design on the top, and scrolling ... morebeveled edge shape on the bottom shelf, four long cabriole legs that come down into an empire curl foot. Inside the 3.5 inch skirt is a dovetail drawer, right in the center, and it is of tiger sawn oak construction throughout. The overall size is 38 inches wide, 25.5 inches deep, and 30 inches high. The overall condition is good, and you can see where the solid top is laminated together, although it is very tight and sturdy. Beautiful Tudor / Jacobean carved oak library table
Up for auction is this handsome carved oak library table. It measures about 48" long x 28" wide x 28.5" high. It has a dark fumed oak finish and a beautiful quartersawn oak grain. I presume it was made in the 1900's or 1920's or possibly earlier and would fit very well into any Tudor or Spanish Revival interior. There are some major issues. Though. There is a large, deep burn mark on one corner. The burn is almost 3/4" deep along with superficial burned surface surround it. The finish with very worn and would benefit from restoration. All of the bun feet are missing sections. Otherwise, a sturdy piece.There are two deep drawers one located on each end of the table. A very nice table and worth the work. Priced to sell. This Antique Library Table is in good condition. As you could expect from a piece this old there are some very minor wear marks and minor nics. The table does look like the picture but if your looking for perfection this table is not for you. The top was refinished at one time. There are some wear marks under the finish. One very distinctive mark. It has one drawer at the center. The table measures Approximately 48" long x 28" wide x 29" high. Its exact origin is unknown. The wood type is quarter sawn heavy flecked White Oak. We believe it was made around the early turn of the century. It will be disassembled for flat box shipping. This table has beautiful quarter sawn tiger oak wood. It measures 36" X 24" and stands 29.5" tall. This table has a manufacturer stamp in the drawer by its maker. The Brandt Cabinet Works, Hagerstown, Maryland. The pedestal supports are smooth lined. It is a family heirloom, belonging to my grandparents. We are pleased to offer this EXCEPTIONAL antique table. This is a stunning table with intricate carved details. The table is a fine example of Moorish Fretwork and. According to a published expert in this field, was probably made by Moses Younglove Ransom in Cleveland or Frederick Rode in New York City. The table is oak with a quarter sawn. Plank top and carved, twist trim. The table has turned legs with an interesting, repeated pattern. The feet are rounded and nondescript. The table features a very beautiful, rare, double stretcher. The stretchers have turned wood, stick and ball style, supports that lead to a square accent of barley twist(spiral) spindles that are woven together. This is an intricate design and is superbly achieved. The table is old and dates to the around 1885. There are no manufacturer's marks or stamps. The table ... moreis in very good condition with only minor signs of age or use. There is a circular water ring on the table top that is not too distracting. One of planks of the table top has separated from shrinkage/age and there is a space. It does not affect the table in any manner. The table is sturdy with a normal amount of slight movement. This is a fabulous table of unique design. On April 19. A wonderful ebay member contributed the following: I've only seen a couple of these tables before. I own two of them both stained dark and probably mahogany. One is identical to this design and the other only has one of the woven shelves but the legs. are also barley twist. I am mostly convinced that these were made by Moses Younglove Ransom in Cleveland. Ohio. The main reason for this attribution is the tapered spindles used in the woven shelves. I have seen these identical spindles used in stairway balustrades that I believe were made by the C.S.Ransom Company. I found several of these tables in Cleveland antique stores that also had good collections of Ransom's Moorish Fretwork screens, where I bought one of mine. Overall Dimensions: 95 ¾” x 41 ½” x 30” L x W x H) Table Top: 93” x 39 ½” Distance from floor to bottom of the frame: 24 ½” Weight: 163 lbs. Each of the 4 massive legs is made up of 3 or 4 pieces that were glued together before being turned. The leg diameter about halfway up is 4 ¾” And the foot diameter is 5 ¼” There are a few scratches on the top. As you would expect to find on a table that was used for decades. This is a gorgeous Charles Limbert quartersawn oak library table. It has the burned Limbert Art& Crafts stamp on the inside of the drawer. On the left. 1930's Feudal Oak, Jamestown Lounge Company - Library, Drawing or Kitchen Table
This rare. Circa 1930’s, distinguished, large rectangular table has a carved apron, is crafted with solid oak wood and supported by four turned legs, connected by an H support. There is no use of veneer or plywood! I is structurally tight and sound overall with a medium to dark walnut stain and a hand rubbed lacquer finish. This is exceptionally well made by the Jamestown Lounge Company. Founded in 1888 and was well known for its high-quality furniture. The piece is clearly marked“Feudal Oak. This is a solid oak library table. With no veneer, no plywood. It measures approximately 42" x 26" x 29" high. The drawer measures approximately 22" x 21" It was made by the Wolverine Manufacturing Co. Detroit, Michigan which was organized in 1887. Vintage Antique Solid Oak Wood Library Dining Work Table Desk Rustic 5' Restored
For auction is one freshly restored vintage oak library table. It has a solid oak frame and legs and an oak veneer top. The two drawers have solid oak handles. It has been stripped. Sanded, stained, and refinished in a natural Danish oil. I usually prefer to keep the original finish when possible, but this table was truly in dire need of refinishing. There are still a few flaws present, but they simply add character. There are some thin, dark scratches on the top still, as well as areas along the edge and corners where the veneer has worn through. There is also about an inch long depression on the back edge where there is still the remnants of a small burn mark(pictured) DIMENSIONS: 59.5" long. 31.5" deep and 30.5" tall. Clearance from bottom edge to floor is 24.5" and distance between legs on the long and short sides ... moreare 50" and 24" respectively. Old School Library Table-39 x 72-Oak
This great old table has been in my home for 30 years. I have used it as a dining/breakfast room table. the table measures 39& 72, Oak wood, solid, heavy, I tried to get a picture of the legs but it was to dark I will try again& add to photos. The finish is original& hasn't been stripped. When I moved it the movers left a spot on the top which is lighter than the original finish, which could be blended into the wood to match original finish. Moving to retirement home& cannot use it anymore. THIS IS A PICK-UP ONLY SALE.
