Vintage Catholic Vestments with Gold Metal Like Threads
This set of vestments have been in my family for over 30 years. They were purchased at a flea market for use by a seminarian that never became a priest. The vestments are in great shape but a little wrinkled since they have been in storage bags. The set includes a cope. Stole, maniple and dalmatic. The fringes and embroidery on the back of the cope are made of a gold, metal like thread or wire, green sequin-like glitter adorns the crosses, red glass sequins adorn the embroidery on the back of the cope. The material is a gold damask with a gold satin lining. The embroidery on the back of the cope is quite extraordinary. I would be happy to send more pics. Please feel free to send any questions. Vintage burse vestment Catholic MASS with other burse and vestments
This vintage black moire burse includes another silk green burse with gold silk embroidered cross. Along comes 3 folders(I am not sure how you call them) a red. Black and gold one with ribbons with silk embroideries. It is a beautiful set. Yes there is damage to it. Some fabric is ripped on the black burse. Some stains inside folders or on the back. The white cover for the calice is damaged and goes with the black or other folders. These are old but precious items to collect. Canadian citizens will pay applicable taxes. Authentic Priest Vestments Slabbinck Chasuble Ghost Catholic Costume 3 Pieces
3 piece authentic priest's vestments. These are real priests vestments not a cheap Halloween costume or knock off Including white long sleeved under dress. Red chasuble with yellow/gold silk embroidered trim and purple velvet stole with gold embroidered cross. White under dress is large. Sized for a tall adult male and has the'slabbinck' label in it. It is is excellent condition excluding a candle burn on the right arm. Which you can see in the photo but when the red chasuble is worn it covers it. The red chasuble is also in good condition. As you can see in the photo at the back by the neck the gold silk trim is a little frayed and there is a repair to a tear at the front which is not really even visible. See all photos) DESCRIPTION AND CONDITION: This antique vestment set is unusually ornate and sometimes considered religious art. The Chasuble is made of what appears to be crinkly satin/rayon panels with black velvet insets. Trimmed in beige and black borders. The front is approximately 35 inches in length and the back panel which is longer is approximately 43 inches measured from the top of the shoulder. The back center panel is of black rich velvet with the most exquisite metallic dove(representing the Holy Spirit) in a 3-D effect at the top center. It appears to be beautiful hand work. The dove image with total rays is approximately 9 ½ in diameter. In overall excellent condition considering the age. No tears or stains. What might appear to be discoloration on the left edge is only a shadow. Item would benefit from a professional dry cleaning. The Stole. Made of the same matching black velvet, trimmed in delicate off-white ribbon, and has a cross near the bottom of each side in the same off-white material. The length is approximately 42 inches each side, plus a 2 fringe. In overall excellent condition
