EARLY AMERICAN ROCKER, 1700s? Professionally replaced wood splint seat bottom and oak rockers with original dowel pegs. Early American Rocking Chair believed ... moreto be late 1700s. Previously misidentified as a "Mushroom Rocker" from 1800s, but believed to be much earlier. The split oak seat bottom was professionally restored and the original rockers were professionally replaced about 40 years ago. The chair has been in my family for about 100 years. Held together with pegs-no screws or nails.

Late 1700s to Early 1800s Antique Mahogany Captain's Liquor Box 4 Compartments
Late 1700s to Early 1800s Antique Mahogany Captain's Liquor Box 4 Compartments Presented is an antique mahogany Captain's liquor box with four compartments. There are no bottles in the compartments. But these can be purchased separately. The compartment dividers lift out easily. The box was once lockable. But there is no longer a key. On the lid is a sturdy metal handle. Please scroll down to see our photographs. The box is from the late 1700s to the early 1800s. The exterior of the lid has a seam that is a little loose at the back left corner. This could be tightened. There is some damage to the exterior of the box near the keyhole. On the underside of the box there is a very fine split across the width of the box which could be repaired. The interior of the box. As is evident in our photographs, the green velvet lining is in disrepair. ... moreThe interior could be re-velveted by the buyer. The mahogany box is over two hundred years old. It would be wonderful to revamp the interior. You could re-stock it with the right kind of bottles as a liquor box. If not. It would still make a lovely jewelry chest or a special chest in which to keep your treasures! Length from Front to Back: 7 7/8inches. Width: 8 ¼ inches. Height: 8 inches. Described by: LM. Please scroll down the page to see all of our photographs. Shipping: If you are an international buyer. Any taxes, import fees, or customs fees imposed by your country are your responsibility to pay.
