Antique Vintage Subway Tile Bullnose 6-Inch Trim 'Robertson' Early 1900's
Please note: the price listed is for one piece of tile(there are 12 available for approx. 6 linear feet) All of them have crackled glaze and some staining under the glaze along the top edge(see pics) Also. Sealing is recommended if these will be installed in a wet location. Please contact me with the quantity needed and I can give you a shipping estimate. These are'Robertson Art Tile' bullnose caps. I'm not sure of the age as these were found in a mixed lot of tile. They were in business from 1892-1920, but these are most likely from the very early 1900's. They are approx. 6" long with about a 1/2" offset between the top and bottom edges. The overall thickness is 1 1/2" and they will project from the wall 1 1/2" Most have a few tiny flea-bites on the edges and/or light scratches. Overall. They are in nice ... moreshape and have barely any thinset on them for a clean installation. Any edge grout will be removed prior to shipping, they will pretty much be ready to install. Check photos for condition. As far as color. I would say these are an antique/off-white. I do have scraps to send out as swatches for $3 if needed. Thanks for looking. Feel free to ask any questions.

It is a mottled brown/caramel color. There is crazing under the glaze. There are 91 whole pieces They are just over one inch by 6 inches long and are 1/2 inch thick and 1 1/2 inches wide. Overall they are in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as they are antique. They could use a good cleaning. There is some paint on the faces and some mortar residue on the backs. These have been salvaged from a home in Holmes County Ohio. On the back they are marked with a Curved Sword Piercing the Moon and One Star. We have tried to research this maker’s mark and are presuming this was produced on the Ohio River from the Alhambra Tile Company in Newport KY. We have contacted the Historical Society in Newport KY and they also believe that these were produced from the Alhambra Tile Company. Still. We all could be incorrect but below we have inserted the history for the Alhambra Tile Co. A lot of these tiles were shipped out of this company through the canals during this era. Many fireplace tiles located in Holmes County and the surrounding areas have this ... morestyle. Shape and color of small Subway Tiles. These tiles are in as removed condition and being sold as is. We have not cleaned them. They need a good cleaning to really show their true colors. I have cleaned one tile to show you the beauty of these old colors of aqua and cream plus some muted yellow tones. Some have old chips. New chips, very nice conditions. staining and half tiles. Some tiles are nice and clean on the back. Others have residue. They will all leave a chalk trail where ever they go! Also. All have that wonderful crazing and the smoke residue still resides on many of these tiles! Please note all photos and email with all questions. Villeroy & Boch Subway Tile ...Absolutely Gorgeous
Okay folks.this one is going to floor you.I have acquired a King's Ransom of brand new old stock Villeroy and Boch Subway tile. 50 tiles per case and each tile is 2.5 x 6 inches.resulting in 6.89 square feet per box. These boxes sold at retail for a MINIMUM of $65 each and that was an old price. In terms of colors I have two available(and you're just going to have to go by the pictures and box descriptions on these for the official word. Unofficially I would call one an off white that is sort of like a very fine cup of latte with heavy on the milk The other color is sort of a lavendery sort of kind of color. Both are absolutely beautiful. Seriously beautiful. And if you know anything about Villeroy and Boch you know that we are talking about high end stuff. Every piece made in France and one thing that is really interesting about ... morethese boxes is that about 20% of the tiles in each box are glazed on the side and are to be used as edging pieces per the instructions in the box. Lots of boxes available of each color. A steal at $40 a box but the catch is that I am not mailing these tiles at all. If you want them you'll have to pick them up. And to keep it totally factual just in case"latte" and"lavendery" are not a good description of the colors I would encourage you to please look carefully at the pictures. You will see the contrast of the tiles versus other white Villeroy and Boch white subway tiles that I've surrounded them with. In addition. Please look at the pictures of the boxes. Tile number is 1310.and color code for one is 235(latte) and the other is 247(lavender) Neither is in the current Villeroy and Boch numbering system so latte and lavendery seem like good names I guess. 30Pcs Antique Aetco 893 Subway Tile Capping 3x6 Bullnose Ogee 1905
Lot of 30 pcs of antique subway tile capping. Made by the American Encaustic Tile Co of Zanesville. Ohio. Marked on the backs as well as series 893. Two pieces are National C107. The same exact profile as the rest. The only difference is the top ledge that returns to the wall is 1-1/2" and the others are 1-3/4" A big. Thick capping that was used in grand apt buildings and hotels around the turn of the century. There are 23 pcs that measure 3"x6" 18 are in very nice vintage condition with varying crazing and minimal. If any chips. One is a National. 4 have extensive chipping on the faces. One is very nice but gas a chip out of the ledge. There are 3 partial pieces of about 2-1/2" each. There is one 3"x6" returned stop tile. Right handed. There are(2) 3" x5-1-4" factory sized. Not cut right hand ... moreoutside corners. And there is one 3" x6" left hand outside corner that is one of the two Nationals. A nice lot for restoration or for a smaller project.
