Estate fresh. I am offering a wonderful Antique Cast Iron and Wood Desk made by"Sleeping Giant. It was once used in a one-room schoolhouse in a suburb of Chicago. The wood appears to be maple and the frame is stamped Silent Giant. This is available for local pick up only. I will cooperate with a shipper that you arrange if you'd prefer. Please understand that this desk is in original. Unrestored condition and is in very nice shape. Vintage school desk for sale. Swivel seat. Desk top lifts up, light blue paint on body, and pencil tray make this perfect for coloring, afternoon homework, or just a place to dump the backpack. Tons of storage inside desk. Some rust and dings but these add to character of piece(not perfect- vintage or shabby chic) Very sturdy. Seat and/or desk may be adjustable but I've never tried.
