Again with a proper cleaning this can address this. The Only major defect is small burn mark on desk portion. I took many photos so what you see it what the desk has. There are 2 drawers on the shelf that were added and not part of the desk. That is why they don't match. It has been displayed in each of our homes for over 50 years. It was always stored on the main floor. Never in the basement or garage. It was cleaned and polished on a fairly regular basis. It has not dried out. We have been using it over the last few years as a computer desk. The second photo was taken by me of is of the original owner in 1959. We are located in Freehold NJ 07728. This listing offers the child's roll top desk. Since I'm uncertain of the age. I won't mislead anyone. I was told it was late 19th century, but again, please judge from the pictures. Don't be afraid to ask questions. I'd be glad to help if I can. And if you can help me pinpoint the approximate era of construction, I'd be happy to learn. The top rolls easily. And the overall piece is in solid shape. I did notice some modern screws were used to replace some older ones on the legs. But most joinery appears to be vintage, in my opinion. For auction a nice mid century reproduction of an antique roll top desk. Brand: Oak Crest. Solid oak. Roll top works great. Both bottom drawers have built in letter size file folder racks. Nice removable wood dividers in top and middle drawers. This desk does have a few issues. there is no key to open the roll top so my husband therefore removed the locking piece on the top so you can simply open and close the rolltop. Antique Walnut Roll Top Desk - $499 (pick up only in Plymouth, Michigan)
This desk was built by Standard Furniture Company. Herkimer NY. The dimensions are: 50" wide, 32" deep, 43.5" tall. As far as I can tell, everything is original and the desk is in very good condition. The lock on the roll top bears the name Standard and still has the original key. The center drawer has a label inside it indicating that the desk is walnut and was built by Standard Furniture Co. The center drawer also has the remnants of the Standard Furniture Company's official seal, with an eagle in the center. Some of the walnut veneer has come off, especially on the lower legs and on the front left side of the roll top frame. I will not ship the desk. You must pick it up in Plymouth. Michigan 48170.

ANTIQUE VICTORIAN OAK ROLL TOP DESK PARIS MFG. CO. S PARIS, ME NO 61 1860-1920'S
Here is a wonderful and useful roll top desk from the Paris Mfg. Co. In original condition. The desk is made of oak and stamped on the back w/Paris Mfg. Co. South Paris, Me, No. 61. It has an antique patina and nice full size, but not being overwhelming in any room. The Paris Mfg. Co. was started by a man named Henry Franklin Morton as a hobby in 1861. The company first made sleds which were hand decorated by Morton's wife, Lucinda, in their kitchen at West Sumner, Maine. In an effort to stay in business year round, other goods were added, and Morton and his wife moved the operation to So. Paris, Maine, to be closer to a railroad depot. Anyone with access to a catalogue from the Paris Mfg. Co. from that era can accurately date each item. Large Antique Oak Roll Top Desk Vintage Very Nice
For sale is a very nice classic antique roll top desk. This desk is in excellent shape and all original. It is quarter sawn white oak and measures 65.5 across x 35.5 inches deep- uncommonly large for a vintage roll top desk. It stands 51 inches tall with the superstructure in place. I purchased the desk from an antique store in Pueblo. Colorado about 10 years ago and was told that it came from an attorney's office from Westcliffe, CO. I am no antique expert and can't estimate the age- only clue is the lock hardware that states a patent date of December 1884 and inscribed with"Corbin Cabin Lock Co. We are converting our home office into a bedroom and no longer need it. I have kept it regularly moisturized with Howard Feed-N-Wax wood preserver. All drawers are original and appear to have never been repaired or altered. The roll ... moretop is in excellent shape including the underside material and rolls smoothly to close and locks securely. Mail slots on each side(for after hours mail delivery if desk is closed and locked) see photos. Keys are included. Antique Vintage Roll Top Tambour Desk with Chair.
An older an HEAVY rolltop desk. The rough measurements are 5ft by 2/12ft by 4ft. Some chips on the corners but overall in great condition. Has a lock and key for one of the drawers and a lock for the roll top part. I dont have the key for that lock so I took it off but it comes with the desk. Solid and constructed of oak, this is relatively easy to move as it comes apart with ease. Measuring approximately 32 inches deep, 49.5 inches wide, and 49.5 inches tall, there is a center drawer, 4 drawers on the left, and 3 drawers on the right. Though the pictures show 4 drawers on the right, the bottom is actually the depth of two drawers along with a center divider. Additionally, 2 of the drawers on the left feature pre-cut slots for ease in separation of your possessions. This is an Antique Oak"S" Roll Top Desk with raised panels that has been beautifully restored. This desk is from my Grandparents home as I can not ever remember not seeing it there and I am almost 50 years old. I do not have a maker on this desk but have to believe that it is from the early 1900's. I would love to display this in my home. But my home will not accommodate it. It is 54 inches long. 3 feet wide and 4 foot tall. It is Oak and it has 4 drawers on the left hand side and 3 drawers on the right hand side. There is a brass plate in which to lock the desk. But I do not have a key for it. The colors and details are beautiful. With it being so old. There are some imperfections as you can see. On the left hand pull out there are little holes in the wood. Not sure if they were put there by someone or if something happened ... moreto the wood. On the back there is a knick of wood missing as you can see in the picture. Two of the drawers bottoms have been replaced and two of the drawers have what looks like as stains, but it does not get on anything. Beautiful Antique Secretary Desk Honey Brown Roll Top Desk
Really beautiful desk that we got from an estate sale many years ago paid several hundred dollars for it at the time. It has remained unused and mostly for decorations for the last few years. The chair is a bit rickety and needs some screw tightening but we were able to use it without a problem when we needed to. The desk is in good shape everything needs a bit of oil in the joints but again we were able to use everything in the desk as is. The desk is structurally in perfect condition an absolute beauty and a gem. But*review the pictures for some slight marks from wear and tear* We aren't sure what year the desk was made but it is absolutely beautiful. ANTIQUE "CHIPPENDALE" STYLE ROLL TOP DESK
I am NOT an antique dealer. This beautiful desk has been in the family for at least 40 years. I have been told by an antique dealer that the desk is Chippendale style. Northern European, circa 1880-1900. Based on some old accounting books that are still in one of the drawers it was in Amsterdam in 1950. Most likely made of pine(which was most common during that period) Interior door front possibly made of birch wood. Lovely Oak Roll Top Desk with Oak Chair with leather upholstery. You can tell from the photos there are some scratches and wear on the leather seat of the chair. The cloth underneath the roll top part is starting to show signs of wear and could be developing a split on the left side. The desk comes apart into pieces for moving.
