Hitchcock Queen Anne Tea Table 18th Century Reproduction
With its gracefully flowing cabriole legs and expertly shaped slipper feet. This table clearly shows the expert craftsmanship synonymous with all hitchcock reproduction furniture. Featuring a decorative scalloped apron and pull out candle slides with brass pulls, this handsome and useful table is typical of those made in New England during the third quarter of the 18th century, circa 1735-1750. It should be noted that with its simple, clean lines this table is well suited for a traditional or contemporary room setting. Wood species is cherry. Bench made by hand with little intervention of modern machinery by Jim Buchanan of Clarksville, Ohio. The condition remains simply exceptional, this piece clearly cared for lovingly and cherished with great care- only the most minor evidence of prior ownership is visible in the surface(detailed in the condition notes) of the gorgeous solid Cherrywood ... moreemployed in all primary parts. The underside of the table shows deep hand chiseling of the blocking and scrolling of the apron, left unfinished and in the rough, the same way we enjoy the exposed secondary surfaces of period furniture. A fine looking recessed top Queen Anne style Thomasville* Tea Table with pull out drawers on both ends. 26” tall. 28” wide and 18” deep. I do not know types of wood but it looks like it could be cherry(but please don’t quote me on this) Stamped Thomasville 1967 with an ID# of T-90-6376-17. Taken care of quite well but does have some bumps and bruises. Elegant little table is marked on its bottom as a No. 515 Tea Table. Manufacturer unknown. It looks to be mid-century. Mahogany or possibly cherry, and is Queen Anne style, with a carved shell design on its two longer sides. The recessed table top measures 28 inches by 18 1/8 inches. It is 25 1/2 inches tall. There are two pull-out trays for service that measure 13 1/4 by 7 5/8 inches each. This table would make a great side table or end table or accent piece. It is in sturdy. vintage Queen Anne solid cherry tea table with 2 sliding candlestick holders
The table is 23 and 1/2 inches tall. 13 and 3/4ths inches wide, and 28 inches long with the candlestick holders not out. It was made by Crescent in the 1960's/early 1970's of Pennsylvania cherry. There is a heavy plate glass top cut to fit it. There are a few dents and scratches, but the glass top has protected it. I just noticed none of the pictures have the candlestick holders out so that we will have to add pictures.
