Old archer's ring. Jade. Dark muddy celadon color. The ring was cut from the outer edges of the rock and shows the rind of the outer rough surface. There are two pronounce fractures with iron stains. Else the color is mottled and translucent. Top edge is domed and bottom has a inward slope. The ring is a size 10 American. Inside it is marked sterling Pat Oct 9. 1894. It is an early Gorham sterling. It has the Lion Anchor G hallmark. It is a zodiac ring. It has the ARcher the bow and arrow which is Novembers Zodiac sign It is very detailed and the Archer is raised out. There is a large arrow below that than there are very ornate letters that read November going down. They are so ornate I did not realize what they were at first. The other side of the ring has a gorgeous raised out flower and leaf design. Just ... moregorgeous. Normally on these old victorian rings the details are usually wore down. This appears to have been worn very little as you can see all the details on the archer and flowers. It is a thick heavy ring weighing 11.4 grams. It measures a tad over 1/2 inch wide on the center of the ring. The back of the ring has a tiny opening which is original on the old spoon ring. It is a size 8 on a professional metal ring sizer but it can be made a tad larger or a tad smaller as it has the opening on the back. It is in great condition with no damage.
