Vintage Mersman Mahogany Colonial Revival"Surf Board" Table#6326 w/Inlays This is a Wonderful Vintage Mersman Mahogany finish"Surf Board" table with beautiful inlay design work. Acquired from an elderly estate in overall very good condition with normal signs of use/wear for it's age ie. Minor scuffs/dings on legs etc. see pics) The table is nice and solid with no looseness at all. However. There are a couple of areas I will mention, the upper surf board edge has a small area at the back of the table where the ends do not completely meet(see picture) this looks to be the way it was designed/manufactured, there is some residual white marks which appear to be from where it was against a white wall, as a note, they might just clean off, but I will leave that to the new owner) Also, on the underside of the bottom shelf ... morethere is one screw missing from the eye-hook support.see pic) Does not seem to have any effect on the stability of the table at all. Mersman Tables was founded in 1870 by J.B. Mersman. They made fine quality tables for 100+ yrs, sadly they ceased production in 1995. Beautiful Mersman table in fantastic condition. Made in the 60's to reflect the past Formica wood grain top in flawless condition. Base is real wood with metal claw feet Looks like it had been covered up for most of it's life with granny cloth lace top One of the dowels a little loose where the dowl goes into the base. Might need glueing or adjustment. Sounds bad but just only minor Has normal light wear for age. Worst is shown a scracth on top side measures 24" high. Each has dark brown stain, a single drawer, with composite applied decorative front. Each drawer has two flower shaped solid brass pulls. Each drawer is machine dovetailed and measures: 15 1/4" x 12" deep x 7" tall. The drawer bottoms are wood composite. The top surface of each table is dark faux leather. Overall size of each side/end table: 21 1/8" tall x 22" wide x 28" deep. These tables are pre-owned and have been used. One of the brass drawer pulls has some paint residue.
