This neat old bureau was picked from a Massachusetts home and is 100% ORIGINAL in every way. The finish is not mint. But the photos show its really nice although it does need cleaning and polish to look its best. The drawers are dovetailed and in good shape, the pulls are original and all present. I was given this chest of drawers in high school in 1956. It is solid wood and extremely sturdy. It is maple but in the 70s I stained the chest a darker color. The original color can be seen on the mirror and inside of the drawer. You could remove the stain if desired. There are no stains or defects. I remember it was a name brand like Ethan Allen. But I cannot find it on the chest. A gift of this chest of drawers would last another lifetime!

Front of dresser is in excellent condition with a very nice finish& shine. Mirror seems newer& in excellent condition. Only condition issue with dresser is in back-the wood piece that holds the mirror was cracked& glued at one time. Not visible from front. You could always restore that piece if you wanted. This is a highboy dresser designed by Eliel Saarinen for RWay Furniture. It's part of a nightstand and vanity set(please see my other listings) This is a very solid piece of furniture. The drawers have a contrasting wood grain, and the legs are an interesting curved design. This is in need of refinishing with various scratches and signs of wear. It is structurally sound and very sturdy. The drawers slide without sticking. There is one chip to the veneer on the front between one of the drawers. No other repairs would be needed, only refinishing. It measures 36" wide, 21" deep and 49" high. It is labeled"1952" inside the drawer as pictured. This is quite heavy.
