This is an extremely rare late 16th century handmade blood relic of Saint Philip Neri pendant. It has a very detailed handmade silver casing with dimensional swirled edges and a wonderful patina from age. it also has its original 16th century red wax seal still located on the back of the pendant. The relic is very well made and under a beveled octagon shaped piece of glass. it has his name written on the bottom with a drop of his blood in the center and a piece of his linen in the background. it is nicely styled with gold ora around the blood and nice metal thread trimming the bottom. it is in nice antique shape and extremely rare. measures 1 1/2 inches long by 1 1/8 inches wide. This is a genuine antique artifact relic that I dug up in my back yard by accident in 1993.My property is 50 feet x 150 feet as is the house to the left and the house to the right.All three house were built in 1915.I believe that if any one that lived in this house before me had lost this piece in the yard it would have been very easy to find as it is huge.I think it has been in the ground for a very long time. Unna(Anna) Candida, Roza, Martina, Pacificus, Valerie, Bertrude, Catharina, Exrmina, Alfonsus, Bonifacius, Simplicianus, Ursula, Virginia, Aclestrina, Martelaren, Beneaiktus,Tucxdus, Fransicus, Jacobus, and Fandxada. Rare large Antique French Reliquary Leo XIII domed glass with original seals. This piece is quite unusual. The center is a wax seal with the date of 1903 at the bottom. This is the year Pope Leo XIII died. I'm not sure if this was a memorial or something that was blessed by the Pope? Most of the small beads that were once placed around the wax have come loose and move inside the frame. The rest is in perfect condition including the original seals. The glass on this piece has a beautiful domed shape and the work around the seal is stunning and intricate. A beautiful treasure. Size: 11" x 8" 1/2. This is truly a rare and remarkable find. A beautiful tribute to Pope Leo XIII. His picture graces the front of this well preserved book, and as you can see in the photos, it's attached impeccably with tooled, raised edging. The binding is in great shape, and the book holds spaces for large and small photographs. The front cover is thick and hard, and the back and binding were crafted with a fabric that looks and feels like rich upholstery. As you can see, it has a working metal clasp that's ornate and in beautiful condition. The album was most likely created in the late 1800s to early 1900s, during the papacy of Leo XIII. This is an excellent choice for the collector, and as far as I can tell, you'd be hard-pressed to find another. It's difficult to say that it's one of a kind, but I have no evidence to support that this ... morewas made en masse. The album measures 11" x 9" and is 2 3/4" thick.
