This will last another 100 years if it's taken care of and fixed up right! Carved wood sides and base. Floral tapestry upholstery is in good condition( no stains) The trim has come off(see second photo) on the sides of the sofa. But can be re glued easily. There are dings and paint marks on the bottom base. You could easily sand and re finish.The seats sink in when you sit, It needs some spring work for sure, but it's not like falling in a inner tube, its more like a slope if you sit on the edge of the couch. I was quoted $400 on the springs when I inquired a few months back. It needs some TLC. However, these couches are highly collectible and sought after! Victorian Style Couch/ Chaise Lounge for Doll House
This romantic piece is in the Victorian style. It is extremely well made there are no defects it is in like new condition. Is very heavy for its size and it weighs a little over a pound. I am not positive but I think it's made of resin. But it could be porcelain. Im not sure. What I am sure of is its Beauty and the workmanship which is excellent. It has the back cushion buttons that give it a soft look. And that was done expertly. the colors are soft and romantic which are perfect for this piece. The brown back trim is floral with leaves and vines, and the very top trim is of bunches of grapes and vines. The details is incredible. It looks like the real thing only smaller! Hello. Today I am offering up for bids this really neat Victorian style"Fainting Couch or Chase Lounge" It is doll size with wooden legs and frame and a stuffed green cloth top. I purchased this at an auction about 12 years ago. The auctioneer thought it could have been a salesman sample and stated that at the time of the sale. It also could have been used for a store display. You be the judge. It weighs over 6 pounds. It is 23 inches long. 9 inches wide and at its tallest it is 9 inches. The green painted feet have some paint warn and flaked off, giving it a true early distressed look. The green stuffed covering does not looked damaged but will need to be cleaned. There is a round stain about the size of a golf ball on top in the center.
