Vintage Ucagco Japan hand painted pitcher w applied flowers. Looks German, exc
Ucagco Watering Can with Applied Flowers 6 1/2 in. h(with handle) x 3 in. w(without handle and spout) x 6 1/2 in. w(with handle and spout) 12 oz. This beautiful pitcher is in excellent condition and is reminiscent of an old Meissen or Dresden piece. The craftsmanship is beautiful. But not quite as precise as those makers can be- see how the holes in the spout weren't completely finished in photo 3. It is in excellent condition! I have examined each flower numerous times and I found a small chip on the front of a purple flower(on the back of the pitcher, picture 7) I also found a similar but smaller chip on the back of a leaf that is located on the spout. I have cleaned this but it could use more precise cleaning, mainly on the inside. The pitcher is a little off white and seems to have a light brownish wash on it. An online expert has indicated that the Japan only marking indicates the item may have been made prior to or around 1925. That is the reason this item is listed in the"antique" section. Beautiful Pitcher. Has a few very small nicks on handle. Barely noticeable. It was made in Japan but I don't know the maker. Blue and white and is 8" tall. I cant find another one on google. I posted an image but got no results. The pictured is textured, not smooth. Has been in my possession for over 25 years. I hate to get rid of it but Im in a bind. These two pieces are very Nice. The basin has pink roses and gold leaf scallops. It was in Japan. They appear to be in very good condition. There is a small chip in the middle of a rose on the pitcher. One side of the inside of the basin there are tiny black dots. Like it was made that way. I'm not sure. This is"in the making" and not uncommon to find like this. There is also some paint wear on one side of the handle(fee 4th& 5th images) Otherwise, there are no other chips, cracks, flakes, hairlines or restoration. Decorative Vintage Handpainted Pitcher Marked Brinn's T-1153 Made In Japan
Gorgeous handpainted decorative vintage pitcher. Having detailed handpainted pink.Yellow and red rosies with a yellow background and trimed out in gold and gold handle. Pitcher is marked on the bottom T-1153 with a foil tag Brinn's Made in Japan. Size is 6" high and 6 1/2" wide which included the handle. This piece has no chipping, crackes or crazing. Even the gold handle and trim shows no wear. I had found this deep in the basement of a very old estate sale. There is some black stuff around the bottom brim that I can scrap off with my fingernail but will leave the detail cleaning to the buyer! A gorgeous piece to add to any collection!
