This is a honey of a little chest with cute tiny flared French feet and a super scrolled base board. All of the escutcheons are adorned with diamond shaped satinwood inlays and the chest is further defined by great satinwood string inlay with a double string inlaid top. The brasses are finely embossed with decorative urns and pineapples. Just super brasses and one of the best bachelor's chest to come to the New England market this year. Antique Victorian Aesthetic walnut 5 drw chest w/pull out shelf
Offered for auction is this very nice circa 1870's-1880's AestheticWalnut Victorian chest of drawers. The chest is a very nice small size. 38" t x 30" w x 19" d. It has 5 graduated drawers and under the top drawer is a pull out flat shelf for writing or folding clothes(see pic 4) The front stiles have nice Aesthetic carvings at the top and the sides are recessed rectangular panels surrounded by molding. Plinth base and raised on casters. The stamped brass bail handles and backplates have a wonderful scenic design. The top has been used a lot so will need to be cleaned up and maybe even refinished due to all the scraping and scratches. But still is useable and functional. Scratches, dings, etc consistent with age and use.

Hand carved of walnut with matched burl drawer fronts. The original finish is remarkably well preserved. Antique Victorian Walnut Drop Well Dresser w/ Marble Tops Ornate Hand Carving
We are pleased to offer to the market this beautiful antique drop well dresser. Constructed from walnut. This piece is ornately carved. The piece stands 91.5" high at the center of the mirror. The base is 44.5" wide at the bottom and 44" wide at the top of the drawers. It has an overall depth of 18 1/8" and the height of the center well is 16 5/8" The hardware on this has been replaced but still matches quite well. The pulls all have lion faces on them. The marble slabs that sit on the top of the drawers have a space that is approximately 1/2 an inch on each side where the wood shows. I am unsure as to whether these pieces were replaced or not. The slab of marble that sits on top of the well fits snugly and appears to be original to the piece. There are"wings" that attach on each side of the mirror that ... morehave attached candle stands on the front. These also have ornate carving on them. The mirror has beveled glass and is in good condition. There are some age separation cracks on the side panels and there is also a crack on the inside panel on the left side. There are some light surface scratches on the bun feet and base from use and most likely from a vacuum cleaner. This is a previously owned item and it is being sold as shown. French Louis XVI Style Marquetry Marble Top Commode Chest of Drawers Cabinet
French Louis XVI Style Marquetry Inlaid Demilune Marble Topped Commode Early 20th Century Item# 130008LWP26 Simply gorgeous and perfectly preserved in every way. This fine French Louis XVI Style Commode is simply above reproach. At least a century after being crafted entirely by hand, the commode remains in nearly identical condition to when it left the shop. Clearly maintained in a home that cared for it and kept humidity at a stable level throughout it's life, the piece does not display the typical issues commonly associated with these heavily inlaid works of art. The mixed stone brèche d'Alep top is a wonderful variated surface. Full of color and activity, completed with a thin molded channel around the edge of the demilune form. The facade is a mix of five drawers and two cabinet doors; the top drawer is broad with crossbanded ... moreveneers framed in olivewood stringer inlay. It rests over a pair of drawers with a continuous inlaid image of a vase overflowing with flowers and foliage, hanging from a bow-tied ribbon draped on the keyhole escutcheon over a cross banded ground and framed in the same stepped rectangular olivewood stringer inlay that completes each drawer and door. The inlay is incredible intricate. And remarkably there is no peeling or lifting along the edges of this veneer, as typically happens when the piece is stored in an environment with poorly controlled temperature and humidity. On either side of the cabinet, small drawers swing outwards over the cabinet doors, these hand dovetailed at the back of each. The cabinet space is divided with a single shelf. The entire commode rests over turned and tapered legs that are topped and terminated in brass mounts. This is an outstanding find for any collector of French Louis XV and XVI antique furniture. Specifically if you seek out utmost quality in your furnishings. This state of preservation is difficult to find and is highly desirable by collectors and decorators alike. Spectacular"Highly Figured Solid Maple" Chest of Drawers Circa 1895 I fully restored this lovely piece.It features incredible"highly figured" solid maple with Birdseye maple veneers on the oxbow top drawer fronts. All of the brass hardware. Including the key hole covers are original.As you can see the hardware is the icing on this cake! The original drawer locks are all in place and in excellent working order using the beautiful key I had made. The top of the dresser has incredible patina and some of the finest grain figuring you will see.The top is first class all the way. All drawers were totally rebuilt and slide like silk. The drawers feature the highly sought after dovetail joinery. I restored the finish all by hand using a custom rich stain to achieve the highlighted rich burgundy followed by many. Many coats of ... morehand rubbed varnish.When you rub your hands over the finish you will feel the superb depth and notice the beauty of the amazing maple grains. This is a"bonnet top" dresser meaning the top two drawers protrude and overhand the lower level drawers. The sides have great architectural design with the paneled construction. Like any fine antique. This piece has minor imperfections and character marks in the wood. The posts which hold the drawer handle in place are brass plated steel, some of the plating has worn off after 135 plus years. The photos show casters in the legs. They will not be included.I find they tend to split the legs.There is a knot depression on the upper left side(see photo) I think it adds character and figuring just like the top of the dresser. This piece is solid. Early American Antique Dresser Chest Drawers Country Colonial Furniture 1875
An American made classic. beautiful solid cherry wood chest of drawers.this dates from Circa 1875 This piece dates from the Colonial Revival period. I restore antique and make custom furniture. I rescued this gorgeous chest. It was on it's way to a landfill, buried beneath a dark brown paint.I was intirgued by it's design, but I fell in love with this piece when I saw the stunning wood grains hidden under the brown paint. The wood is solid cherry with wonderful, rich grains and textures. Some parts of this chest may be red birch or maple.The cherry wood is both sapwood and heartwood. This accounts for the varied colors and grain patterns, in this beautiful chest The side panels are cherry veneered plywood.I love the blackened grain highlights on the side panels. The wood has many beauty marks including a small age related crack(non-structural) ... morein the top left edge(see photo) I think it adds great charm to the piece. Just like the nails across the top drawer where someone added a piece of wood to the top edge of the drawer(see photo) I think the top drawer edge looks awesome with the exposed nails and the wonderful colors.The"eye brow" shaped drawer pulls are all original. You won't find more beautiful and unique solid cherry wood pulls, the grain patterns are superb. I restored this chest from top to bottom. Including all of the drawers being taken fully apart and restored. I added a wood reinforcement strip in the back of one drawer. the drawers feature dovetail joinery on the front corners with box joinery on the rear corners.I custom added the trim(solid maple) on the bottom edge of the side panels I restored the entire finish by hand scraping, followed by many, many coats of hand rubbed varnish.The top drawer has a lock,without a key.This lovely chest has hard earned beauty marks such as nicks, dings etc, consistent with any fine antique. With flame mahogany veneer on the drawers, thick brass circular hardware(typifying the Federal period) and really great carvings at the bottom, finishing off with scrolled feet. Welcome to our ebay sales! ITEM DESCRIPTION: For your consideration is an Art Nouveau shaving stand with mirror. Circa 1880. The mirror is housed in a large solid maple frame with a curly maple base. The compartment on the base has a hinged lid and is lined with brown felt. The only veneer on the shaving stand is the 2" curved strip around the front of the compartment. Shaving stand has the original brass latches, as shown in the pictures below. Exceptional piece! SIZE: Shaving stand is 32-3/8" wide at the base and 27-1/2" tall. It is 26" wide to the outer edges of the harp and the mirror itself is 21-1/2" x 18-1/4" The base is 8" deep and 3" high. CONDITION: There are a couple very minor gliltches. But overall, the shaving stand is in excellent condition. There is a small chip along the front edge(see ... morecloseup) that is probably as old as the stand and is under the varnish. The black marks on the base appear to be a stain in the wood. There are no cracks or splits in the wood and there is no real damage to the stand. Antique Victorian Dresser/Vanity/Toothbrush Box Rose Finial
Up for auction is this stunning antique wash stand vanity set box for a toothbrush. This is heavy china unglazed on the bottom. Lid rim and bass top. The decoration is a beautiful robin’s egg blue. Then garlands of flowers around the lid and base bowl. The only mark on the piece is the embossed number“119” The lid is pierced and has a gilded rose finial. The inside of the bowl has brackets to hold the brush and allow drying. The box is 8 3/8” long. 3 ¾” wide, and 3 ¾” tall to the top of the lid finial. There is a small gap in the unglazed rim on the underside(this is not a crack. Does not go through, but is shrinkage from when this was made common in iron stone) The piece is in excellent vintage condition with no nicks. Chips or cracks. antique victorian mahogany heavily carved dresser mitchell & rammelsburg empire
ebay allows 12 pictures. for this piece that is not nearly enough to do a decent job in describing and showing it. at any rate. Here is a wonderful antique serpentine front dresser most likely by mitchell and rammelsburg. if not by them, someone equally as gifted in furniture making. the dresser is mahogany and stands 94.5 inches tall on its original porcelain casters. it is 49 inches wide and 24 inches deep. it has 4 drawers. the one at the bottom does not appear to be a drawer. it was crafted to be a hidden drawer. there are no pulls on it and it is carved differently to appear as the bottom splash board of the dresser. the dresser is quite heavy, the drawers are well made with the front serpentine boards being about 1.25 inches thick. notice the joints of the drawers, all hand cut dovetails which date the piece to circa 1870-1880. it has ... morea large mirror harp as you can see that is pierced carved and has candle stands, finials, crests, and other nice details that make this a very desirable dresser. the mirror is arch shaped and shows some smokiness and a little silver loss. the mirror is actually in better condition than most. i do not know if the mirror is original but the backing appears to be. at the base of the mirror harp on each side is a nice glove box with a drawer that is hand carved dovetails. i forgot to get pictures of these with the drawers open, nor did i show the four drawers of the dresser open as i ran out of picture spaces allowed by ebay. the drawers all open with ease and each drawer is designed for its specific space. i have a book that is dated 1991 that lists a dresser like this but not as nice for 2250.00. it has great form and beauty, the front of the dresser corners are especially nice. the marble is original and is in great condition for its age. any questions please ask and if you want more pictures i have several and would be glad to supply them, again just ask for what you want. the dresser may be picked up at my home or shipped at buyer's expense. i know the pictures are bad, i

Here you are bidding on an"Antique Oak Hotel Dresser" This is a beautiful item. It is a side step dresser that was primarily made for hotel rooms. Hence the name'hotel dresser' It has four drawers on the higher side all complete with the brass around the keyholes. The lower side has a drawer over a hat/bonnet box(this drawer missing the brass key lining) The drawers and hat box door all have wooden handles. There is a back splash on the lower side that may or may not have been added at one time, I'm not sure. It can be removed or left on, your preference. It is a beautiful quarter sawn oak grain. Both sides of the dresser are paneled. It is circa 1875. In overall very very good condition. Intact, sturdy and functional. the chest has been stripped of paint and refinished some where in it's life. it has all wide mahogany boards. it notched on the bottom base on left and right! old dovetails. wavy back all most like is has been plane. it has been restored as you can see bracket on the inner and base and old green paint. ABOUT 32 1/4" TALL BY ABOUT 37 1/4" WIDE BY 18" DEEP. I been using it in the kitchen. the center drawer is deep so it has room for blankets and towels. it not the best restoration somebody did but it is looking good for age and holding its own according to a expert. now in the back left corner it is missing a little piece.maybe 1 1/4" by 3/4" and it is a bit slanted AT ONE END/ to fit in. the strip in the back part of the top is oak.
