Mahogany Chest George III English Circa 1780 "Brown Wood"
Presenting a beautiful. Original, circa 1780 chest of drawers, from the George III period of English furniture. Veneer is mahogany, and base wood is oak. The condition of this piece is excellent, and it would be a beautiful addition to your collection. There is one scratch on the top, which is shown in the photos, about 8 inches long. There are small scratches around the drawer pulls, only visible up-close, and due to 230 years of wear and tear. Gorgeous patina, in near perfect condition. 2 of the scussion plates were replaced, on the bottom 2 drawers- it is not noticeable and only gives the piece more character.
