ANTIQUE STONEWARE CROCK JUG W/ LOOP HANDLE & CORK
Beautiful stoneware jug with original cork. The bottom is a rich dark brown with a creamy top. I love the shape of the handle with it's swirl effect. There are no makers marks that I can see so I have no idea who the craftsman was. It does show pride of craftsmanship. It measures 8 inches tall and 4 inches wide at the widest point. Would look lovely in any display. Happy bidding.

Awesome Antique Stoneware Brown Jug or Crock!
This is a WONDERFUL! VERY OLD stoneware jug or crock! It has some interesting imperfections. It has a beautiful rich brown glaze on the inside and outside. There are some very minor chips in the underside and edge of the lid. Other than that it is perfect! There are no cracks or damage anywhere else. It is about 8 inches from handle to front and roughly about 6 inches tall. I have no idea how far back this goes in my family. It truly looks like it could have sat in one of their pioneer homes of the 1800s. There is no mark on the bottom. I am setting a reserve of $55 on this. Thanks for bidding!

A 17th. century “Westerwald” salt glazed stoneware beer jug around 1690
From an old Dutch stoneware collection I’m offering a German beer jug. The jug was made in Westerwald in Germany at the end of the 17 th. century. The jug is decorated with leaves in manganese in a decorated grey square against a cobalt blue background. On top of the jug there is a pewter lid. Which dates according to my opinion, from a later date The condition of the jug is almost perfect, there are two very small hairlines in the handle and there is a crack in the foot(see pictures) furthermore there are no chips or restorations. Antique GLEN GARRY HIGHLAND WHISKY Stoneware Jug Port-Dundas Pottery Co. Glasgow
You are bidding on a vtg/antique Glen Garry Old Highland Whiskey stoneware jug produced by Port Dundas Pottery(Glasgow. Scotland) somewheres between 1878 and when the factory closed in 1930. From the makers mark we are fairly certain this piece dates to about 1901-1919. Around 1920-1930 Port Dundas Pottery begain marking their stoneware with just the words"Made in Scotland" pic 12) Although Port Dundas was in business since 1828, it wasn't until 1878 when they were the first to introduce transfer printing, onto stoneware and advertised they could stamp bottles in color(In this case black) This would have been with a hand held rubber stamp, taken from an etched copper plate. This stoneware jug is in exceptional condition for its age. No chips. Cracks, or repairs. The original cork is missing. The black transfer graphics are still ... morevery clear and crisp. There is a bit of black transfer ink on the neck of the jug. This was common as we mentioned they were hand stamped and obviously the worker who stamped the bottle had transfer ink on his hand. Measures approx. 8" tall and 5 1/2" in diameter. The base is approx. 3 1/2" in diameter. Shipping weight approx. 4 pounds 8 ounces. `0d.RcmdId ViewItemDescV4,RlogId p4%60bo7%60jtb9%3Fuk.rp*fc%3E%3E%600d-13d0b0f806c-0xfa-

Antique Stoneware: Rare L. Kendall Ovoid Jug w/ Cobalt, Chelsea, MA, ca.1840, NR
An uncommon 2Gal. Ovoid Jug from Massachusetts. Ca.1840's. This bears The cobalt-washed stamp of Loammi Kendall, who started a small stoneware manufactory around 1836 in Chelsea, just north of Boston. His production numbers were relatively small and his name is rarely mentioned in discussions of early New England potters(L. Watkins, pp.45-46) This appears to be one of Kendall's earlier Ovoids. The form is not perfect, and the top indented- most likely bottom-stacked in the kiln. The upper and lower handle terminals are primitively brushed with vibrant Cobalt, and there is a wonderful hand-carved stopper that sits perfectly in the spout. This piece has typical manufacturing imperfections(clay scars, stack marks, inclusions, etc. but no post-production flaws! Please see photos for further description and details. A fine, early example ... morewith a primitive character that will not disappoint. This 2Gal. Ovoid weighs 8.2 lbs and measures approximately 9-1/2"W x 12-3/4"H overall. The wood stopper adds another 1-1/2" 7-Days with No Reserve! I ship professionally and promptly with tracking and full insurance included. Antique Stoneware: 19thC. 1 Gal. Jug w/ Primitive Cobalt Decoration, *NR*
BEAUTIFUL 1 GALLON ANTIQUE STONEWARE/COBALT JUG featuring a handsome cobalt design. Jug is approximately 12" tall and the base diameter measures 7" There are no marker's marks. The handle is in great shape. There is. However, a chip out of the jug lip(see photo) It is quite smooth so it has probably been there for many years. There are a few small chips on the front(see photos) Again, they are smooth and appear quite old. There is a very thin and tight hairline 5" crack at the back of the jug which extends on to base of the jug- about 3" The jug appears quite stable and these imperfections do not distract from its charm and beauty. I am not an expert and selling in"as-is" condition. I am downsizing and have to let go of some of my treasures. Happy bidding! No minimum.

ANTIQUE STONEWARE 3 SIDED FLASK SHAPE JUG CROCK FOOT WM
Offering this unusual Antique Stoneware Flask Shape. 3 flat sides, Crock Jug Foot Warmer from a local Tampa Estate that originated in Pennsylvania. It stands 11 1/2 inches tall and is 6 1/2 inches wide. Much speculation as to its intended use and concluded that it was designed to be used for some type of alcohol beverage storage/ aging, thus the flat sides allowed for rotation. Another sensible answer is the Foot Warmer that had flat sides to keep it from rolling around in bed of buggy or bed at home. It is a beauty with no markings that I can detect. No info offered at sale other than the family originated in upper New York, Pennsylvania area. No damage. INTERNATIONAL BUYERS PLEASE NOTE: Import duties. Antique Cobalt Blue Decorated Stoneware Jug; Old Salt Glaze 19th Century Pottery
Up for bids we offer a beautiful. 19th Century, 2 gallon, stoneware jug in exceptional condition. Right out of an estate, this salt glazed piece has a folksy, cobalt blue floral decoration on the front as well as an underscored number"2" above it. It was found in the western New York region and isn't signed by the pottery that produced it but there's a good chance it is a Lyons- Fisher or Burger jug. It has a gorgeous, dark, and earthy coloring along with that speckled, salt glazed surface. This piece is very well preserved and has only one small pitted type flaw near the handle. There are no other chips, not even around the spout or the bottom edge. The handle hasn't been broken and there aren't any cracks or hairlines anywhere on the piece. As a little bonus, we'll include the very nice, hand-carved wooden ... morestopper it was found with. The jug measures about 13 1/2 inches high with a bottom diameter of 8 1/4 inches while the very top measures 2 1/4 inches across. As far as condition goes, this is the nicest piece of decorated stoneware we have ever found. It would make a super addition to any collection and also a top notch example to start one off! We offer this quality piece of 19th Century Americana up for bids with no reserve. Good luck! On Mar-01-13 at 20:29:29 PST. The opening is approx 1" The only condition issue to report is a small hairline crack in the back which does not go through to the interior. See photo 7. Bottom Marked Stoneware Cone Top One Gallon Jug by Buckeye Pottery
For your consideration is a vintage stoneware jug made by the BUCKEYE POTTERY of MACOMB ILLINOIS. This jug is a one gallon size and is the cone top style. I do not know much about this company. What I do know is this company was formed in 1882 and was sold in 1941; I beleive this jug to have been manufactured during the first decade of the twentieth century. In 1882, the technology to use this type of glaze had not been invented. The companies that I have studied got the technology to use this type of glaze between 1894 and 1901. From the table to the shoulder is approximately 7" This jug has a total height of approximately 10 3/4" The bottom is slightly over 7" in diameter. This jug has a crack on the cone, not far from the handle. It has a chip on the shoulder and another chip on the lip. There are three minor to insignificant ... morechips where the sides meet the bottom. This jug displays wonderfully, but is not perfect; before purchasing, please carefully look at the photos. Check out my other listings as I combine shipping when practical. This saves the buyer money. The buyer is assured this jug will be well packaged and shipped promptly. I'll try to answer any questions. I'm very easy to get along with, if communication is adequate. I check my email several times a day. This jug will be shipped by UPS Ground. Shipping for this jug is $12.74.

This jug has a total height of almost 9 1/2" To the shoulder, is approximately 6" and the bottom is approximately 7 1/4" in diameter. This jug has 0 cracks, however it has several chips; these chips have a vast range in size and some are much older than others. Antique Stoneware Crock Brown Slip Glaze Moonshine Shoulder Jug
Authenic early 1900's Moonshine Jug Antique Ceramic Stoneware Pottery Whiskey Jug Crock Beehive Salt Glaze Brown Heavy old jug weighs in at nearly six(6) lbs. and is over 9" tall. 7 1/2" diameter Put a lip lock on this 1 1/4" neck and do some serious draining This old moonshine jug is the real thing. Was passed along to me many years ago so I know this was used as it was meant to be used. This jug wasn't made to be admired but what it held was. Antique Vintage Primitive 2 Tone Salt Glaze Stoneware Jug/Lamp Hand Painted
This is a wonderful old brown top salt glazed whiskey jug measuring approximately 11 inches tall and a diameter of approximately 7 inches. The jug has no cracks but does have a few chips. 4 around the ledge of the jug, 2 of which are not that noticeable because they are located almost right on the ledge and blend in very well. The other two are just below the ledge(see picture 3) This jug also has a small hole drilled at the bottom of the back side for an electric cord(see picture 3) to be used as a lamp. The front side of the jug has an hand painted apple motif. Some of the paint has rubbed off but again does not in any way take away from the beauty of this jug and in fact would be expected for the age. The handle is perfect and the jug has had no repairs. There are some manufacturers defects(see picture 4) the most apparent which looks ... morelike a dent. I think it enhances the charm of this old jug. A beautiful jug for any collector or for decorative purposes.
