The legs are bolted on(see pics) which make for easy shipping, assembly and tightening up if the need ever arises. The top's finish is stable with no worn areas- there are however some scratches and some denting to the veneer scattered evenly in one or two areas. The color of the wood and the satin finish definately minimize the appearance of these- but the surface is not flawless. This is a great mid century long bench or coffee table. The sides and the legs are ebonized and the top is solid rosewood. We have seen this attributed to Milo Baughman. But this is unmarked. It measures approximately 54" long x 16" wide x 14 1/2" tall. This is vintage and has been used, it needs some TLC. The top has a large stain which you can see in the pictures and it does have some bumps and bruises appropriate to age and use. If you have any questions feel free to ask. The top is matte aluminum on one side and real rosewood veneer on the other side. Please see our other listings for the matching Modus lounge chair and ottoman. The table is in very good original condition. Rosewood frame is excellent. The aluminum side of the top shows some scratches. Which could probably be sanded/buffed out if desired. One of the pieces that holds up the top(a threaded piece of metal with a black rubber ball attached, which screws into the frame) is not original, but the replacement is a good match and it is not at all noticeable when the top is in place. All traditional Chinese joints are strong and tight, this is made out of solid wood without any signs of plywood. The wood has plenty of different natural figures and streak, it is very dense and heavy for its size. There are plenty of ghost markings on the wood and this is one of the priced huanghuali by Chinese collectors. The size is 60" X 17" X 16" tall. A very fine signed: Baker Furniture. Louis XVI style coffee table. The scroll footed cabriole legs support the serpentine skirt. The skirt with serpentine molding has a rosewood veneered top. It measures 18" tall by 50" wide by 24" deep. The table is of maple boards with a walnut finish. Excellent condition: original finish, feet hardly a scuff mark, boards without chips or cracks, 1" long shallow dent, and thin shallow 1-1/4" dent to top(see photos. No ring spots to top.
