Rich walnut and has walnut burl medallions and accent pieces on the base and legs and around the decorative skirt of the top. It has four legs and a turned center post which goes all the way to the table top. The walnut has a fine patina. The table top is actually octagonal due to the corners. This is fine craftsmanship. It measures 30 X 22 inches. And stands 38 inches high. This lovely 19th century table extends out to 10 ft 4 inches and could accommodate several more leaves but only three original leaves come with the table. All the original bras casters on intact on the feet. Base and center leg and this table has a solid walnut top, raised panels of burl walnut accenting the apron and a splendid carved base which also has raised burl panels and carved scrolls accenting each leg. This table measures 30 inches in height from the floor to the top.With a height from the bottom of the table apron to the floor of 25 1/2 inches. Without any leaves the table measures 48 inches across, with 1 leaf in place 48" by 60" with 2 leaves in place 48" by 72 inches, with all 3 leaves ... morein place 48" by 84" and this table weighs approximately 150 lbs total. This Victorian Dining table has a beautiful presence and is solid and tight. There is an area on the edge of the table about 2 inches long that looks like it has had a repair at some point in time. Being offered for sale is this lovely Victorian Renaissance Revival Walnut& Burl Walnut Library Table Writing Desk circa 1875. This fine 19th century table offers a large faux suede writing surface. Raised panels of burl with incised carvings, fluted legs, carved roundels and turned finials with the original casters intact on all four feet. This writing desk is equally beautiful on all four sides and can be placed in the center of a room. This is a tutor style desk with one working drawer and one faux drawer on each side. Each of the drawers have pin& cove dovetailed ends and the original inverted wood pulls. This writing table measures 30 inches in height. 41 inches wide by 23 inches deep and weighs approximately 50 lbs. The kneehole height measures 23 1/2 inches from the table apron to the floor. Large Antique 1800's Victorian Dolphin Leg Burl Walnut Parlor Table GORGEOUS
Up for auction is a GORGEOUS antique mid to late 1800's large oval all wood parlor table in excellent refinished condition. This table is a wonderful example of veneer and wood carving skills. The top is an all veneer top with large 20" wide piece of beautiful burl or crotch walnut as the wood. This is rare wood at this size and goes to the age of the piece. The edges are beveled in burl at a different angle that catches the light. The 3" scalloped side edges are veneered in burl with cast leaf appliques all around. This table top sits on solid carved mahogany legs and a detail carved center post. All four legs are gorgeous! This is a large oval shape measuring 59" long x 48" wide. It is 28" tall. This table would fit well in an 1800's home with a large parlor. As a centerpiece table you could decorate this ... morefor parties or everyday use.
