First class relic( ex 0ssibus) of Saint John Eudes. John Eudes was born at Ri. Normandy, France, on November 14, 1601, the son of a farmer. He went to the Jesuit college at Caen when he was 14, and despite his parents' wish that he marry, joined the Congregation of the Oratory of France in 1623. He studied at Paris and at Aubervilliers, was ordained in 1625, and worked as a volunteer, caring for the victims of the plagues that struck Normandy in 1625 and 1631, and spent the next decade giving Missions, building a reputation as an outstanding preacher and confessor and for his opposition to Jansenism. He became interested in helping fallen women, and in 1641, with Madeleine Lamy, founded a refuge for them in Caen under the direction of the Visitandines. He resigned from the Oratorians in 1643 and founded the Congregation of Jesus and Mary(the ... moreEudists) at Caen, composed of secular priests not bound by vows but dedicated to upgrading the clergy by establishing effective seminaries and to preaching missions. His foundation was opposed by the Oratorians and the Jansenists, and he was unable to obtain Papal approval for it, but in 1650, the Bishop of Coutances invited him to establish a seminary in that diocese. The same year the sisters at his refuge in Caen left the Visitandines and were recognized by the Bishop of Bayeux as a new congregation under the name of Sisters of Our Lady of Charity of the Refuge. John founded seminaries at Lisieux in 1653 and Rouen in 1659 and was unsuccessful in another attempt to secure Papal approval of his congregation. But in 1666 the Refuge sisters received Pope Alexander III's approval as an institute to reclaim and care for penitent wayward women. John continued giving missions and established new seminaries at Evreux in 1666 and Rennes in 1670. He shared with St. Mary Margaret Alacoque the honor of initiating devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus(he composed the Mass for the Sacred Heart in 1668) and the Holy Heart of Mary, popularizing the devotions with his"The Devot

St.Padre Pio who bore the Passion of Christ for just over 50 years but he gave his body to Christ to use so that people could see that the Passion of Our Lord was anything but very unpleasant. St. Padre Pio wanted to share in the Passion of the Death of Jesus& so for over 50 years he bore the holes in his hands. Feet, side. He lost over a cup of blood a day. He loved to say Mass& the Eucharist was the most precious item that he could talk about! For over 12 hours a day he labored& toiled in the Confessional listening to the confessions of the people who flocked to see him. They knew that he was a holy man, that he had the Stigmata(the Passion showing on his body)He could also read minds, bi-locate, levitate, more. But sometimes he would be in the confessional& someone did not reveal all of his sins, Padre Pio reminded them ... morethat they had to say a very good confession. But the Eucharist was his bread& his life. He died in 1968 just 50 years after his stigmata. Good Luck! by adding my eBay Store to your FavoritesCheck out my!Be sure to add me to your! Saint Rita- Fabulous relic card with a piece of the vest of the Saint of Lost Things and Impossible causes Fantastic holy card. Made on cardboard with brilliant colors. The prayer on reverse is in Italian. Comes directly from Cascia. Saint Rita of Cascia(Born Margherita Lotti 1381- May 22. 1457) was an Italian Augustinian nun, widow and saint venerated in the Roman Catholic Church. Born in Roccaporena, Italy, Rita was married at an early age. The marriage lasted for 18 years, during which she is remembered for her Christian values as a model wife and mother who made efforts to convert her husband from his abusive behavior. Upon the murder of her husband by another feuding family, she sought to dissuade her sons from revenge. Popular pious legend recalls that Rita was flown into the convent by Saint Nicholas of Tolentino. Saint John the Baptist ... moreand Saint Augustine, where she subsequently joined an Augustinian community of religious sisters. Rita was known for practicing self-mortification of the flesh, along with the apparent efficacy of her prayers and is venerated due to various miracles attributed to her intercession, and is often portrayed with a bleeding wound on her forehead, which the Roman Catholic Church claims to have been a partial stigmata. The Roman Catholic Church. Under the pontificate of Pope Leo XIII officially canonized Rita on May 24, 1900, while her feast day is celebrated every May 22. In many pious Catholic countries. St.Gemma Galgani is one of the most loved saints who ever lived. She died at the age of only 24. Of TB. She was a Passionist Order Stigmatist. She bore the holes of Christ from His Passion, she was very loyal& brave to the very end. She was not too healthy& should never have asked Our Lord for the Stigmatism, but she had to do it, it did not help her life or the extent that she may have lived longer if she had not delved into the Passion of Christ, but there was no stopping this brave girl. She was someone who I would have loved to know. I give her a big hand, as I wanted the Stigmata also& my husband wanted to kill me for even suggesting it. But not everyone can do it, it takes a very brave& gutsy individual to be able to do it. Good Luck! by adding my eBay Store to your FavoritesCheck out my!Be sure to add me to your! Here's a 1st class relic of Saint John Neumann complete and intact In 1835. John Neumann completed his studies for the priesthood in Europe. At this time there was an overabundance of priest, so bishops were not ordaining anyone. St. Neumann wrote to the bishops in North American and was ordained by the Bishop of New York in 1836. He was assigned to Germanspeaking communities around Niagara Falls. In 1852 he was appointed Bishop of Philadelphia. Criticized by many influential, wealthy Catholics because he was not charismatic, eloquent, handsome or refined and had a thick accent, St. Neumann had an uphill battle as he built new churches, organized the first Catholic diocesan school system, founded the Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis of Philadelphia, and originated the Forty Hours Devotion. St. John Neumann is best known for his ... moreextraordinary spirituality, intense devotion to the Eucharist and selfless commitment to the service of all people.

In northern Italy. At that time Forli was part of the Papal States. Peregrine's family supported the anti-papal faction. In 1283 the residents of Forlì were under interdict. St. Phillip Benizi. Prior General of the Friar Servants of Saint Mary, was sent to try to reconcile the divided community. While trying to preach in Forlì, Philip was heckled and struck by the eighteen year old Peregrine. Philip was driven from the city with insults and ... moreviolence. Peregrine repented and asked Philip for forgiveness. St. Philip received him with kindness. The moment had a profound effect on Peregrine. Filled with remorse, he began pray more and to channel his energies into good works. A few years later, he joined the Servites in Siena and went on to be ordained a priest. After some years he was sent back to Forlì. Where he founded a new Servite house there and became well known for his preaching and holiness as well as his devotion to the sick and poor. It is said that he miraculously multiplied grain and wine during a severe shortage in his area. People took to calling him the"Angel of Good Counsel, so grateful were they for his wise advice so freely given. One of the special penances he imposed on himself was to stand whenever it was not necessary to sit. When tired he would support himself on a choir stall. At the age of sixty he developed an infection in his right leg. His condition deteriorated to the point that the physician decided to amputate his leg. The night before the operation Peregrine spent time praying before a fresco of the Crucifixion in the chapter room. He fell into a deep trance-like sleep and seemed

I have an antique French collection of saint relics c. 19th century. It is likely from the 1870s-1890s because of the presence of the St. Philomena who was widely venerated at this time. The collection has St. Mary Magdalaine. St. Francis, St. Reparata, St. Philomena, St. Colombe, st. Prarede, and another I cannot read because it's in French. The case and inner relics are in good condition however the strings have been damaged from the case being improperly opened or closed over the years. there also small dent to the back of the case. There is also a beautiful embroderie of a rose in the center.
