This is a Vintage 6 piece vestment set which was once used in a Catholic Church. It consists of a chasuble.Dalmatic,cope,humeral veil,stole, and chalice veil. It was made by the Maryknoll nuns in Kyoto Japan. The chasuble is 43 inches long from the neckdown, the dalmatic is 45 inches from the neck down and the cope is 57 inches long.The pieces are made from cream silk with beautiful gold brocade trim. The lining of the cope and chasuble needs to be repaired and there is wear around the neck. The chasuble has fraying around the neckline and shows wear. The gold brocade trim needs to be restiched in places. The set needs to be cleaned. The set is being sold as is. The fabric and trim are in good condition considering its age. Antique French Humeral Veil Here is a truly magnificent Humeral Veil from France. It is 104" long and 21" high(not including the fringe) The applique of the Virgin Mary is simply beautiful. The humeral veil is a cut-velvet poppy pattern. The metallic gold and silk fringe is 2" long. It has pleated pockets(see last photo) but no clasps.
